There arent many exhaust valves and turbines that can take that sort of heat for extended periods of time. That, and Im sure the A/C hoses and fan cowl are probably nice and crispy by now, if its even still running.

well actually Eclipse was built in Detroit under DSM which is Diamond Star Motors or Diamler Chrysler and uses the same motor as the Sebring along with the same frame and interior trim but Sebring offered a smaller motor along with the 2.0L
also the "Japanese" eclipse is a FTO since they do not actually have an ecplise like we do anyways and the parts dont match because they dont share a motor and FTO is rear wheel drive and has different body panels and interior

It has been proven time and time again that 4 cyl and 6 cyl can be as powerful as their V8 and bigger counterparts with the help of F/I, among other things. But of course, 4cyl cars and 6 cyl engines collapse alot sooner at high hp levels. With V8s, one of the most obvious cons is their weight. Everything has its pros and cons. Just stop bashing each other about American V8s or Japanese 4 cyl 'sewing machine' engines.

Couldnt agree more. Hell, even a Mustang is in a different price range than a Civic. Supras or Skylines or RX7s are more or less in the same league price-wise. But performance wise.... a Civic and a Mustang would be a closer match (assuming the Honda is properly built.. not just some ricer with an intake and exhaust upgrade)
