  • Love it! Shirley sings Rock N' Roll! I think she should have done more of it! Emmanuel, You always have wonderful professional pictures shows; they are great! (5 Thumbs up!)

  • @sas9023055 This is an awesome song but I wouldn't quite describe it as rock and roll

  • @WallOfSound1990 - My bad! From my statement, you can tell my age. If not Rock N Roll, then how about upbeat POP. Regards, Scot

  • @sas9023055 LOL. You can call it whatever you want. :)

  • Beautiful song, beautiful lady, awesome how her voice has transcended the years.

  • Your picture/music videos are always First Rate! Thank-you so much for all your great uploads!!! (Thumbs Up for me!!)

  • @sas9023055

Thank you so much. It's a pleasure for me...

  • This song which really is evocativve of a past era of an area now covered in concrete was most recently aired in the IMAGINE series on BBC TV - I think it was BBC HD

No better voice came out of Tiger bay than that of Dame Shirely - we love her forever and we care that both her celeb self and her 'girl next door' shyness are her most endearing qualities...... As a psychologist I kinda connect to both!! Excellence comes at a devastating price - see the girl who needs no mirrored image!

  • PURE CLASS. Nicely produced on You Tube Well done.

  • What year this song is dated ?

  • @michaelmartfel 2009, this is from her first new album (with new songs, I mean) in 3 decades.

  • Tiger Bay was not just a district of Cardiff, it was a world, and a unique world, with some influence, Shirley Bassey sums it up.

  • FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!!!!!

  • not bad at all...

  • i love this song|

  • Great Song.

  • I love this womans not only voice but beauty!

  • grand - simply grand

  • An ace song by JDB and the boys, (check out the demo on here) and Dame Shirl proves she's still got it.

The arrangement by David Arnold with the strings make it sound like a Bond theme for the 21st century.

    Great stuff!

  • this is a great song by a great singer

  • no one else could sing this like her , brilliant ;)

  • beautiful song

  • Proud to be Cardiff.

  • This has just reduced me to tears, what a song, what a voice.

  • classic sounding new song....bravo!!

  • Fantastic !!!

  • Love love love!!!!!!

  • Did I think a collaboration could work between The Manics and The Dame? No. Does it? Yes, it really really does. I'm totally loving love this.

  • i just love this song, i play it over and over

  • Although I live abroad, there is a big part of my heart that will forever be associated with Wales......makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.....like the singing before a rugby game from the Millenium Stadium, or a male voice choir........Thank you for this video and photos of Cardiff.......

  • This song is amazing, it let me feel part of Tiger Bay, even though I have never been there. Shirley Bassey is an example of talent and musical inteligence. She is a diva in her age, still one of the last divas.

I wish her to keep on singing.

  • My goodness! I´m a little child again!!! Nice job, simply this... Gets me into a kind of " James Bond " mood!! ;O)

  • I really dont think this song is produced very well. Its backing track is a bit limp. Love her voice and the lyrics though. x

  • Fantastic !!! I am a fan since 1960 !!!

her voice is powerful as in the sixties .....

Artists like her are very very rare

  • @rarebear14 Well before you get to infactuated I saw Shirley Baseys sisterf In Albany road Cardiff in bargins buying bargins. Shes loaded so how come she dont look after her sis. My mum was well anoyed when I told her. If you were well off, wouldnt you look after your family I would. Thats the only reason I would want to get rich in the first place. Cardiff boy, Born in Tiger Bay 31 George Street. Ali,s

  • @siddyslim What has it got to do with you whether or not she looks after her family financially you piece of animal turd?! You don't know how her sister has treated her do you? Perhaps she enjoys shopping there? Perhaps she wants to stand on her own feet financially rather than have handouts from her sister?

  • god bless the manics

  • Great song performed by the very best artiste and montage put together professionally !! Well done....

(but she's from Splott !! Not quite the same 'ring' is it? LOL)

  • she was born in tiger bay, cardiff.she grew up in splott.

  • luv it : )

  • great song thanks

  • it sounds like a manics song

  • It was written by them, if you look at the video of this on the Graham Norton show its james Dean Bradfield on guitar.

  • the words are so clever and suitable - written, in my opinion, by the best songwriterr in the world: NICKY WIRE!!!

  • Looove this song, feel like ive known it ages when I heard it the first time!

  • forever young she will stay, top song.

  • What a Great tribute to a Great Lady. Written for her by The Manic Street Preachers.
