I am also convinced of the decadence of today's music. I was born in 1963 and grew up listening to good music and other artists of very different value.
@portochecco Ditto.....would that somebody could find the telecast of her when she did a USO Tour, I had it on VHS Tape but have since lost it. Its about 35 minutes long, mostly country rock.
@portochecco I was born in '77 and music has been my first love all my life. I don't know what happened, but I think that mainstream music fizzled out and finally died it's final death around 2005 or 2006. R.I.P. music.
The music from the eighties and the seventies is fantastic. I also like the 90's a lot.
I've never heard this song here before but I apparently heard "Lotta Love" when I was a toddler!
Such a blessing to have been old enough to experience these singers like Karen Carpenter,Rita Coolidge,Janis Joplin,Dionne Warwick,Linda Ronstadt,Roberta Flack,Minnie Ripperton, and many Others in the 1970s. Sadly most are gone passed away. Female singers today could learn a great deal lesson from these Female singers how it's done right with soul and spirit. It's not all about just looking like a trashy tramp and model. It's about how to sing from the soul and spirit.
Yes, Nicolette memorable. Thank you all for the kind words. Her memory makes us relive the best moments of our youth who lived in the glorious '80 years.
Unforgettable...is exactly the word to describe Nicolette....I was a young lad of 15 when I heard this stunning voice over the radio ..it had such a captivating quality about it ,that just got to you,no matter what she sung ,it was always there......
Aside from the entire song, which is almost mesmerizing, I love the very end. When the music stops, and the applause and cheering starts, she has this incredible look on her face as if she can't quite believe everyone loves the song so much.......................
When I first heard "Lotta Love" I was hooked on her as an artist. This beautiful song really shows her magical voice. I selfishly regret that she died so young.
alla gogna la Carlucci che a sanremo la presentò "poverina facciamole un applauso anche se non la conosce nessuno".....NICOLETTE la principessa della West Coast immortale x sempre!!??! Via Milly....che scivolone!!!
All I can say is, "Wow" - what a song, what an extraordinary beauty and talent. Thank God for a chance to hear this.... So very sad that she died so young. Thanks for posting this!
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Wow!!! Thanks to the person who posted this absolutely beautiful performance by Nicolette Larson. This was my absolute favorite song from the "Arthur" Soundtrack! I had the cassette and kept waiting for it to be released on CD. It never was, until last year on iTunes...and now it's gone again, but not before I got my copy!! Beautiful, beautiful voice and beautiful tune!!! Thanks again!!!
An angel. So dainty, so beautiful, with the voice from the heavens. Tear up everytime I see this video because she is gone. Thank God for YouTube keeping this incredible music alive.
I wish everyone could hear this incredible song by Nickie. One of the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I can not listen to it with out tearing up everytime. Thanks Nicolette.
@skipper8257 you're so right !!!!! I feel the same about the song and the interpretation full of a soul grieving and accepting her destiny , the arrangement , nothing's missing , It's perfect !!!!
I fell in love with the music of Nicolette when I first heard her in Neil Young's "Comes a Time". I bought all her albums for the next 10 years. I was fortunate enough to see her live in Hood River Oregon in the summer of 1989 after I had run a triathlon. She did a solo show and exceeded all expectations.
Ten years to the day of her passing my favorite male musician whom I had followed since the early 70'S also passed away . God bless both Nicolette Larson and Dan Fogelberg.
I love the music and class that both these people shared with the world. We seem to lose our greatest loves at such an early age. I don't know if you have ever heard of Eva Cassidy, she was a giant of a talent and we also lost to us way to early. She has many vidios on YouTube. Check her out. A singers singer.
I have been looking for this song for so long. I remember it on this show. It gives me the chills and brings tears to my eyes just knowing such a sweet, lovely lady with the voice of an angel has left us wanting more. R.I.P. Nicolette.
I have a crush on her. She is sexy and so naturally beautiful, and doesn't have to try. I wish she were still making music for all of us. God please bless Nicci and her daughter. Thank you for this upload, it is beautiful.
There were alot of great songs from her: The Angels Rejoiced, Two Trains, and a lullaby for her daughter that I can't recall the name right now. What a talent and a beautiful person.
I was so young when I heard this wonderful voice and song first time, I even dint know any English at all but I felt in love inmediatly ,now I'm almost 50 and the song is so brilliant so fresh and so fine delivered that shiver in spine and tears in my eyes are with me again after so many years. Bacharac & Nicoolette !! Timeless Music !!!
portochecco, thanxx so much for posting this. This was on youtube once before, but was removed. Now I won't have to hunt all over the internet to find it. A great live performance from a great singer...........
I love the unforgettable Niccolette Larson!
