I have a MK 2 and wanted to put a motor from MK 3 -1.9 TDI zatsanawiam only whether it would be possible and that would give advice to do so. I would have to have an engine with a transmission? and whether this could be mounted in a MK 2? Please advice.
yeah a lot of use you were,i told you it was a gti i had , its a 1.3 golf speedo cable that one has to use, what the fuck , trying to get information out of people like you is like trying to get blood out of a fucking stone
but hey... if you weren't suchs a d1ck, I would even paste the information on which cable to use. so, just SEARCH as I did, and you will find! take care!
yeah you did you said about the money not me,any way i got about a dozen cables and not fucking one fits,so idont know what the fuck you are talkihg about
Andas à procura dos motores mesmo dos Ibizas, certo? Tu tens que mudar cablagem também, tanto quanto sei. Por isso qualquer motor dá, desde que venha com tudo. Completo. Cablagem, sensores, etc.
yeah iam useing the 02a cable change box the problem i am having is what speedo cable to use,and i am also having a problem with the rear gearbox mount i need a suitable alloy bracket any ideas
If you are using the stock cluster, use the same speedo. If you are using the Golf or Audi cluster (from the AGU engined car) use the electronic speedo sensor.
regarding the rear gearbox mount, use the one from the 02A. It will line up perfectly.
ive just had another look at the speedo cable and it is totally different the 020 cable will not fit the 02a box,the only golf 2 that came from the factory with the cable change box was the rallye/g60 so i am thinking i might have to use one of them also the engine i have came from an audi a3 and as far as i know the mounting points for the gearbox are totaly different ive tried useing the 020 mount and the 02a one but nothing lines up would one from an old passet or a mk3 golf
Ola amigo, olha estou a precisar d ajuda.
Engine mounts you use mostly just depends on which transmission you use. If you use a cable shift transmission such as 02a / 02j you will need corrado g60 or passat b3 16v front mount and trans mount (as well as the front mount bracket). The stock mk2 rear engine mount will bolt up fine.
Then you either are using a mk2 transmission (020) or it just plain isn't correct. The mount bracket on the front is quite a bit different between an 02a and an 020 transmission and that is what matters (must match transmission).
You are right, the mk2 front mount works fine, it is just the bracket that must match the transmission. You might also want to reinforce the bracket since they do tend to crack.
I think we ended up using an 020 mount one time in a mk3, we had to weld an extra bung on though for the last bolt hole, it wasn't really in the right spot. The passat or corrado mounts wouldn't line up in the mk3 so that was the only option. :)
bot nice noice- just 2 cylinders working? ;)

Sorry mate?
I don't recall asking you for money for the info, so, I'm doing this because I want to. Guess what, I had to search a lot and read loads of crap.
IF you read the posts above yours, you will see which engine mounts I used, and YES, those are the ones I used.

hi there i am curently fitting a 20vt engine code agu in my jetta 2 gti what type of gearbox did you use
badslabber 2 years ago
I used the gearbox that came with the engine. So, it's an Audi gearbox.
You just have to take into consideration the size of the axle cups. 100mm vs 108mm. You have to use the 100mm

P.S. Excelente mod k fizeste ai ;)

No modifications on the Xmember nor subframe. Nothing. All lines up perfectly!
Take a look on the comment for the engine mounts from 7months ago. They will give you plenty more information! Cheers!

Oops, i just read your mount info below! What i mean is did you change or mod the actual Xmembers/subframes at all?

Hey, what did you have to do to the engine/gearbox mounts to put the 1.8T into this model please? Thanks!

how did u start the engine?i mean did u cancel the immobilizer?
mazenitani 3 years ago
Yes, it was defeated by the chip tunner.
07rfk 3 years ago
who is the company of chip tuner that it canceled the immobilizer?
mazenitani 3 years ago
Every chip tuner will be able to do so.

This is not 100% correct. I'm using the front mk2 bracket and mount.

Well, I'm using a 02J with a 02A flywheel and a 02A starter. I'm using a 02A gearbox mount bracket and a 020 mount.
I'm using a 020 front bracket and a solid aluminum front mount. Using a 020 rear bracket and mount.
This is what I'm using, and not different. Not sure if you have tested all the options, but this is what I'm using ;)
