  • Nice hear of someone still enjoying 4x5. I miss large format. Shoot some for me.

  • Thanks DrNoSpoon

  • Amazing photo! that train looked tiny compared to the sheer scale of the mine!

  • Thanks Alex1M6

That was an amazingly interesting day. I am so glad I took the time and trouble to find that road up the backside of the mountain. That shoot put me right back there again.

  • Rick,

I couldn't get over that train. I looked and looked at the first enlargement, but was unable to spot it. Man, that's a big, big place.

That was cool. Thanks for showing it.

    Regards,

    John

  • Thanks joernone

    Thanks John,

This was a very interesting day. Even in HD, it is very hard to find the train, this place is big! Sometimes ideas don't work out but this one did, got there at the right time of the day for the light. Something I did not mention in the vid is, it was obvious that the place I took the picture from, was a party place. Beer cans everywhere.

    Regards

    Rick

  • Thanks raddios2

  • Thanks lostcowhand

Hope you had time to travel around! Years later I was at Moab for nine months. Beside my cameras I brought my 8 inch celestron telescope. That was really amazing.

  • @AllAmericanFiveRadio

Unfortunately, all I got to see was the inside of a bunch of bunkers. That seemed to happen anytime we went on those short training exercises. But, like I said, the surrounding country was awful pretty.

  • Thats one huge hole in the ground, check it out with google earth :)

  • Thanks maahal

    Yes, it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!

  • did you bring back insects in a doggie bag? (giggle)
