This is what Terminator 4 should have been. The birth of the resistance, like Kyle says. The machines rounding up humans into death camps. Johh Conner leading the uprising and rebellion. The early stages of the war against the machines.

That way they could have made Terminator 5 more about the war as its progressing and then a climax in part 6.

Salvation wasnt great, I think people wanted the whole war thing straight away. But I always saw it s building upto that. They shud do the war and show where Connor leads the Resistance having catched and reprogrammed some particular Terminator models to fight for them, so we cud hav maybe Vin Diesel playing a Terminator model facing off against Arnie's model, and really make it one big epic war film.

I personally thought Terminator Salvation was alot better than Terminator 3 and that had Schwarzenegger in it. If you've watch the first two films a few times than you can see how much Salvation actually connected to those films. and I think the filmakers idea to introduce newer different Terminators that werent previously mentioned was a way to use the "Time Travel Paradox" formula, which goes back to the original film.

not a bad video at all. but T4 was not that bad. i think they did an OK job, when you think about it, it takes place in a new time line from T1 and T2, plus it 2018 a time before the T800 and the end of the war 2029. where all the machines are this shiny chome look, so to me it made sence that in 2018 for them to be different then everything we were shown in T1&2. but i too have my issues with it, like creating the T800 so soon, or how does skynet know about johns father? but still fun to watch

I would like to say, that I agree. In the last installment of Terminator 4 Salvation, it would have been better if they really showed exactly what Kyle Reese from the first film described. But instead McG just kind of killed it or he just did not think it would have mean any sense. If he is going to do another film, McG should stick to the story or he will kill the Terminator franchise forever.

Salvation has one massive plot flaw... Skynet knows who Kyle Reese is. This is just stupid. Skynet only knows who Sarah is and thats why she had to be killed in 1984. Personal matters aside, I think Arnie would be out of place in the new terminator. He has no trouble getting back in the acting game with Expendables 2. I think though the franchise should be more about the story of the apocalypse than that of Arnie trying to be in as many of them as possible.

Cameron actually researched the ghettos and slums in Poland during WWII and applied the same feel to this film. A stroke of genius if you ask me.

If you think about it a lot of the movies coming out nowadays are trying to add a level of realism to them. They want the movie to be believable like it could actually happen. What I think they were trying to do is give it a more realistic feel and set it up so that when they make the next one and the next one they can add more and more items from the original take on the wars. I agree with you though I would have liked to have seen some terminations as well instead of a few chase scenes.

Don't agree with Terminator Salvation being appalling at all! It is setting up the rest of the movies and provides the link from the nuclear war to what you are showing here. In Terminator Salvation the humans still have a large fighting force as the war is in its infancy and in the balance but I imagine the next films they will be worn down and don't have the capability to produce or maintain what they have as they get overrun so revert to guerrilla tactics that you see here.
