@MarvelXxClanXxpage to this a winner on a tweener, most of the time, against someone good, is impossible. you can tell when it's coming so you're ready for it. to hit it hard, you got to have talent. i admit, i've hit a tweener once in a match, and i've tried it maybe 15 times in matches. and it wasn't a winner but it was so damn cool
@ajolson47 it's my grandpa special and i would use it to beat you 6-0, but you have to use a wood racquet because you think my racquet is old... wait you don't use a wood racquet, why not? you obviously don't want to use technology. wait, you walk to work or drive a car :D oh wait, how are you on a computer. use technology when you play, it makes life easier
everytime you hit that ball i'm just half expecting that you'll nut yourself and that this isn't just an instructional video, but one of those hilarious clips
nice instruction video, dude! I always thought u have to be tall enough to try this shot, now I know that it's all about the timing, thx so much, bro!
I'll definitely gonna try this out during the weekend
@TheAzt3ca i like practicing in high tops because it takes pressure off my ankle and are heavier than normal so when i switch to my tennis shoes... i fly
@bigtexvy actually it's my grandpa's racquet, get it right buddy...but I'll play you with it...and after I beat you, you have to wear my grandma's knickers...:P
@MekialK I think if you time it well, you don't need to actually jump, but it looks cool to jump and nail it...remember keep the wrist as the hinge but lock the hinge so you don't slam the door on the family jewels
By the way it helps if you step out with one foot just a little bit so your sort of at an angle. it helps to place the shot, one side will be easier than the other.
because it's cool... nah, actually sometimes you can't get next to the ball, but you can get it in front of you. this shot does have application but if you screw it up...ouch
kay I'll bite. what city are you in? what's your name? i want to google you. my boys from Michigan--Kalamazoo or Lansing, might know you. 14's hmm you got video...
dumb ass. there are like 40 sections of top 100 midwest tennis players. you're prolly in like the 12 year old group. and i live in kansas playing 56th in midwest 15 year old division. I COULD KICK YOUR ASS...
wow u suck at it, its not that hard ive been able to hit it since i was 8, ur contact point is way off, the trick is to run over the ball and hit it when its behind u that way u can hit the ball harder and higher
AHHHAHAH you hit this shot when you were 8...how tall were you when you were 8? the racquet was bigger than you at 8. 8 years old or 8 decades? hit the ball higher? HOW TALL ARE YOU? you mean you hit the ball higher between your legs? OH WAIT, you're a girl...kay that explains all of it...
Wow, he makes it look so easy. I was unable to play tennis for a week after watching this vid because of rain and I finally got to play. IMO the shot is not that hard, but the timing is insane. The first thing is predicting where the ball is going to land, especially on topspin lobs, is tricky for me. Almost always, the ball ends up hitting me in the back or back of the head or shoulder. The second hard part for me is hitting it exactly 5 in off the ground. Any tips?
I don't think this shot is that hard to hit, but the timing is super hard. The two things I have trouble with is predicting where the ball is going ( most of the time when I attempt this shot, the lob ends up hitting me in the back of the head). And two, hitting the ball 5 inches of the ground when the ball is going at least 9.8 meters per second. Any tips or tricks for this or can I only master these things through continuous practice?
some guys get this down and can do it over and over...BUT I have short legs...asian syndrome. it does have an application , but it's better to get in front of the ball and rip it. BUT it's so cool when you pull it off. practice my friend, and get a cup :D AHAHAH
and this stat is from where? girls 10's? because the last time I checked, it's so obvious someone is going to hit this shot, and the pros see it coming.
Hmmm So I notice that its VERY risky as from the side view when you're showing the contact point that the ball is only like 3-4 inches off the ground... Now how do you approach a lob shot for a tweener? Should you quickly pass over it when its nearing its third bounce or what? And also, if the ball ends up being lobbed to your backhand what should you do?
you jump at the last second to get over the ball--it's when the ball will be about 4 inches off the ground is ideal. and jump... if you can get in front of it, get in front of it. and hit a normal shot
Fun shot for show but not practical. I actually don't like this shot when pros hit it because they end up 99% lose the next shot. But as recreational player, it's fun. Thanks
it does have one application, the low ball in front of you that is about 4 inches off the ground...BUT I hate when guys slow down to try to hit this... and yes, they almost always lose the point.

just post your own video if you think you could do it better and stop being a stuck-up bitch..
