Lovely film, well done. Is the shot at 8;50 on Whiteball? I filmed her frpm there on the Cathedrals. Amazing how far the sun came round when you filmed compared to later in September when it was straight into cam. Once more great video as always. 5*
What more can I say Ryan, after these glowing comments below, your work is always a joy to watch, because of your great skills as a cameraman, and filming on your home patch ensures that every location produces footage that is a sheer joy to watch..keep up the great work...5* Bob
Hehehe thank you very much Bob, its been great fun filming Tornado doing her runs. I couldnt resist going to my favourite spots, along the sea wall and coastal areas. The weather hasn't been the most helpfull but that didn't bother me. Cheers once again.
A truly remarkable sequence of clips Ryan, each one a joy to watch. It doesn't look like the Torbay season with all but one shot filmed in gloomy conditions. Tornado looks to be performing well but as yet i haven't seen any of these trains. I do hope to be out for it's trip to Plymouth on Saturday though. Well done again and a worthy 5*
Cheers Martyn! She's running really well, I can't wait to see her tackle the Devon banks! I have bets there will be alot out to see her conquer the summits. But all aswell hope the weather improves.
Gorgeous anticipation, panning and then allowing the train to exit the shot. I'm sure Ivo would have approved.

Stunning video, Tornado has got to be the best loco running on the mainline.

She's running really well so far for a modern loco. Its been a joy to film her on the mainline.

Very nice. Like the driver hanging on the whistle thru Dawlish.
What are those triangular signs by the tunnel at Dawlish (5:30), with the leaves on them?
AndreiTupolev 2 years ago
Cheers! I think they mean that rails arnt going to be slippery with leaves, as wet leaves make the rails greasey making locos slip.

Cheers James, its all going well so far! I'm sure there will be more to come :)

I know this is late Ryan, but the shot at Kennaway Tunnel - was this taken from the car park of the Marine Tavern pub?
NwsNoaaChaser 1 year ago
Yes it was taken there, its pretty easy to notice although the iron fencing is pretty high so it would be challenging.
