Completely agree. I have recently found Wicca, though I have been actively spiritual for a while longer. I wrote my own Samhain ritual a while ago. I was all in verse and rhyme and was completely mine. I felt stupid during the ritual, reading off a sheet of paper and speaking these silly rhymes. I tried one at a full moon recently, completely off the beat, no ryhmes and no sheets of paper. This felt so much more natural and the magick was really there and tangible. Just thought I'd share that...
I am so glad I found out I'm a pagan and that the path guide me to it, not that I chose. However, since there are many type of paganism, I need to find out who I am. It's hard to describe but first, let me take you back two days ago. I felt so happy with everything around me. The light in the bathroom, outside sunshine, the trees everything was sacred. However, since I can't act on it, it doesn't always seem that way.

Do you believe in a religion? Or in spirituality? For me they are one but many calling themselves Wiccan/Pagan/spiritual have no true faith in their practice because it has no power. They lack true belief in a real deity and a real spirit world and practice a form of limited left-brain psychology instead. Ritual is de-energized and becomes a game of intention and self-motivation instead of a deep, meaningful and fulfilling connection to the within and the beyond.

From the point of your video, I realize that I have been interested in Wicca for quite some time now (perhaps over a year). And yes, I am a teenager. Often I have been truly confused and distressed over not having a religion. But something keeps turning me back to Paganism. I think it's because Wicca is more about the internal feelings to me than the rites and rituals. There is room to really feel close to something beyond reality. @TiffanyL101 hello :) When you do spells "on the fly" you really have to concentrate upon your intent! If you do not have your toold handy and have to :make do" then that adds to your intent,as well.I've had my tools not taken away,but have had to put them away, because I was accused of sacrificing small animals on my altar,by my oldest daughter,the police and Child Protective Services. i was crushed,and no,there is no worse feeling than having your spirituality stripped from you,or taken away.

I am at a point in my life , in that I have stopped worrying about which religion to follow, and started to just BE. Doing the things you mentioned, like walking through grass barefoot, or closing your eyes and listening to the trees can make you feel so peaceful. It's in those quiet moments you can feel the prescence of something..... wonderful and supernatural and ancient. It's in those moments you can truely be at peace with yourself. I second this! "Winging it" gives me more satisfaction and works for me more than trying to concentrate on doing it right. My very first spell was winged and worked beautifully, but the first spell I did that I "concentrated" on to "do it right" didn't work as well and from the get go didn't feel completely right. I learned my lesson and I say to everyone else, do what feels right to you!

I loved this video. I've been in a position before I began learning about the Wiccan path where I let religion get in the way of my spirituality. I let all the rituals and specific ways to do things get in the way of the reason I was in the religion in the first place.
I've learned my lesson and now my spirituality comes first.
I agree with your distinction between religion and spirituality. People should develop self-awareness & private spiritual foundation before seeking a religious practice/ community. The questions you posed for those considering Wicca are also relevant for experienced practitioners of any religion. By re-examining ones goals, expectations & purpose in/of a particular path; its an opportunity to record ones spiritual evolution and a means by which to determine if a path isnt right for you.

I quite enjoy your videos, they've helped me to make a decision about my own spiritual path (to begin looking into Wicca). However I wonder why you so often say of yourself, "this girl's crazy" or alternately "I'm crazy."
While analyzing some dreams for a friend of mine along non-psychological means he said the same of himself. I corrected him as I would you, "you're not crazy, you are merely more open to examining and embracing the possibilities. And good for you, too!"
your videos make me feel warm inside and make me feel like i am so not alone. i have had my dobts in everything but you have helped me realize that i am only human. what brought me to wicca was not spellcraft exactly, but the freedom to use it and not have it on my concience as a "sin". you really display the wonderful side of wicca and living a normal life. i completely understand about your rituals and spells being your personal practice. not everyone needs to see it. i really respect that.

tools can be found by walking out your door and looking at what the natural world provides. Look in the ditch and you will find medicines/herbs. Take a walk in the part and find a fallen branch, stones, or feathers. Nature provides. It always has.

I absolutely agree with what you say about not needing tools and if they were taken away we should still be able to practice. I've been holding my circles outdoors to be more in touch with nature recently and not bringing my tools out with me.

From the point of your video, I realize that I have been interested in Wicca for quite some time now (perhaps over a year). And yes, I am a teenager. Often I have been truly confused and distressed over not having a religion. But something keeps turning me back to Paganism. I think it's because Wicca is more about the internal feelings to me than the rites and rituals. There is room to really feel close to something beyond reality. Keep making videos, you are an inspiration :-)

@TiffanyL101 hello :) When you do spells "on the fly" you really have to concentrate upon your intent! If you do not have your toold handy and have to :make do" then that adds to your intent,as well.I've had my tools not taken away,but have had to put them away, because I was accused of sacrificing small animals on my altar,by my oldest daughter,the police and Child Protective Services. i was crushed,and no,there is no worse feeling than having your spirituality stripped from you,or taken away.

I am at a point in my life , in that I have stopped worrying about which religion to follow, and started to just BE. Doing the things you mentioned, like walking through grass barefoot, or closing your eyes and listening to the trees can make you feel so peaceful. It's in those quiet moments you can feel the prescence of something..... wonderful and supernatural and ancient. It's in those moments you can truely be at peace with yourself. I second this! "Winging it" gives me more satisfaction and works for me more than trying to concentrate on doing it right. My very first spell was winged and worked beautifully, but the first spell I did that I "concentrated" on to "do it right" didn't work as well and from the get go didn't feel completely right. I learned my lesson and I say to everyone else, do what feels right to you!

I loved this video. I've been in a position before I began learning about the Wiccan path where I let religion get in the way of my spirituality. I let all the rituals and specific ways to do things get in the way of the reason I was in the religion in the first place.
I've learned my lesson and now my spirituality comes first.

I quite enjoy your videos, they've helped me to make a decision about my own spiritual path (to begin looking into Wicca). However I wonder why you so often say of yourself, "this girl's crazy" or alternately "I'm crazy."

tools can be found by walking out your door and looking at what the natural world provides. Look in the ditch and you will find medicines/herbs. Take a walk in the part and find a fallen branch, stones, or feathers. Nature provides. It always has.

HERE HERE!!!!!!!! wicca is not about the material things you have, but about what it does for you. tho.....the tools and other stuff does help with spells....tho you don't "nessissarily" need them. lol

I absolutely agree with what you say about not needing tools and if they were taken away we should still be able to practice. I've been holding my circles outdoors to be more in touch with nature recently and not bringing my tools out with me.
And you description of worshipping the earth outdoors like, in your garden, by the ocean, was beautiful =]
