  • It's funny...I bet Marbury don't even think about this point back then in his life these days. Reminds me of the interview with Wu-tang at the end of the track of their first major hit "C.R.E.A.M." when they were talkin about not sellin out to doing RnB/rap colabs and keepin the Wu brand alive and in the "family" forever for their children and shit. That was '93....look at em now.

    Starbury's become a straight bastard.

  • The funny thing about Marbury is that every team that traded him got better. That says a lot about his attitude. Many players, such as Keith Van Horn, Kurt Thomas, Quentin Richardson, Tom Gugliotta and others didn't want to play with him. Kurt Thomas was stopped from beating his ass. He left Minnesota because was jealous of KG. Million dollar talent, 10 cent brain.

  • westbrook's idol lmao............

  • this guy could just have chill with KG and won some ring.. but he got smart and wanted out...

  • what happened to marbury, when did he go crazy & start eating vaseline? seems normal here

  • @circuiser I wonder if Marbury losing his father affected him to that point. His father played a huge role in Marbury and his brothers playing basketball.

  • Contrary to popular and rather ignorant belief, Stephon was never a ballhog. He averaged 8-9 assists per game. He led the league in assists one year I believe. The guy had a lot of talent. Quite frankly, I don't know how Marbury ended up in the situation he's in right now. People say attitude, but attitude in the NBA doesn't usually result in this. O_O

  • Video makes me tear a little.

  • i can't lie Marbury was one of the best PG in the league in his prime. i still hate him though. if he made better decisions he could of been one of the best to play.

  • Gotta' love all of his "hangers on" congratulating him when he's drafted. All 20 people with him at the draft think they hit the lottery. lol

  • Sounds like he really wanted it early on........wha happened? Now he's a effing crybaby!

  • " 20 hard years" and then fast forward 12 years later. Now that is hard years!!

  • i fuckin love you stephon, mad respect from brooklyn!

  • damn, what happened?

  • Sad, now he plays in china

  • Sad, now he plays in china....

  • He's currently a free agent

  • I love how they put weaknesses and strengths under the person. Like they have the right to judge someone like that. Haters lol

  • how did he get picked before ray allen

  • @dinoguy562 marbury is the more complete and talented player. allen just did more with his pure shooting ability and turned it into a championship and now hes a future hof. marbury on the other hand, made more money but apparently doesnt fit on championship caliber teams

  • @jeffreysam theres a reason he didn't fit on a championship team. I'd rather have Ray Allens career.

  • yeah, Marbury, that's my boys

  • LOOK AT MY BOY STEPH!

  • Loser

  • Comment removed

  • Picks No. 11 & 12 of this draft were busts, they were Todd Fuller and Vitaly Potapenko.

  • potapenko was not really a bust.

the guy lasted long enough in the league and is pretty much what you can ask for from that draft position.

  • bust marbury is trash i use to sort like him be he was over hyped

  • hes not a bust...or over hyped....his attitude was jus in the way...his early year stats speaks for itself

  • Word! Marbury was never overrated. His ego is what kept him from winning any chips. He averaged like 19 & 8 over his career before the Knicks.

  • are u fucking kidding me? maybe hes not as good as he was before.. but bust? man ur on fuckin crack. marbury was 1 of the best point guards in his era.

  • what has he done? i tell you nothing he is a waste of talent in his best days he was nothing but a ballhog and eventually you could see that type style would play out and he could never lead a team to a ring ask steven a smith new york is glad he is gone best of this era yeah right thats a fucking joke right to be one of the best guard you have average 10 assist or have a ring and he is 32 playing like hes done at boston he averages what 2 ppg come on he is finished he cant even score anymore

  • dont take up for bums its a bad look fam

  • @infamousmobb47 wait he was a point guard?????????

  • no, he was a power forward. fuckin idiot of course he's a pg.

  • @halokid26 played a lot more like a 2 guard, looked for his shot, didn't create for others. His assists where because he played for stats

  • @infamousmobb47 sheeeit i feel he's one of the best PG's in THIS era!!!! its funny how analysts and commentators hate on the guy and say he's a ball hog.......SMDH last time i checked ball hogs didnt avg. 8ast multiple seasons!!! I guess this makes Lebron,Kobe,Wade,Melo,A.I., even rajon Rondo ball hogs huh? lololol

  • Hahaha - 'its been 20 years...20 long years'. You sure about that?

  • LOL

  • 2:15

  • Marbury from 1996-2004 was ill!! he was rarely surrounded by good players

  • yeah there were some crazy draft moments here....camby going #2, rahim going #3, ben wallace not even drafted, 5 centers in the top 12 picks!!

  • come and join the bandwagon!!

  • marbury had the skills to be one of the best PG of all time, it's just his atitude stinks.

  • The 1996 draft was so wierd

    Picks #1-6 produced 5 all-stars.

    Picks #7-12 produced none.

Then picks #13-17 prouduced 4 all-stars (Peja Stojakovic, Jermaine O'Neal, Steve Nash n Kobe Bryant at that!)

Teams #7-12 (Clippers, Nets, Mavericks, Pacers, Warriors n Cavs) really messed up!

  • Peja was the 14th pick of the Sac Kings in 96.

  • Yup but he played for them in 99

  • Yeah I know what u mean man. I was just sayin Peja was drafted in 96 n that teams #7-12 missed out on alot of talent in that years draft.

  • yes my friend,no prob :)

  • glad we traded him for ray but not glad we traded ray

  • who traded marbury for allen? the ray allen u mean?

  • yea it waz a draft nite deal

  • fuckin Marbury sucks!!! He can't do shit!!!

  • if only he didnt go psycho, who knows what he could have been for new york...

  • you cant blame Marbury, he just wanted his money, lol

  • this guy turned out to be a headcase...

  • Dam marbury u use ta be tha shit dam only if u cared about winning and not your numbers maybe you can still be good im sorry man

  • D.Rose game remind me of a young Marbury

  • Except Rose isn't an absolute lunatic. But yes, skills are pretty similar.

  • haha he got this off nba tv its not the original feed. haha you suck uploader.

  • Damn Steph, what happened?

  • 2003 1st round against the spurs is what happened bitch!.

  • He bust Tony Longoria's punk ass.

  • Seeing this as a New Yorker makes me sad. Steph was the truth, averaging over 20 points, 8 assist he was an offensive juggernaut. But, what can do when you lose that hunger.

  • To tell you tell You the ttruth the Bucks suck they trade him for a crappy player and if we had them we would be a championship team But no the bucks are stupid and trade him for a crappy person and look at us now we suck yes we suck we could not be any worse so now we have a record of being last in the central division. the starting line up we could have if we had him it be

    Andrew Bogut

    Micheal Redd

    Richard Jefferson

    Charlie Vilanova

    Stephon Marbury

    6th man Luke Ridnour

  • ....not if he does get traded or waived when he plays us he is gunna BUST our asses !! it always happens that way especially 4 the Knicks lmao I hope he signs 4 less with the lakers n becomes that piece Kobe needs Phil can fix him n Starbury could ball I watched him since high school n he's a born leader. there jus too much pressure in nyc 4 him to deliver that championship. but put him on the 99 knicks roster n it wouldve been a rap !!!

    C Camby

    PF LJ

    SF Spree

    SG Houston

    PG Steph

    WOW !!!

  • heartfelt ... Marbury was so sick back than. He was on the same level as Iverson at a time till he came to New York. New York was his downfall, he was still sick in Phoenix and Jersey.

  • its true you ever notice how especially nyc baller play in nyc n bomb ? too much partying n celebrity shit imagine being born poor in brooklyn n then becoming a young millionaire in the spot light of the biggest city in the world you feel like theres not enuff time in a day and you own shit cuz now you can do things go places and be someone you couldnt before with a pocket of legit money. and bitches on ya dick everyone knows ya name. in phoenix n minny they aint really care about that nigga.

  • haha, hearing what hubie brown says i feel i can be the commentator on draft night too, full of bs haha

  • you are one funny dude lol.

  • marburys talented but the niggas the biggest failure in the nba

  • @speedyrolls the biggest failure in the NBA! slow your roll player.

  • if you need a selfish pg who cares all about his numbers with no leadership skills and take your team out of a game in a hurry than this is your guy

  • im neeeeed a 96 draft hat...

  • now look where he is... damn man

  • hmmm,"Hey im Stephon Marbury..im gonna leave the Minnesota Timberwolves because Kevin Garnett is being paid more than me.." SACRAFICE BITCH!

  • Mabury didnt leave cuz of that his conditions there at minisoata he felt like he didnt belong their no cuz of money

  • marbury left minnesota because of garnett..

  • @TravieEatWorld Marbury left Minnesota because he wanted to make as much money as Garnett.

  • dang i wish he stayed in minnesota!! him and kg would've lost to the lakers every year in the conference finals but they 4sho would've taken portlands place durin that time...

  • the most athletic PG in the history of the NbA (before the coming of derrick rose)

  • so true son but I hope he starts achieving now because he's getting old

  • steph was actually averaging 20, 8 and 3 for the longest plus he took the suns to the playoffs with a 19 year old amare and a young marion!! he really didnt fall off until he went to NY thats why i would love to see him leave, he would excel in atlanta but they got bibby now...poor Marbury

  • Stephon was in the trade for Kidd when Kidd was getting charged with domestic assault. Stephon then got traded by the Suns because of his DUI.

  • Dreams come true

  • overrated

  • this is why i hate the NBA. He got drafted by the Bucks then right after that he plays at Minnosta. Then played for NJ, Suns, and NY. You never see something like this in the NFL.

  • that's because NFL players get drafted by a team and then go to jail, before they get a chance to be traded.

  • Stop Hating On Marbury, He Had The Nicest Game In The Leauge..

  • bust

  • LOOKS LIKE TOO SHORT THE RAPPER

  • too bad marbury never really cared about winning

  • so true I like his game, but he has not lived up to the expectations that was expected of him since he's entered the league.

  • not one of the better PGS in the league

  • i play jus like him

  • If you play like him Nonthing2loose, then you suck. Your teammates hate you.

  • Cancer in a human form

  • marbury-the biggest crybaby in the nba.

  • thekingofpimpin, If you can find it, can you please upload Zydrunas Ilgauskas' Overall pick from the 1996 NBA Draft?

P.S. If you do find it, can you also please tell me where you found all the draft videos?

    Thank you.

  • Greatest Coach Killer of all time

  • he is amazing

  • that guy had problems back then too, see how he is crying, wtf, didnt he know he was gonna get picked?

  • i remember reading in AI's biography Only The Strong Survive that the reason the Sixers went for AI instead of Starbury was because AI was more real. He didn't give "textbook" answers like Starbury did when the Sixers management interviewed him.

  • Excellent defender? haha, Hubie Brown needs to put down the crack pipe...

  • steph has the ability to be an excellent defender-->he is bull strong and bullet quick-->he is lazy--fine scorer--but i am a knick fan and i think he is useless if he doesnt harass these other soft ass point guards.

  • Steph is a inspirational player to me

  • Lmao that funny how the last part about pg's being leaders repeats

  • i remember when they uesd to say he was better than ai

  • steph's definition of an NBA point guard is a definition of IRONY!
