I am autistic (yes I can type and communicate but I do have those horrible tantrums that autistic people can have), but I was an adult when I had my first treatment and it wasn't for my autism it was for my bad shoulder.
It's not particularly painful (more of a pinch, though I can see why these kids don't like it!) and it works, a ten minute taster and I was pain-free for four days.
My legs went numb and started tingling in a weird (but not unpleasant way)
I dont see how acupunture to the head would do much. They arent piercing the skull, correct..? Is the science behind it that there are important nerve endings on the top of the head? Seems kind of like pseudoscience...I believe acupuncture works, but unless these are reaching the brain I don't see what they would do...
its posts like this one that give americans such a bad rap. just because the only thing about anatomy that you understand has to do with the brain, does not mean that this therapy would have to be "touching" the brain to work. I think its incredibly ignorant to call something that has been around for thousands and thousands of years a "pseudoscience" just because you don't know how it works.
Yes but the autism kids knows that it has been helping them so they just line-up for their turn for the autism neuro acupuncture treatment by World Renow Master Leong
