  • And you think your car has issues starting in cold weather. Try starting when the "air" coming in is over 200F below zero. XD

  • Dont really care for RP1/Lox engines, not as clean as LH2/LOX.

  • what are the tubes on the side that are spewing grey smoke?

  • Exhaust from the gas generator that runs the turbopumps. The gas generator runs fuel rich (kerosene) so the exhaust is sooty and not clear CO2.

  • Also, before the engines are started, supercold oxygen is used to chill down the engine to condition them for operation so that's the white vapor that's being vented.
