  • Well, this wouldn't be the same if a German found "Du Hast" (the only media from Deutschland that I've heard of) in English, because it's awesome even without understanding the words.

Stuff like this annoys me, but I'm not gonna say how pissed I am.

What really pisses me off is when international people don't use their native phrases (like "let's play")

And another thing is movies today don't respect the source material and a big robot chasing you is more universal than a good story.

  • 0:01 "Dr. Niggers"

  • oh ja lol

  • @swordfish Your mother

  • @jamesbhorne

    Who cares about your opinion?

  • I wish american grade schools would teach a foriegn language. If I was a teacher, my class would have learned at least 100-200 words of spanish by the end of the year. Not much but something to possibly spark interest.

  • Don't mention the War!

  • whats the name of the movie?

  • This video is lousy with Germans.

  • @jamesbhorne

    Who cares about your opinion?

  • looks like someone missed 20th century earth history class at starfleet academy

  • I am a Jew and I don't see Germany as an evil country... All the Nazis are burning in hell and Germany remains a beautiful country I hope to visit some day.

  • The original plot for Star Trek V had the Enterprise gang going back even further in time to prevent the Germans from winning WWII... True story.

  • @km9OOO Would have made a better Star Trek V than what we got...

  • I think my universal translator is broken...

  • Why are all four videos about Scotty and the computer in a foreign language?

  • Today you can talk to computers at last.

  • Doc Brown hat eh schon alles gesehen

    nach seiner Verjüngungskur wohlgemerkt

wer das nicht versteht, hat eine Bildungslücke

  • @kallemick this is the problem with english speaking ppl, they think, everybody has to speak english. i got news for you, there are more languages on this planet. go,learn a foreign language and dont tell ppl what they have to upload or not. its arrogant to say that everybody has to do their things in english because you are not able to speak another language. sincerely.

  • @bernisweltredsun i understand what you mean but i know theres other languages than english but since this is an american movie it should PROBLABLY be uploaded in its original language since i KNOW nobody wants to watch the german version but the germans also its REALLY not a good idea to give the video an english name if its in german

  • @kallemick

    1) " i KNOW nobody wants to watch the german version" -> I'm German and I want to watch it in german... I don't care who you know...

    2) "also its REALLY not a good idea to give the video an english name if its in german" -> The video HAS a german name... "Computer = Computer" and "Star Trek IV" = "Star Trek IV"

There's a lot of german stuff on youtube - sometimes the titles are the same and it's a little frustrating that EVERYTIME some americans are complaining about it. :(

  • @H3rrJ3h yes and i explained why they complain besides they should atleast write that its the german version if they have too and it still dosent make sense to upload english language movies in german when german wasnt the original language the germans simply needs to accept that theres other languages than german in the world

  • @kallemick I assume that you're like 99% of your fellow citizens and don't bother to watch a movie in a foreign language. Suprise suprise... they really exist - places outside the usa and the people there are like you americans... they don't want to watch a movie in a foreign language like english! So it makes perfect sense that there IS a german dub... youtube is all about sharing and we do our part to enrich it for millions of german youtube visitors!

  • @H3rrJ3h im not american but i prefer the english language over any other and besides why should i watch star trek IV on german when its english and the english voices are much better? and honestly i dont care how many people speaks german this is still an american movie and should be watched in its original language which the germans should just learn to live with

  • @bernisweltredsun Maybe that is because english is a lingua franca now?

  • FAIL. this scene is meant to work only in English

  • How do you say Nuclear Wessels in German?

  • @PassiveSmoking Atom-U-Boote,

    pronounce: Ahtaum-Uh-Boughta

  • Aber Scotty hat einen großartigen deutschen Akzent!

  • Funny thing is, Scotty would react exactly the same to an Computer from 2011. They may be several thousand times faster than this Macintosh, but the basic configuration (Screen, Keyboard, Mouse) is still the same. :D

  • Star Trek IV, this has alot of humor in it. Perhaps from Back To The Future and those antics of time travel. Where are the nuclear wessels? I need to find the nuclear wessels? Similar mission, save the Earth... That movie does pose a problem we face now, we are causing animals to go extinct... We are more obsessed with war and greed than anything. Rather than our survival into the future.

Also like the beginning of the movie, dedicated to those that died on Challenger.

  • I've always liked this movie and this scene is right up there with some of the greatest self parodies.

  • german, french, spanish, italian, dutch, occitan, georgian, english, all just minor variations of ancient latin.it doesnt take much thought to pick out at least 4 or 5 words of each sentence, even if your a lazy american who cant see past his own nose!

  • @irishbreakfast are you sure latin was so widely spread before the roman spread to what is now the british isles? After all, language families are, to my knowledge, Separated as such: Love/Latin based- spanish, italian, french; Germanic- english, german, dutch, "georgian"; and others. These categories are logical in placement as a student of the latin-based languages would find many similarities and ease in learning other languages in the category.

  • @Mchand007 yes.etruscian came earlier.most of our language still has variations of those ancient words, along with latin, greek, and so forth.if you go back far enough, which is almost impossible to do,youll hit on the one language everyone spoke and understood long before separate languages evolved.theyre all contorted derivitaves of the most ancient language, which has yet to be discovered, that was once the ONLY language.

    The magical command to create a 3D-Animation-Software out of nothing was F6 F6 F5 F7 F9

  • Yeah he has no scottish accent in german but he still has a great german voice :)

  • 1:18 - 1:30 Wow, It took me 20 minutes to do a Spreadsheet!

  • German! In Star Trek future, Germans are used for food.

  • @Reclaimer77 What a lazy bugger you are lol. Astounding, i thought i was lazy but you beat me by a mile ha ha

  • @intermender

Lazy because I can't speak German? Yeeeah that's logical.

  • @Reclaimer77 lol, now you try to excuse your laziness by trying to twist the meaning of my comment in your favour. ha ha classic. Of course thats not what i meant and you know it. why don't you upload your own video or complain to google? Because your two busy sitting on your fat ass and think you have the right to 'reclaim' for yourself what is in fact publically free to anyone. So don't try it on. Like i said i know you becuase you remind me of me :D. You are indolent sir.

  • @Reclaimer77 ignorant.

  • @Reclaimer77 Well thank you for you cultural imperialistic attitude - but this planet doesn't need it, nor your "culture".

  • A Mac in Star Trek, the argument is over, Mac is the best!!!

  • Hallo?

    Computer?

Primitive tecnology, but from that came computers wich are used in ex. Pentagon or NASA and later on space-ships(well, no electricity-cables will be used of course, only fiberoptics).

  • "Almost" in lipsync :D somehow reminds me of TV commercials, because they are the only things dubbed in here...

  • bin so rückständig bin tod!!!!

  • Hallo Computer! XD

  • McCoy to Nichols: "You would be rich beyond the dreams of avarice!" 1:53

This line is taken from Chapter 1 of the H.G. Wells 1901 novel, "The First Men In The Moon", when Bedford is speaking to Cavor about the invention of cavorite, and its financial implications..

  • They should have made Scotty an Austrian in this version. Now THAT is a funny accent.

  • Soooooo primitive.

  • 00: it's a mac.

  • This office looks exactly, EXACTLY, like my basement.

  • Was there an alt+f4 in there?

  • I think u should say that's in german...

    waste of time for me...

  • man scotty's gain a muschate and some weight...... god that makes a difference

  • Dubbed movies suck cock

  • @TheJunglesound I agree..sounds like shit

  • I was definitely not expecting this to be in german. a lovely surprise.

  • The reason they are talking in GERMAN is this is from the Alternate ST Universe; you know MIRROR MIRROR!

  • @rangeclerk Oooooo The Evil Star Trek guys!

  • @rangeclerk Oh yeah! the nazi universe!!!

  • Any American that calls Germans evil need only look at the history of America to see that we are no better. Slavery. Ethnic cleansing. Medical experiments on and euthanasia of the mentally disabled. All are a part of American history.

  • Their evil because I expected to see this clip in english. They tricked me, thus they are evil.

  • Every country has done some things that they aren't proud of but Germany slaughtered millions upon millions of children, adults and elderly.

  • And the murder of millions of American Indians and Black Americans is any less evil how?

  • Often the people who condemn Germany are oft falling under the NEO-CONS who are Nazi-ish in the extreme. Judge not lest ye be judged.

Be proud of your heritage. THere is much more to Germany than that agent of the bankers foisted upon your nation.

  • @Jassimini14 I've missed out on the conversation, how the hell did THIS clip turn into a debate over the merits / faults of the German people?

  • Somehow, the Scottish accent doesn't make it through in German.

  • @guitardbucket many things don't make it trough german, sadly Q_Q

  • @guitardbucket At least in the German version, Captain Picard has a French accent.

  • @JustPhilNY

    whut???

  • @Ursenfuns In the German dub, Picard actually has (at least what the Germans consider) a French accent.

  • @JustPhilNY

I'm from germany. We fore sure must talk about different Star Treks and different Picards.

  • @JustPhilNY ??? I used to watch the german-dubbed version quite a lot and I never ever noticed a french accent.

  • @guitardbucket

no it doesn´t. but the translation is in comparism good....

  • this computer is a Mac Plus. I have one so I know.

  • educate yourself, its german...

  • I love how he spams number keys and mostly letter keys, never even touching the arrow keys or the "enter/return" button.

  • everything sounds better in German

  • By far not. xD; I should know.

  • transparentes aluminium so geil XD

  • do the voice actos take into account scotty's scottishness and chekov's russianness?

  • chekov yes. but not the scottish. sadly

  • I do not believe there IS something such as a scottish accent in the German language. O.o

  • But there would be one, if a Scot tries to speak German. But it's hard to dub this. For Germans the Scottish accent and the Russian accent sound quite similar to each other, although there's definitely a big difference between them, so letting Scotty sound like a Scot in the German dub would make him kinda Russian imao.

  • Well, I never heard one try'n'speak German, so, yeah... I wouldn't be able to confirm that. xD;

Hey, cool, noch wer aus Dresden. : D

  • Mensch, sags doch gleich. :D

  • Wollt den interessierten, der englischen Sprache mächtigen Mitleser nicht gleich verwirren. xD;

  • ENGLISH MFER DO YOU SPEAK IT?!?!

  • LOL, they traveled to an evil parallel universe in which the Germans won WW2 :)

  • Cool, interesting to know. I bet those voice actors were happy when Star Trek got popular in the late 70s! :)

  • I wonder if they kept the same voice-over for the Star Trek characters that they used back in the 60s?

  • Yes, they kept the same speakers. At least most of them.

  • Actually, it's a Mac Plus.

  • A Macintosh Classic II, wow.

  • helo computa?!

  • They speak German there ? Might be it is alternative past they traveled from 23d century...

  • This is what happens when you mess with the timeline.

Insider wissen was ist.

  • Tastatur, wie rückständig...

  • Seer god !!!

  • Ich Liebe Es!!!!

    I Love It!!!!

  • Here are just SOME German innovations: the Automobile, Aspirin, the Airbag, the modern Computer, Nuclear Fission, the 3D Mars Camera, the MP3 Format, Television, the Helicopter, the Pill, Theory of Relativity, Toothpaste, the Jet Engine, the Glider, the Record Player, Beer(!), the Scanner, Gummi Bear sweets (!), X-ray technology, the Chipcard, Bacteriology, Ecoflex Plastic - and the list goes on! Yes "Maxwell2323", Germans made "some" contributions to not only the "West", but the ENTIRE WORLD!

  • that is some awesome computer =)

  • dude this video is basic deusch (German in German)it is easy to understand if you know it

I took it in high school.

  • i come from a place surrounded by mennonite communities. all of my friends are german. 3 of them actually come from germany and are just learning to speak english. i am half-german, and i always hang with the huttarites. i've heard so much german in my life i think if i hear it again ill cry.

    i still dont understand it.

  • Scotty with a German accent just isn't Scotty.. they'd have to rename him Germany

..ok yea that was bad :P

  • He had a real good german voice! You didn't watched all ST in german....

  • Haven't they actually invented Transparent Aluminium? Aluminum oxynitride I think it's called.

  • And now we know where it came from! :D

  • Hahahah, it's fun to listen to the voices of the people they dubbed. The guy dubbing for McCoy makes him sound soooo different. =D I don't know German, but I can't stop watching it for some reason.

  • Lass mich deine scheide lecken-let me lick your p***y,lol.

  • I loved this in German! I've seen this movie so many times that I have it memorized almost word-for-word. This would be a GREAT way to learn a new language!

  • Ja, ich liebe diese Szene auch.

  • Hahahaha... I was just DYING when McCoy handed him the mouse and he thought you had to talk in it... Scotty, it's not the 23rd century, get used to it!

  • When I saw this scene, I laughed so hard when he liffted the mouse to his mouth and said, "HELLO COMPUTER."

  • Why the hell should people conform to your moronic US-centrism?

  • AND why does this comment not show up where I wanted it to be? *deaddesk*

  • Yep, actually. When is your appointment at the hopsital for your brain transplant?

  • "Maxwell2323", it's arrogant, ignorant American assholes like you that give your country its terrible reputation - you're an utter, ill-informed, little wanker.

  • "Maxwell2323", Germans can build cars - Audi, Porche, Mercedes, BMW etc - American cars are SHIT! Germany had the 1st jet fighters (in 1944), the US had NO jet technology! If it wasn't for the German V2 Rocket engineers the US abducted in 1945 to take back to the US, you wouldn't have a NASA or Space Program! ALL your 1st jet fighters were based on German jets (the ME 262 etc) that were taken to the US in 1945! So, without superior German technology, your stupid country would be nowhere! WANKER!

  • I don't give a fuck what degree you have - you're still an American ass! But nothing to say re shit American cars, or the fact that it was German scientists who started the US space program? Oh, and the Meteor was a piece of shit, the F86 Sabre (and Mig 15) is based on the ME 262, you fuckface twat! Oh, and AMERICA is the most despised nation in the civilized world, and tell you Yahoo brothers in the South to wash! As for most "hated" in Europe, the arrogant French have that "honour".

  • I thought it was just the Brits that hated the French? I know i do but not even sure why lol Their tendency to surrender very easily prob does it for me. Especially ww1 when their army was massive. ANd Germany didnt really start both wars. WW1 wasn't really them.

  • "jimmyforce", no, the Brits aren't the only ones who hate the arrogant & rude French! ;-) And, despite the childish & simplistic rantings of "Maxwell2323" (who's supposed to be "educated"), Germany did not "start" WW1 & WW2, there were many contributing factors, and many nations "stirred the pot", and had a "hand" in fanning the fire - including England & the US - it's like someone "wanted" Hitler (the idiot) to "push the button" - it played right into allot of "political hands" at the time.

  • @saguyinsydney There was that great line in the movie "The Right Stuff", when the Russians launched Sputnik: "Their Germans beat our Germans."

  • "Maxwell2323", you're not worth any more of my time, your conceited arrogance, and narrow minded, clichéd view of your country, and the world, is amusing (and sad) though. Impressive degree though, but astounding how you just refuse to see or acknowledge German technological advancement & contribution - funny how you needed our scientists to build rockets for you, and how you copied our jet aircraft. Then again, you had the P51 Mustang - beautiful plane, for its era.

  • The American F86 Sabre incorporated the 35 degree swept-back wing, with automatic slats of the German Me 262 airfoil, and Me 262 HG II wing sweep - yes, you "great" Americans simply ripped-off superior German aeronautic engineering - read YOUR text and history books - DIPSHIT! Oh, and funny how I can speak perfect English, yet the average American can't even master decent English - what a laugh! Oh, how's your never ending fuck up of a war in Iraq going?! "Great" Americans! ;-)

  • Man, you have some serious issues to deal with. Serious. Must have been the comment about not washing.

I never said german engineers were not good and yes, 'some' of the technology we have in the 'west' came from the Krauts (just like you stole radar from England). But, the master race you are not. All you have mastered in English is profanity. One last thing moron - I'm English. Amazing how easy it is to play with you. American's don't know the word Wanker. Guess your English needs work. Nazi.

  • Stop saying England when you mean Britain. Makes you's seem so ignorant. Radar came from a Scot just to show you how stupid it sounds saying England all the time.

  • And i see you say your English. That explains it. You prob think England and USA won the war forgetting about all the British and commonwealth soldiers and other allies.

  • Star Trek rules lol :)

  • "Maxwell2323", I noticed the "wanker" word, & wondered how you could be so "educated", being an American ass ("arse"), so deduced you'd been to the UK! Well, well, so you're just another little Limey that has issues with Germany - just can't get that chip off your shoulder - who's "immature" now? As for "Arians" - the biggest racists I came across were in England - you assholes hate everybody Pakkies, Scots, Irish, Eastern Europeans, French, Italian, German etc - everybody!
