lol thats pretty cool. I first performed when i was 10 after 3 months of drum lessons it was with my dads band (oldies) and the song was school days where i performed it at my elementary's field day in the fourth grade :). I did fine but i had a stage fright til the 7th grade for some reason but im over that now. its such a weird experience but it will always stick. check me out with this surf band i played with on a vacation to kauai hawai'i. awsome guys.

great video bazy..the quality is Ok considering early 80's video cameras.. sucks when you have done so many gigs and you don't know where those video tapers in the crowd have gone!!! Nice time capsul you shared, you seem prepared for the gig, you are focused, the guitar player on the far left is total jokes! THe guitar is as big as him, but he shreds!!!

Yeah,that's what I was thinking about.Our mixer was horrible (Tapco) & our soundman really liked the Jack.That lead to overdriven -echo- plex syndrome.Still,I love these archives.Nice talking at you Mr. BzB !

Thanks...I will tell Kenny what a stage hog he is...naw just kidding...It was just a bad camera angle. We only had one camera back then and it was the size of a small suit case and had a battery pack the size of another small suit case. BzB :-)

Thanks...I love switzerland...I lived in Germany when I was younger and I visited Switzerland...one of the most memorable things in my life...The mountains are beautiful. HAH! This is cool! I was from the same era in the Northeast. I was class of 82. I had a cheapo white kit, bought a second bass drum. Prison striped them all up like Alex Van Halen's kit. I had my front bass heads cut exactly like that just to keep the front hoops in place. I'm surprised you even have bottom heads on the toms. It was big back then, but awful sounding. My two "concert toms" were poorly made Cannon toms with crappy bearing edges and warped hoops. Nice for you to transfer this!

Yea...I knew that this one would bring back memories for a lot of people...I was lucky to have had this footage still trasfered from a Beta Camera format to VHS a long time ago...and then I walked into a store in the mall and they had a small machine for $100 that transfered any format into an AVI. I am just glad it was still good enough for me to make the vid. BzB :-)

Thanks for the complements dude. We were all very happy with this performace. Looking back, I am in fact very proud of what we did with our limited experience. As a musician, I would not have wanted to start out any less than this. BzB :-)

Yea...I was just showing my sons some old pictures of that kit set up in my bedroom and talking about that 80's bass drum hole thing. So different from today. But yea...I was following the lead of other drummers that I respected and that is what everyone was doing at the time. We thought it sounded so awesome...maybe it did.

Who knows what would have happened...I am not sure why the band split up anymore...but everything ends up with its reasons down the line somehow.

I lived in Wichita Falls for 5 years but Austin is the farthest south that I had ever been in Texas. I went to Austin for a weekend to play in the UIL State Jazz Band Contest. I played on the UT Austin Stage there...but I am not really familiar with Waco at all...I always wanted to get to visit there...but never got the chnace to. BzB :-)

We played a couple of shows and then went our separate ways...I actually cant remember exactly what it was the broke up the band. They were a fun group of guys to hang out with and play with...it was a great first band. BzB :-)

The lead singer and I are best friends although we live far apart from each other now. We do visit each other and in fact I was just visiting with him over this Summer. The rest of the guys...I am not sure about...I have not talked to any of them since...but who knows...Facebook works miracles these days. BzB :-)
