Very accurate description. I've never seen a more accurate description of graduate study (I'm in law school, sister in dental school). I've eaten week old pancakes during pancake lectures the entire second half of a semester.

He forgot to explain how you have to recover every one of those same pancakes that you regurgitated over the course of 2 years plus a few more, eat them again in 5-6 weeks, then brace for the most grueling puke so far. How well you throw up on that one day determines what your job will be like for the rest of your life.

This is a great video and is truly getting around. I met with the Dean of admissions at the University of IL in Peoria and she recommended I watch it.  This is so true and a great analogy. Sometimes it feels as though you are eating a lot more than 5.

I'm going to med school next year... a bit scary. But I pretty much felt like this in undergrad too, so I'll be ok hopefully. I've pounded down 40 pancakes worth of studying in a 36 hr. period, gotta get ready to do it again :)
