Now curse of Darkness had great music. Overall it was a nice game too but it felt too linear.

Hopefully the upcoming 3-D Castlevanai title will alow more exploration as suggested in the trailers I saw for it.

I love how the castlevania series keeps it music very similar, and yet different on every game. This one has a great feel to it. I never played this one, but it's nice to know I wont be disapointed in the music department. :)

Oh, definately not. It has some of my favourite Castelevania music, which is usually reserved for the older games. You should give it a shot, but rent it first. It uses combo-based combat and is one of the few 3-d games. People either seem to love it or hate it.
