  • Great work ^^. One quick note, though: Nevertiti actually had catacact at her left eye, as her bust most vividly shows. It's weird to see her with both irises. ^^

  • Oh beautiful!!!!!!

  • personal opinion?

looking at CGI reconstruction, Egyptians clearly had both Black and Caucasian features.

they were an entirely different race of their own - bit like jews.

stop with the racism. there's no need for it!

  • Why dose it seem she is more pretty than cleopatra like

    100X more

  • these tombs are to cold, return as you were when you lived 3x nefertiti

  • 0:01 Beautiful - 0:20 Different - 1:20 Uglier! For the love of God, Nefertiti doesn't need more make up!

  • I don't get why every one thinks that Cleopatra was a beautty.

  • Looks like Halle Berry

  • she needs no reconstruction... her features are clear without that

  • The first time ever I saw your face

I thought the Sun rose in your eyes

and the moon and stars were the gifts you gave

to the dark and the empty skies

  • beautiful job on this one has well.

  • well she was definately skinny

  • who said ancient agyptians were black? u kidding me right! don't try tu make yourself happy . blacks have no history . everyone can tel a black persons facial features .monkey look alike. maybe your mistaken because of her dark skin . agyptians do have a dark skin, fair skin and white but nowhere near black skin . also her nose is prefect not like a black persons nose at all on that time there was no nose jobs or anything .

  • @gorgesgirl1812 Egypt was a multiethnic empire, there were multiple races living there. Originally it was founded by blacks. There have been multiple dynasties of Egyptian pharohs both black and caucasian and some that appear mixed. Not all Africans look the same, she could just as easily pass for an east African. Remember, the people who live in Egypt currently didn't get there until the middle ages when Islam began to spread. Also we do have history, we have had multiple empires thru history.

  • @gorgesgirl1812 Omg... you really believe that? Lmfao

  • @gorgesgirl1812 spewing your racist idealogy about blacks being "monkeys" or having no history has been debunked numerous times.

  • Nat Geo and Discovery should let you do the facial Reconstruction lol. Yours are far more realistic, and I love the fact that you do not change anything! ^ ^

  • Constance....what you dont understand is sub saharan african.......this is black, look it up online. There is a clear difference between north africans and sub saharan africans.....is qaddaffi black, is head of egyptian antiquities zahi hawass black.....no they are not . Look at the bust of nefertiti that was an exact likeness of her and tell me she was black........please.....the egyptians were arabic and still are. Please black people stop reaching for some culture by stealing egyptian history

  • @scstxr

I DISAGREE AND BLACKS ARE NOT REACHING FOR CULTURE WE HAVE AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE AND ITS NOT THAT I,M SAYING WERE ALL THE SAME I,M SAYING WE PEOPLE OF AFRICAN DESCANT ARE DIVERSE AND WE SHOULD NOT DENY THAT WERE AFRICAN... EGYPTIANS ARE AFRICAN BECAUSE THEY LIVE IN EGYPT IT IS IN AFRICA ... SO I DO NOT GET THE WHOLE THEIR NOT AFRICAN PEOPLE. ARABIC CULTURE HAS BEEN ALWAYS A PART AFRICAN CULTURE ... WEST AFRICAN NORTH EAST SOUTH MAY DIFFER CULTURE TO CULTURE BUT WE R AFRICAN

  • @scstxr Why do you have to generalize and lump all people of African descent as trying to "steal" a culture or history. That's a very ignorant and mean-spirited comment to make when the reality is that Europeans have stolen, corrupted, and oppressed every other culture imaginable throughout history. Whether or not Nefertiti was black is not the point. Egypt is in Africa - therefore she was African. There are plenty of people of African descent who are not necessarily black.

  • @scstxr Furthermore, can you blame African Americans for wanting to be proud of a culture that has long been revered when so much of their own history has been whitewashed with the backdrop of slavery. Many African Americans don't even know their direct lineage to Africa because of slavery. Instead of bashing them over the head with "She was white!" can't you have a semblance of compassion for their perspective?

At the end of the day, we still have a rich, beautiful history and body of people.

  • @scstxr the Egyptians also distinguished themselves from what we would call arabic's. on a king tut artififact it shows him slattering middle easterners and nubians. the egyptians were egyptians in there own sense, and are a product of africa.

  • all the eygptains queen were african or at least mostly african .... im hearing asian and shit ... NO if your african your black period, i could care less what anyone may think about blacks, becuase in america if you have african blood and you have brown skin your black period. If she lived today judging from her busk people would think she was Black or African not mixed or middle eastern ... just black

  • Wow, she was gorgeous!

  • principles allowed the bust to copy her physical appearance with 99.9% perfection, capture some of her etherical "aura", or being and stand the test of time over 2000 years (and undoubtly another 2000). This is art on a level we cannot replicate, and there is a reason why she reappeared as she did and is where she is. It is unconscientious to disrespect it.

  • Her bust loses its "aura" after you tinker with it. It indicates to me that what you have "reconstructed" is not what she looked like. Sorry, I respect your hard and honoust work, but feel modern day artists are unaware of what they are toying around with. Tutmosis was a spiritually enlightened person who knew exactly why and how he crafted the bust. The bust was sculptured on commission by Nefertiti and in accordance with certain esotherical principles. The ancient knowledge behind these

  • wow....JUDEMARIS is talented...

  • I love Egyptian babes and I would've loved to have a taste of Nefer's Tity ha ha ha ha !!

  • wow you are really great. Thanks for your liz's construction. RIP Liz Taylor.

  • Loved the eyelid flickering, nice job.

  • think Nefertiti was an Egyptian or an Israeli type of woman with some Asian background. However her bust gives the perfect picture of how she looked. However, the royal family is always clean and fair compared to the local people. Even in the sub-Saharan family. All I know is these women are hotter more than ewwww ghostly white queens.

  • That was haunting. Very well done!

  • wow she was pretty...where can i meet this lady? hmmm :p

  • You won't believe this , but it is true . I was in a restaurant in Cairo . sitting near me was a lady who looked just like this with a man presumably her husband . I would have loved to take her photograph but did not have the nerve to ask

  • She was trully a beautiful strong woman. A movie or tv series should be done on her!

  • Gorgeous work!

  • Rumor has it Halle Berry's going to play her. I think she'd be good for the part.

  • @HistoryLover1550 i think Zoe Saldana should do it.

  • @markanddana She would be excellent for the part, I agree! :)

  • @markanddana iman(a model from sudan who dated davey bowie) has the same facial features has the bust, she should play it.

  • She looks like Salma Hayek!

  • plz show mi how to do this please i wanted to learn for years ur soo great at what u do

  • flawless.

  • She had two ear piercings and wore bigger earings too.

  • She's prettier than Cleopatra!

  • Great!!! And what a beauty she was

  • what a beautifull nubian queen she was

  • @kreollicious she was an Egyptian queen. Nubians ruled over Egypt for very short period.

  • another awesome great video by judemaris 5 stars

  • I think its well done, and who ever can't take it can always go to another channel, and miss out on the wonderful art JudeMaris offers us for free! It is not "political correctness" to offer up art as you wish, its poetic license. I as an artist do it myself, and i offer no apologies, and neither should this talented person.

  • JudeMaris, I think your work is BRILLIANT!

  • Ok, since you've got enough of flattering from others I'll expose you to some critique... Why did you make her skin so dark compared to the bust? Even contemporary Egyptian records explicitly mention her being "fair of face". While you say you want to avoid contemporary standards, you apply contemporary western "political correctness" by implying that African equals black. Even your Cleopatra reconstruction resembles more that of a mulatto, even though she was a pure-blooded Macedonian Greek...

  • @unapologeticmind *sigh* "Fair of face" means beautiful. "Fair-skinned" would imply she was a lighter color all round. When the orange color is taken out of the bust, what's left is a soft, light brown. I worked with what was there. Skin color is the ONE attribute that cannot be guessed accurately in ANY restoration. It's extremely individual. And, for the record, Cleopatra was only Macedonian Greek on her FATHER's side. Her mother's lineage is unknown, though presumed to be of African descent.

  • @JudeMaris THANK YOU! I am getting sick and tired of people saying that egyptians are related to europeans and other light skinned races. I'm also glad someone portrayed these royal figures the RIGHT WAY! :)

  • @JudeMaris Great answear. Like seeing someone really know what they are talking about. Thank you for your videos!

  • @JudeMaris Presumed African? Yes she lived in Africa because Egypt was in Africa, however, her mother was more probably Egyptian.

  • @JudeMaris "'Fair of face' means beautiful." Thank you!!! That was exactly what I said immediately when I read unapologeticmind's comment. Let's not try to twist words as if to decieve people who may not know the meaning. "Fair of face" does not mean the same thing as "fair-skinned" or "of fair complexion".

  • @JudeMaris (continued) Especially back in the days "fair" was one of the words that means "beautiful". In modern English we don't really use it that way anymore.

  • @unapologeticmind another european lie. she was born in egypt, she could have been queen if she was born in greece. NEFERTITI was african. sorry.

  • @unapologeticmind I reckon the skin tone is quit accurate actually! What are expecting her skin to be as white as snow? Becuase if your are! Then you are much on the wrong track! Peace

  • @unapologeticmind r u talking abt Nefertiti or Cleopatra? Cleopatra was Macedonian but is suggested to have been half negro... Nefertiti was the queen and co-ruler alongside Akhenaton (formerly Amenophis IV) and her parental decent is unknown...

  • Wow this couldn't be anymore amazing. I love your videos they are so incredible and lifelike. Thank you so much for sharing your work :)

  • Wow, she was so elegant and lovely. ;] What a wonderful job you did.

  • Incredible work... I just watched The face of Cleopatra, the narration really added intrest. You have a pleasant voice. I think you should narrate more of your videos. Love your work lady, but I'm sure you know that by now. 5*****

  • Indeed I do, Larry :)

My voice is getting a lot rougher as time goes on (not much can be done about it) so I guess I'd better record it while it's still pleasant!

  • @JudeMaris AT 1:21, AWESOME :) I ALMOST JUMPED FROM MY SIT. AS IF I WAS SEEING A REAL PERSON. NICE WORK JUDEMARIS.

  • I would ask how you made this video, but knowing would remove the magic for me and your work is a trip through a time and place long past.

I don't have the words to describe how much I love your work. You are truly gifted and do these people a great honor by letting us see them as they were in life.

  • Thanks indeed, JonnysKia! Wow, I'd say something else, but I don't want to spoil the moment :)

  • Absolutely beautiful work!

  • Thank you very much, Aussie! She was a very beautiful queen :)

  • ...and a GREAT JOB you've done with this one, JudeMaris! Breathtaking transformation. You are quite talented and the musical selection was perfect, too!

  • Many thanks indeed, HakatRe! The sculpture is already such a beautiful work of art, the only feature that was completely replaced was her ear!

  • Wow, this awesome Mel, 5* and faved.

  • Thanks, Nick! This, more than most, was a labor of love. I've always wanted to see the bust of Nefertiti restored; and as long as I was at it, I took it to the next level!
