That same year UK went on to win the National Championship. 3rd best team in Kentucky? Doubt it. UNC and Kansas win titles because they get great players who can and want tow ork to get even better. UK will never win a title if they continue what Cal started. If Orton, Bledsoe, and Cousins had stayed (which wasn't going to happen anyway, but theoretically) they would have been the obvious favorite, but getting all these one-and-dones who decide when they feel like being coached will never deliver a championship. Talent is the most important thing but it isn't everything. Butler proved that.

We have been to the Elite 8 three times and the Final 4 once in the last five years. 99% of college fans would take those results in a heartbeat. UL isnt a major anymore. They seemed popular in the 80's, but your the NC State now. A sweet 16 or elite 8 appearance is great for you, which is fine, but it isnt a major program. Im a UK fan but that 09 Cards team was great and got the # 1 overall seed in the tournament if Im not mistaken. The Cats didn't make it lol so I rooted for the Cards that tournament I was so dissapointed when they got upset by Michigan St I know they would have gave UNC a much better game maybe even won. Wish that would have happened I hate the tar heels .

That same year UK went on to win the National Championship. 3rd best team in Kentucky? Doubt it. Once a new season begins, it doesn't really matter what happened last season or even over the off season. Like I said about next season: "Only time will tell."

UNC and Kansas win titles because they get great players who can and want tow ork to get even better. UK will never win a title if they continue what Cal started. If Orton, Bledsoe, and Cousins had stayed (which wasn't going to happen anyway, but theoretically) they would have been the obvious favorite, but getting all these one-and-dones who decide when they feel like being coached will never deliver a championship. Talent is the most important thing but it isn't everything. Butler proved that.

Get your facts straight genius. UL has 2 recruits that are decent 2 years from now. One is a center, that isnt rated even as high as Samuels was in high school. And the other is a 34th 5 star. Seems ok, to me, definitely nothing great. Did I miss something? You know more about commitments than Pitino does? To answer your question; I'm not a big UK fan, but I pull for them a little. UNC is my team, I grew up just down the road from where they play. UK looks good this year, they may win it all if KU gets upset in March. I hope UNC beats them in a couple of weeks, but I'm not expecting it.

UL isnt a major anymore. They seemed popular in the 80's, but your the NC State now. A sweet 16 or elite 8 appearance is great for you, which is fine, but it isnt a major program. UL is rarely on national TV, and unless you live in the city, nobody cares, the fanbase is small and your student body has only seen one good year in its life. haha..you load up that team full of 2 stars and see how many parades UL has! Its an excellent recruiting tool that brings top players in by the bus loads. I guess you guys wouldnt know that cause your happy with 2 star recruits. Cant compete?? We won the whole damn thing. What dont you understand about that? You think UNC was going undefeated this year? Last time UL won the entire thing, Nintendo hadnt even come out and UL barely had a winning record while playing in a cupcake conference. Its comical that you can talk about recruits...UNC has a top 5 class every year with 5 stars that dont even see the floor. You guys go nuts when you land a 2 star. Pitino wishes he could recruit like Roy, or anything like he used to.

Your funny. One loss in November after winning the whole thing means squat. I'll take losing to Syracuse every year if it means we're the defending champ. Many players havent even seen the floor, and now everyone wants UNC's head on a platter. Some will beat us, some wont. 31-6 is ok, I guess its great for a small program with not many expectations. But unless you can do something in March, it doesnt mean shit. I dont think you throw parades for conference trinkets, i know UNC doesnt.
