  • Hey, i noticed you bury the beater, is this a bad habit or should i not worry about it if it makes it easier?

  • Hey Rob! I just wanted to let you know that I genuinely love the lessons you have posted. I really appreciate the time and thought you have put into creating these videos. Thank you so much for your effort, and judging by all the responses on your pages there are quite a few others who feel the same. Thanks Again!!!!

  • 2 days into drums and I can play this at 184 bpm. love your lessons

  • good Lord. I play these double beats on the 2.5 and 3 beat and this 3 3.5 is killing me. sigh. but practice practice practice they say -_-

Is it weird i get it better fast? lol

  • Hi Rob. Your drum lessons are really helpful. I always wanted to play drum but I didn't get the opportunity due to financial constraint. At least, I can now learn it from your video and save some money to buy a drum kit. Thank you and you are really a good teacher.

  • Thanks a lot. I'm guitar player, but I'm composing songs so I needed to learn about drums and percussion. You are great teacher and your videos helped me a lot. :D

  • I have been playing drums a couple of times before just for fun but my mother got me a cheap drum kit yesterday so i started jamming a bit. this is the first of the lessons that really helps me and it is in a very good way :D

  • @DrumsTheWord Thank you for the tips. I think I could use my mom's music stand as a high hat and my bongos as a snare drum. I was just wondering what I could use or make as a bass drum and a foot pedal. Thank you for answering.

  • Your the best drum teacher! My band teacher was going to teach me but it didn't work very well. Do you have an idea for a makeshift drum kit since I don't have a real one? Or anyone for that matter? Thanks!

  • @Evanescence7654 Thanks for the drum love! You could use the side of your bed and pillows like I used too. It's not perfect but it's something. Good luck! Rob

  • hey dude! which drum set do you have

  • @alamdar72able It's a Yamaha DTXPress Special IV. Thanks for your interest. Rob

  • So man teachers on the net...But you are really the best..I believe most of them out there is doing it for publicity for their school/centres etc...but i feel that you are really sincere in teaching us...Thank You for the sincere free lessons :)

  • thanks dude my old drum teacher quit to go to collage shes an old friend of mine but now im left without a teacher this will be great untill i can find a new one ^-^

  • I don't have a ride :( is it also good when i do the beats on the ride on my crash?

  • Hey @tank0wnz2! Yeah, no problem at all! Your right hand can play anywhere on the kit in fact. Have you tried playing with your right hand on the floor tom before? These beats sound really cool when the right hand is played on a tom tom. Happy drumming to you! Rob

  • @DrumsTheWord Thanks a lot :D

  • I find this very hard for some reason. Rest of the beats are easy but this is quite tricky

  • Thank you this really helps (: Amazing job mister!

  • you are a best teacher i had a craze of drum and i am just learning it in free thanks dude and plz reply

  • These vids are great! I am learning how to play!

  • Just wanted to thank you for the great videos, best i've found on the web. I've got 4 kids so finding time for the drums is hard, but these videos are perfect for my situation. I just started a couple weeks ago, and using these videos has really helped me out. I feel like I owe you some money they are so good. Keep up the good work.

  • You owe me nothing, @MrCaptaind19. I'm glad I was able to help you!

  • were you taught lessons or naturally good rhythm?

  • Hi @LittleD3, I was self taught initially and then later received training and private drum lessons. I believe that ANY one can learn how to drum and that good rhythm CAN be taught with patience and with practice. Hope this answers your question! Rob

  • @DrumsTheWord it totally does thank you,
