I'm a novice too, but it looked like too much stick work till I noticed you was trying to nose in and tail right. However the heli didn't respond until a few seconds later?

I agree with balancing the blades/ checking the rotor head making sure nothing has bent or broken. My rc helicopter started jumping the tail at random moments and random shaking occurred causing it to instantaneously crash,.
As a repeat of my previous comment, the issue was found. Building interferrence. As soon as I took it outside, stable flight, no worries. In fact, all the fighting with the interferrance actually made me a better pilot!
Shame on all the idiot posts - which includes the majority below. if you dont actually know anything about RC helis, you just make yourself look like an idiot.
Dude, seriously, your an idiot! As mentioned before, the issue was interference from the building.
The Belt rear rotor is belt driven off the main motor, so dont have a rear one. The trim is only _very_ mildly out, and that was deliberate to check deadzones. The blades are fine - otherwise vibration would have been terrible. Buy a helicopter, learn to fly it, grown up, and then post.
on the sticks of course :D i wouldnt move the sticks that much :) dont forget that ALL rc has latency, and given you are using stock servos, they have at least a latency of .10sec if those that you use are 7.5G servos..i noticed your wild sticking to counter the helis movements. try more gentle perhaps it will give you more pleasure than adrenalin while flying :)
Guys, I'm just starting to fly my beltcp.. any advice. crashed in 3 seconds... I'm very comfortable flying the coaxial helis... but it way different than this... any tips thanks!
Get a simulator like realflight. If you get a chance replace your radio to at least DX6i. Also, learn to trim your heli. Before I forget, change your gyro to 0704b and change your ESC.
That is what I did, I flew my heli on first try, but I spent weeks adjusting it before I even started.
Good luck with your heli. You will soon fly it with no probs.
is better to install a futaba gy401, but, that depends on how much are you willing to pay fora hh gyro, the Esky 0704B is a decent gyro, but a gy401 would be the best.
Thanks for all the constructive comments. I narrowed it down in the end. It was enviromental. For some reason it wasnt affecting a Honey Bee and didnt affect the servos at idle. As soon as took it to an alterative location, I hovered it within a 1 metre box on the first try.
dude i can say 2 words u need more 'sim practice' also the heli might not be balanced try moving the battery as far back or forward or chech if its nose or tail heavy. chech all the servos as well one might not be responding well or is damaged
I do agree the best way to hold the controls are between thumb and forefingers so you've got more control (with a neckstrap so you don't drop the control!) It's a lil awkward at first, but in the long run very useful. Second I'm not sure it's a ground effect prob, or she'd be skating all over the place..it looks more like glitchy electronics maybe that tail servo is loose, or the collective of the tail rotor is sticking....
I have a similar problem, The cause was too much pitch (as came from the factory). the rudder servo was unable to keep the tail straight and draws much current. Also, check your tail servo position. The servo arm must be centered, if not, the gears will bind and will cause the same behavior,
Whooo! Biggest source of problems I've had with glitches is due to the poor quality of the standard radio which you're using.I've had lots of problems with control potentiometers glitching badly. I got round this by opening up radio & spraying PTFE into each of the four control potentiometers to lubricate the carbon tracks. Test servos first. Another problem was due to a faulty servo which drew too much current from the 5v supply. Sign is a dimming of leds on gyro unit when moving faulty servo!
Your heli definitely glitches. It's not a matter of balance or pilot error as I watched your sticks. Don't try flying this thing again until you have it figured out. It WILL keep happening. Take it to a hobby shop or try returning it. Possible causes: Bad battery, nicked antenna on heli, bad electronics.
Helicopter is plainly seen not set up correctly, he continuously has to give Right Cyclic, On top of that he has a Rate Gyro on and simply refuses to correct the heli when it drifts, has not a damn thing to do with the helicopter electronics itself. Its setup and Knowledge of flying..
let the RX antenna hang down and test it that way. ive gone back from 2.4ghz to 35mhz so ive gotta look out for glitches all over again myself. i cant wait for 2.4ghz to be the standard.
In the first place, you're holding your remote the wrong way. No wonder you didn't crash it when you just took off. Secondly, take off that training gear, you have no idea how bad that is for your "training".Training gear throws your chopper off balance and also interferes with the ground effects just before taking off.Happy practicing with 'AeroFly Professional Deluxe' with full terbulance / windspeed / etc before trying to fly the real thing ever again, dude, please don't hold it like a game-boy
you did give more stick than at any other point in the video in the direction of spin. but yer interferance.... k....

35mhz getting interference possibly?
JKHypno 2 years ago
Check the belt.! Tight belt properly. I had once quite similar issue, Let me know if works.
frandoza 2 years ago
I can think of 5 solutions off the top of my head
1. Trim it out!
2. Make sure it is balanced!
3. Make sure that the swashplate is level when there is no input!
4. Balance the blades!
5. Turn off the AC! (Air vents can push the heli around)

How did you put those blades on. i had to sand the ends off.
helipilot94 3 years ago
Yup - cut the ends off :) The Trex blades are much stronger, stabiler and better balanced than the stock esky ones. Not tried the carbon ones.

hi
i have the same heli
just chek the baterry from tx to be light 3 led and more and u be ok
mpampleki 3 years ago
uhhh i dont have one of these but try flying up a bit higher.. when its low the air can bounce off the floor and walls and hit the heli....
speedstakerguy 3 years ago
This can also be noise from the main motor getting into the signal input of one of your servos.

i have the answer mate.a friend's belt did the same.
your gyro isn't connected tight enougn.clear its connections and try again

two things i think it may be, ground effect or balance, have you got the battery as far forward as it will go? does it balance from the flybar?
vanepico 4 years ago
I can´t se your antenna. Is it possibly wrapped around the landing gear or tail? In that case it could be glitches that causes the behaviour.
