  • How much HP do you think all the mods have added?

  • what are the sites you used for the mods into the car, and where did you order yur head lights? btw im asking this cause i saw your profile on this car.

  • @hassen3131 VHT Nightshade! It's about $12 a can. Works wonders.

  • about the tail lights,,, did u spray tint them? or that is a plastic cover for it? :)

    thnxxx

  • @hassen3131 go to my cardomain page. you will find what you seek

  • the whistling is the supercharger.

  • @ipodkids10 doesn't have one

  • are you on gpf?

  • This is a real nice grand prix, i have a 99 GTP. Really nice cars. Well i was just curious what all you did to get your exhaust to sound like that? is it just new mufflers? Because i need a new cat and i was going to get a magnaflow.

  • is the only mod to your prix just the mufflers? i noticed how when you accelerate the engine whistles like its an electric car. mine makes the same noise, anyone know whats causing it?

  • @CaptnColey well i had a wizair cold air intake on it. Any kind of aftermarket air intake will make a whislting noise in the engine bay. I think the only way to get rid of it is get a northstar throttle body. doesnt bother me at all though

  • @tbeavers23 I have a custom 4" intake and it whistles like a jet engine! Well thats exageraded but you can hear it inside the car and when you lift the hood on first warm up it sounds like a wet/dry vac is screaming at you.

  • dope grand prix man, i have the same year in black

  • dope grand prix man, i have the same year in black

  • i saw your gp on cardomain the other dy and i gotta say thats the sexiest grand prix ive seen. its so fuckin clean man. i have the same color and i just cant get it clean like yours man. how the helll do you do it???

  • @AONEMANPRODUCTION

Lots of OCD, product, detailing hours, and elbow grease :) Takes some time to get it like this, but once you do, you just gotta maintain it. I wipe it down once a day to get the dust off it and wipe down the engine bay every other car wash. Its a good amount of effort, but i think its worth it

  • What size are the exhaust tips?

  • @BlueDiamondSaver

They are teh SE tips that come on some of special edition 04+ grand prixs. I believe they are dual 3" so a total of 6" across. i believe the width of the bumper cut is like 7"

  • @tbeavers23 Alright thanks. Think i'm going to order some magnaflow dual 3's.

  • yes they will fit 97 and up. you need these with an offset inlet and a center outlet. I had a friend (who is a welder) cut the old mufflers off and weld in the new ones. any exhaust shop like midas or meineke can do this for you

  • i was just wondering would these fit my 99 and what do i need to do to install them? thanks for the help

  • @senecalife180

yes they will fit. tips, you just need to get your old clamps off that are holding your stock tips. I had to cut mine off using an electrical saw blade. if you wnat mufflers, any exhaust shop can do it. I had a friend who works at a shop cut the old mufflers off and weld the mufflers and tips on.

  • i also wanted to stress that this was taken on a hot day after the exhaust was hot. This is alot louder on cold start ups

  • are those taillights panited or are they light covers. Are they hard to see at night

  • @916samman

they are tinted. I have a write-up on how to do it at clubgp.com in the appearance section on the forums. its titled "tail light tinting write-up" or "how to VHT tint your tails". They are only hard to see if you spray too much. Mine are still visible

  • funny thing DP wont fit on your car :)

  • @crzwoo ??? what you talkin bout willis

  • @crzwoo no...its a 3" dp with cat...inlet/outlet 2.25" to bolt to his stock exhaust genius..research or have knowledge on the vehicle b4 proving your stupidity. 1999 grand prix gtp 3" zzp dp to 2.5" zzp catback, flopro mufflers, evap egr resonator delete, 1:9:1 modified zzp rockers, portd LIM & S/C housing, zzp pcm, autolite 104, bosch wires, 3.4 press on pulley, CAI, 8:4:1 compression ( low ) and more.

    280-290whp

    332lb torque

scanned with hp tuners and tuning as well this month.

  • Are You Reving The Car In Park.....

  • you notice any loss in low end torque with the 3in down pipe thats a bit big for a n/a car

  • @killdac nope. people will say that, but there is no proof that it does. opening up that little stock downpipe is really good for the car. IMO, its a waste to just put a 2.5" dp on there because all you are really doing is getting rid of the ubend. .25" really isnt doing a whole lot, especially if your going to be adding more power mods later

  • @tbeavers23 I dunno, I run 2.5" on my GTP making 420WHP.

You lose exhaust velocity the larger the pipe.

  • man i got a 02 grand prix and i really need it to sound badass and ive looked up all this shit you put in your car and man you put some money in it. anything you know that is cheeper and the same quality?

  • @TheRozna

if its sound ur lookin for, i now just have basically a 3" downpipe, a K&N filter in a gutted air box, and the magnaflow mufflers with the tips. still sounds pretty much the same

  • wow awesome, check mine out

  • Have you seen a noticeable difference over stock during your daily driving routine? I am wanting to do the exact same modifications to my 03 LeSabre (Er's, HV3, downpipe and exhaust). I'm sure it will be good, but I just want to know how good.

  • yeah, the hv3 with the rockers is supposed to add 30-40hp. the downpipe is mostly to reduce knock and increase flow. u might gain some hp out of it. The mufflers make the exhaust more free flowing as well, plus it sounds nice ;)

  • @tbeavers23 yeah, it does sound nice ;)

  • @tbeavers23 So, to you all this was totally worth it. On forums people say to top swap or just drop in an L67, but that all seems too extreme. This setup seem SOOO much more reasonable.

  • @blah1752 eh, all the other mods not totally worth it. I have since demodded the car by taking off the hv3 and the rockers. still has all the exhaust mods and such, but honestly, if you are wanting HP, do the topswap. GT Mods do give it a bit of a kick and make it more fun to drive, but its better to put a supercharger on it aka Top Swap.

  • well thanks : ) yeah it sounds good. this video was when the engine was warm. you should hear it on cold start ups or when it goes down the road lol. sounds great.

  • gotta say thats the best sounding non-cammed grand prix ive heard on youtube. i think if i ever get mufflers, i would get those.

  • That sounds awesome. I just finished rebuilding my 3800 Series II and I also have the HV3 insert and ER rockers, but I also switched to a ported LIM and SSAC headers with 3" DP. I just uploaded my vid the other day on my account and I can't wait to get my Magnaflow installed!

  • sounds real good man, same mufflers that i have on my 96 buick regal series II 3.8, sounds just like mine :)

  • alright thanks man i appreciate it..

  • so all you added were magnaflow mufflers and it sounds that good? jw cuz im thinkin bout adding an exaust system to my 97 GP GT

  • idk...i know that my bigger dp, rockers, and an intake make it sound different. before i had the mufflers my exhaust was louder because of those mods. these are good mufflers. they are the wide open series which a straight through design instead of a chambered muffler
