  • hey, i have a new r6s!

can you tell me how should i adjust my front and back?

    I'm 6,3

    thanks for your time!

  • @tristesote1 what type of riding are you doing? Commuting, weekend twisties, track?

  • @SportbikeWrench commuting at my university, so is pretty much slow commuting, also, thanks for the quick response

  • @tristesote1 you'll need the shock preload all the way to max and close the rebound screw, and the fork preload at max with low speed compression at 4 clicks out,

Your big problem will be weight transfer forwards and backwards (brake/acceleration) so don't hit the brakes too hard.

  • @SportbikeWrench thanks for the help

  • I'm purchasing a 2008 soon that was originally female ridden, therefor has been adjusted for her height and weight. I know nothing about adjust the suspension as this is only my second bike, i was hoping you can help. If anything, just getting it back to stock would be nice.

    I am 6' and about 185 pounds.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • @xxsekoxx please email me via dave(at)crstuning(dot)com for the settings information. Please include if the bike has been lowered at all.

  • Great stuff here! learnt alot

  • Great vid!

  • Dave, I must say thanks for the fast response. I really appreciate the info. I am serving my country overseas and will be transfering to Boise, ID in May. I am looking forward to coming home and trying these setting out. Also, are you located in Salt Lake City, UT? If so, I'd really like to attend your suspension classes. You have really inspired me to become a suspension pro. Who knows, I may be a Jedi Master like you some day. Thanks again for all you do for the MC community.

  • Come home safe and thanks for your service! OTT was out of Salt Lake but is now in CA. If you want to fly in for a school we have bikes you can rent from local companies for the day, delivered to the track for you. I may go to Miller to do a school with Apex Track days this year, but that needs to be worked out.

Keep watching as 2 Clicks Out will be double the production of last Fall. Hope that keeps you entertained :)

Be well and safe, and spread the word.

  • I love your vids and I must have watched them all at least twice. I have an 07 R6 with stock suspension and ride street only. I am 180-195 and would like some recommendations on what settings I should use. I keep coming back to your channel in hopes that you do a review on an 07 R6 but no lucj as of yet. I rate all your vids 5 and enjoy everyone you do.

  • Thanks for the feedback! Forks - change the oil to 10w to manual specified amount - set rebound at 10 clicks out - set low speed compression to 8 clicks out Shock - set preload to second to lowest spot - set low speed compression to 12 clicks out - set high speed compression to 14 clicks out - set rebound to 14 clicks out Forks and shock serviced every 5k if possible Dave Moss Host
