boy that lady friend of theirs had such extremely long fingers. I can't get over it whenever I see her talking. I've never ever seen such long fingers in my life.
Keith Green was a prophet to the church and an evangelist to the lost, oh yeah, he was a songwriter and a musician also. But, he was mostly a called and chosen man of God. When have you heard such authenticity in today's "Christian" music?
My favorite song! I have sang along with him to the Lord with tears streaming so many times, as I was growing in the Lord. I will never forget the day I was radically changed and my eyes were opened by the Lord. The trees were brilliantly colored green. Life was worth living. Keith Green's music to the Lord is such a big part of me growing up into the Lord. Thank you Lord!!
I have never heard about anyone with a heart for ministry the way he and Melody did. I grew up with his music and it's some of the only music that makes me feel like I'm missing the point....it makes me want to return to my roots and live the way Jesus told us to.
4:36 to 4:50 tells it like it is. When God closes a door, no one can open it and when God opens a door, no one can close it. Paul said it best in Ephesians 3, verses 20 and 21.
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. [KJV]
Wow, one of my favorite singer "Matthew Ward" on the right at 2:21. What great music talents the 70s for Christians then, so pure and inspiring. Keith is the man backed up by 2nd Chapter of Acts.
Keith's passion was part of his temperament. We should never confuse temperament with 'anointing' or dedication. You can see flashes a wreckless tendency in him occur in his biography and it had tragic consequences. There are millions of persons as dedicated as Keith, but they are not famous. Many such persons cannot fit into a church, sad to say.
You missed the point big time. Ever play the game;hot or cold. He was so anointed it's not even funny. His beginning is nothing like the end of his life serving Christ Jesus. He went out with a bang. And it is not sad to say that he couldn't be a stuffed shirt in a pew in a church getting fat, never excersizing his faith. Get out of the pews and into the streets.
Very true! So many of us are the more frequently known "stuffed shirts" that need to do just that: Get our butts off the pews and do what Jesus told us to do!!! LOL
Your comment is thought provoking, I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean in the first 3 sentences you wrote pls can you expand on that... Thanks...
Modern Christian music is so much about making people feel all tingly good. Keith challenged you, man. He made you think. He didn't want you to feel warm and bubbly all the time. And he wasn't about money either, he gave mostly free concerts and gave away records and books. I knew people in college that got free records at his concerts. He was totally the opposite of most modern day 'televangelists' with their 'singing ministries'
What a ministry. The mega churches of today need to see this video. Restores my faith in the fact that threre are some people who really do hear the voice of the Lord and are not afraid to open their wallets to the less fortunate.
"So you wanna go back to Egypt ..." such a great album ... I still have the liner notes from that album ... Dallas Taylor, Bob Dylan and a host of others played on that one.
see, that is where me and Kieth differed, and he wrote me and told me so. He was kind, but stern. I told him we christians needed good music in our lives, but I think he missed the point. I don't think he realized the impact of the words in his music, could draw so many. But with out the music, it was just a sermon. I am glad I got to meet them both."Old Shack Recording"..Late 1976 or early 1977.
ok, well it only gets about a couple minutes into it then it just ends black screen w/ share options and all...this happens on some other clips w/ youtube...do u know if i can fix that somehow?

I don't know whether I could ever love the Lord as much as this young man did. I will be thankful for his influence as long as I live.

Even though one of his song said he did not want a crown, I am sure he is sitting in heaven with a big crown on his head.
