This was an outtake from Keith's 1988 solo album Talk Is Cheap. Hence, Steve Jordan's writing credit. The video was shot in Toronto in December 1989 and I think it was Wyman's last video with these guys.
@JohnGrant2011 Bill had one more with the group, that was 'Sex Drive' from the live album 'Flashpoint' There's actually two versions of it. One has women nude, the other doesn't. Typical Stones haha. This video is also the only video where every Stone appears by themselves in every shot. No 2 members are ever shown together. From flashpoint, 'High wire' also received a music video but I've yet to find Bill in it, which is weird because 'Sex Drive' came after 'High wire.'
@cmcmeeks I didn't know there was a video for Sex Drive! Didn't really care for that tune but I did like "Highwire" & the "Flashpoint" live LP. I even have the edition with all the 12' inch singles on a 2nd cd from 1991.
Bill for sure isn't in Highwire video though he did appear on the song. I thought he also appeared on the Sex Drive tune, too. The last 2 songs he recorded with them (until that cover tune from that tribute album this year).
@JohnGrant2011 Have you heard the new record on the Ian tribute album? I loved it a lot. It was nice to hear Bill's bass against Charlie's drums again backing up Keith's guitar.
For a long time i could not cry ,back in '89 ,untill i heard this song on the radio!!! That's why i love this song, whenever i am sad , i play this at home .
I was never a big Stones fan but this has always been one of my fav Stones songs. It epitomizes the rich soulfulness of Mick's voice (when he wants to use it) as well as his stage personna without prancing and going 'over the top'. The music is intoxicating as well.
Now I have known CHARLIE WATTS IS THE HEART OF ROCK'N'ROLL.
