@rachelmarie551 there is a website called bevscountrycottage. com and it has head sizes for all ages :) increase your hat until it is 1 inch smaller than the head size you need , this will alow for stretch

@acavazos1307 Use a smaller hook than wht you used to make the hat.. you will have to start again

@acavazos1307 that happened to me, too. but i'm using a 4.0 mm hook and i don't have any smaller ones. so i guess i'll just make the hat and see how it turns out. if it's completely awful i'll just go buy another hook and start over.

ok i feel like a dummy but my work looked wavy so I read the comments and started all over with a smaller hook. Well now it is completely flat! i don't understand what i did wrong. Help plz?

@whiteroseghost Hi, DOnt feel silly as this happens to everyone, it actually happend to me today :) Are you using the double crochet stitch ? What thickness of yarn are you using and what size hook ?

@bobwilson123 I started with medium thickness yarn with a 5 mm hook. That's when it went wavy. Yes I am using the double cross stitich. I went to a smaller hook and started all over and now it is flat>

My seam appears to be on an angle rather than straight down, Is this normal? If not what would cause this?

@brandifredrickson THe seam will go to one side .. I am yet to master the seam being straight
