  • This is ridiculously badass.

  • I'd slap my mom for a quality version of this!!!!

  • damn dude i like this band too but it wont change the way i dress or look .

  • sick

  • RESPECT!!!

  • this is a great demo of how it doesn't matter what guitar you play. You can get that "Nirvana sound" with lots of different rigs. So kiddies, you don't have to get a Mustang to sound like Kurt!

  • @geridg At the same time, While it has the grungy edge to it, The whole idea of doing a cover (especially cross genres) is to give it a different style. In this case, RRH's gretch, in standard tunning, as opposed to Nirvana's fender in drop d, or f.

  • @RatBastardFilms this song was played in standard, as was the entire album, in utero was the album that was in all half step down

  • @geridg his tone was mostly in his marshall/mesa boogie rig, nevermind tracks only had a ds-1 for distortion, besides he played pretty much a jaguar for nevermind

  • why can't everybody just shut the fuck up at concerts...cant hear a goddamned thing

  • He is the reason why i bought a Gretsch, nobody has the style or play like this guy..Not even the inventors of rockabilly...hes very, very, good..so underrated..what a shame

  • The Rev Just Spreadin the Love is all....

  • Right on....

  • Like the song or not you caught the Rev in a mood. Pretty insane all together!!! I'm shocked.

  • This is one of the best nirvana covers I have ever seen.

  • This seems to be a great cover for the Rev!

  • 1 person missed the "like" button

  • @RuneCabbage That joke is done now dude...

  • this is still better than any nirvana song i've always thought other than dave grohl they swallowed and this is proof that superior musians make the song better, jim heath is much the better singer/songwritter, and guitarist than 100 kurt cobains

  • @66cuda millions would disagree

  • they sorta seem to be "taking the piss" as the british say

  • @psychicguitar

I think the Reverend's first album was on Sub-pop...same label as Nirvana, so I believe this is a legitimate tribute.

  • @ckchambers True dat!

  • @psychicguitar ....they are not "taking the piss", but they could have been pissed, again .... in the British vernacular. Jim and the Boys are GREATNESS, and if they didn't respect the tune, they would not play it.

  • The Rev and Jimbo are 2 very nice, very real guys. I met them last night...I can safely say that was one of the best moments of my 16 years of life.

  • FUCK! Why didnt you guys play this in Indy?? Cool!

  • id have loved to have been there, must have been fantastic in person!

  • This is an absolutely AMAZING cover! Kurt would be proud of such justice, and the fact it isn't another cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". RIP Kurt, we still remember!!!

  • sub pop is the record label kenny

  • SIDA obviously has no idea what psychobilly is comparing it sub pop which wasnt even Nirvana, geeezzz I dont know where to begin calling u a dick haha.... anyway Rev Rocks!!!!

  • @mynameisnotkenneth sub pop is a record label. You are a dumb ass

  • @tex10krunner ok sorry I didnt know that, and tomorrow when I wake up I will be furthur educated on the topic, but tomorrow when you wake up you will still be a rude asshole with a small dick hahahahaha

  • a Sub Pop band covering another Sub Pop band :o

  • I so love those guys !

  • flaming suit = rockass

  • HAHA!! YES!!! Go Rev!!

  • All of my dreams have just come true. Now if we could just get him to cover "Lithium".

  • Cool cover.....go Rev.

  • For a long time Nirvana was the only band that I liked. Then one year I went to the Warped Tour because my friends were going. While I was there I saw Reverend Horton Heat for the first time and it changed my life. Opened up a whole world of music to me. After seeing them i cut off my shoulder length hair and replaced my flannel shirts with bowling shirts.

  • LOFL @ deadjerusalem.

I wish I still had my white and black polyester bowling shirt (except when it rained, it got all sticky).

Now that was some flat out cool attire for the road.

I kept it until it was see through and faded to beige and alabaster.

  • @deadjerusalem I dunno about the cutting the hair part, but the bowling shirts FTW!

  • @deadjerusalem cool story bro. Pity you missed the point that you can uh like both.

  • @Hildovar read it again. I never once said anything about not liking both.

  • @deadjerusalem haha, you shoulda kept the flannel but got a pompadour, thats what i did X)

theres no reason why you cant keep part of a style from one genre and take on some from you like, helps create originality haha

  • @deadjerusalem so you basically turned into charlie sheen's character from 2 and a half men? would you like some cream to go with that burn? love me.

  • @TheStrangecam That was hilarious. You're totally right.

  • @TheStrangecam I would like some cream. I'm not burned. I just like cream.

  • id love to hear a clean version of this song

Kinda like Alice In Chains Queen of the Rodeo for the longest time a rarity of rarities

  • i saw reverand horton heat in cleveland last week, i wish they did this. ive got a friend in jimbo though.

  • :-) And does it best ... no room for cover ...

  • Cool Cover

    gotta love the Rev !

  • For those who say that hollow body guitar and double bass aren't vary versatile. ;) GREAT!

  • love the rev or else !

  • I love it when grunge friends cover each others shit....

    Obv. a joke.

  • pretty good shit

  • If you dont love the rev you are a bad person and I do not like you. That is all.

  • Wow! This is amazing!!

Great rare footage.. Thanks for sharing!

  • Its really a shame these guys aren't as famous as a bunch of emos that get on stage and complain about love.

  • lol so true the reverend is definitely one of the most underrated guitarists ever but there too cool for mainstream fame anyway

  • This was a cool show. I've seen the Rev twice. At the end of the show. Paul the drummer let my son come on stage and play his drums.

  • WHOA! Reverend Horton Heat playing covering a Nirvana song!?!...AWESOME.

  • Dude they made that song so much better...haha they put on a hell of a show don't they
