In fact, newborn dogs need to be inspected early for any kind of illness or birthing problem as soon as possible so they can be taken to a vet. Also, the more attention puppies get from their owners in the early stages of life, the calmer and happier the pet will be later in life.

Animals dont feel pain when they give birth, its natural, the fact women have pain when giving birth has baffled many scientists or whatever Doctors? lol, since the pain does not come from the actual womb opening up, so this reinforces how God cursed women with birth pains :P

you guys shouldnt have touch the puppys, really. well you CAN, but SHOULDNT. since theyre newborn, theyre prone to catching simple sicknesses and diseases that could easily kill them. new people outside of the household should have NO CONTACT with newborn puppies. However, when YOU are handling puppies, make sure your hands are clean and you dont take them too far from the mother because it will cause her to become uncomfortable and leave the other puppies. .

first off your dog will lick them right away its out of inscint if not when the puppies are born remove the sack (the slimy stuff) and then wipe it with a clean towel then thats about it hope that helped

Actually... puppies are blind until 3 weeks...

sparklingfacex -- my grandmother who breeds poodles says 2 weeks but i think around 4-5 weeks is good. At around 6 weeks they will start to grow teeth. Feeding off their mother with teeth, she will reject them and refuse to let them feed.

To wean, buy some puppy milk from ur local shopping center. Make sure it is WARM not hot. Dip ur finger in it and let them lick it off. U can do this with cows milk, but u must water it down..
