Best GH storyline ever. It had everything that makes for good story. And it's a damn shame what they've done to Mac, turning him into some kind of one-dimensional Worry Wort Ward Cleaver. John J York has been wasted ever since they paired him with Fleabag Felicia.
Funny how often Mac and Sonny are on opposite sides of the law...and yet, the one thing they have in common is Robin. I wish the writers would play that up more often...hell, I wish the writers would remember Sonny and Robin are supposed to be good friends...
This was such a great story line, I remember watching it back in '95 the writers had sooooo much talent, kinda' suprised the writers now even followed thru with it and didn't "forget" that Robin is HIV +, Most of then now just like to change history and write what ever crap they come up with.
I've been watching some old Gh and i realized just how good GH used to be, the quality really ended in 99. I stopped watching then when Kimberly left and they tore up her relationships with Jason and Sonny, the only two people she counted on the most, now they show it once in awhile and it isn't the same. I can't watch too much anymore, so sad..
robin was like Sonny's little sister and I am SOOO glad that they have been writing scenes for these two as it should have always been. Sonny promised stone he would always look out for Robin.. It is a great friendship
Robin and Sonny became very close, they became more like bro and sis. Sonny said once that robin's love was the last thing Stone gave him and he would honor that..
i wish they'd do more robin, and sonny scenes, today you wouldn't even know that they even know eachother much less that they had such a deep history together.
I love how Mac and Sonny put their differences aside and were actually able to have a real conversation. GH is awful now. Sonny and Robin hardly talk, Jason and Robin hardly talk, Mac is almost never on, there are no real friendship, everything revolves around the mob. Where is the GH of old? When it was good.
I was just going to comment on this. Who would've thought Sonny would freely allow Mac into his house. Those who didn't watch this storyline would never believe that could happen.

Well said Avsfan73. Also remember that Carly was playing the AJ card. She was taunting with Jason. She wanted Jason for herself and Michael. She wanted Robin out of the picture herself. Bobbie was also a part of it too. They made Jason feel guilty. Writers really screwed this storyline up. Remember Jason decided to move in with Carly and Michael, but did not want to break-up with Robin. Yeah, right, like that was gonna work.
There has never been a better storyline than this one. I love Robin and have been a fan of her from the beginning but man she blew me away with this storyline.

Robin basically made her bed with that. Eventually she told AJ that he was the biological father of Michael, which before everyone believed that he was Jason's son. She thought he had a right to know. The broke up her and Jason and Sonny told her although he still loved her what she did was wrong and he didn't know how to feel about what she did. Soon she moved to France for several years.

Maurice is absolutely amazing. This scene makes me cry everytime this WHOLE storyline broke my heart but the acting was amazing. I LOVE Robin/Sonny!
