  • Not like Raspberry Jam, that's why he said Redcurrant!!

  • This looks like a really tasty dish, and I look forward to making it. It looks simple enough for an amateur like me. :) Would you say you pan is very hot and you've cooked the cubed meat for about 3 minutes?

  • Respond to this video... Yes 3 mins is enough.Keep it moving on a high heat.

  • i dont understand the red current jelly what is it please

  • @TheBoofdog Its the same as red current jam. Hope this helps u

  • @tewka2003 i would assume you mean raspberry jam?

  • I had pigeon curry before. Tastes like duck curry.

  • im confused are the pidgeons in city centrres and gardens wood pidgeons that have migrated to urban living if they are same can you eat them

  • It seems that even a humble recipe on youtube is subject to an ever growing number of people who seem to have such dull fucking lives that all they can do is look up stuff to criticise on here, its ridiculous, but its just that nobody has told them and they are too fucking self righteous to realise it themselves, thank you very much for the recipe, i felt compelled to state my feelings on some of the puerile slaverings i read.

    In particular @SonOfGod3000 {a fool and clearly a tool}

    DJ Proton

  • If the civilized world ends I may have to resort to eating pigeons I shoot down on a daily basis, so what I learned from this video may be useful some day

  • Iceberg lettuce? theres no taste to iceberg, try a mixed herb and baby leaf salad, with a few toasted pine nuts sprinkled over, im sure you will be more satisfied

  • @kafernak ty for ya comments.. i just used iceburg for easyness on the vid..but have tried loads of different stuff since.. and your right..but ty all the same..

  • @tewka2003 sorry i could not here u... what kind of gel?

  • pigeon?? mind if i barf????????????

  • @SonOfGod3000 Suppose it's better than Dried Bread and Fish.lol.lol

  • @tewka2003 I'm guessing your anti semetic remark was intended for a Jew, which of course i'm not. We call pigeons street rats everybody hates them nontheless dare to eat one..but hey what some people call trash, others call food, so here's a toast to you moving up in the world and not having to scavenge for flee infested fouls of the air, hopefully one day you can afford white meat, or red, meat, and any other color it comes in other than purple..auck! you trully have my sympathy! Bon appetit'

  • @SonOfGod3000 ..there is always one on here..lol Plus if you got your facts right..Wood Pigeons do not live in the streets, they live in the country.. They are strict veggies and the meat is full of protien. Oh..and yes I get white meat..like Pheasant.Partridge, and of course the darker meat. Venison, Wild Duck. So why type something on here that you know nothing about. Go and eat ya stuff.and you can call me Son Of Robert..lol.lol

  • @SonOfGod3000 Why do some people on Youtube make themselves look so silly with an utter lack of knowledge of what they are posting about!! Ferral pigeons are indeed scabby horrid creatures known as street rats and you'd have to be starving to eat one. Wood pigeons that you see being cooked here are a tasty bird full of protein from the countryside that live on corn, peas, etc and are delicious. I have a couple to butcher and cook that I shot last night for tea and can't wait. You div!!

  • @SonOfGod3000, 6 months later...Son of God = Jesus. In the New Testament Jesus fed his people with fish and bread. Me-thinks that's the reference tewka was going for.

  • @SonOfGod3000

When someone just barf... it means a lot on his lack of capacity to maintain a civilized conversation. Let us enjoy a good pigeaon breast recipe. We'll leave you with some classic chicken.

  • @SonOfGod3000 pigeon is delicious! I thought the same thing till I tried it! It's no different then buying chicken in the store!

  • @edengate14 Mark is excellent and produces gr8 vids.

  • I shot a woody last night, im defo gna try that recipe tonight

  • @lujaha Let me know how you got on with it please.Cheers..Mike

  • so, can i go kill a pigeon from outside and cook it??? i live in the hood, its pigeons everywhere!

  • @whitetailhunta If it's a Wood Pigeon. why not.lol

  • man that looks nasty son!lol

  • @SuperBallerholic ..Yeah Whatever.lol and I aint ya son.

  • This Chap ain't wrong. Whatever you do do not over cook the Woodpigeon breasts. I use Red Currant jelly with a touch of Honey. Try it! You won't be sorry.

I am in Northants and if you want some freshly shot Woodpigeons just let me know.

  • @thepigeondoctor Will try that soon, sounds great. You guys seem to have had a good drillin down South. Pigeons here this year are well down after the severe wintering, Fingers crossed for the Harvest.

  • Can you eat city pigeons?

  • @Sammicsno I wouldnt try.( sorry )

  • melts in your mouth, not in your hands,....mmmmm looks TASTIE!!!

  • lets just say i'm a bit paranoid about having my meat cooked properly lol... would you treat pigeon like you treat chicken, or is it not as important? i see the recipe doesnt ask for a long cooking time, so i assume it is still 'rare' in the middle? not criticizing just wondering what are the protocols for food hygiene in wood pigeon breast - expand my knowledge and all :D looks bloody yummy :D

  • @Darcshadow5 Im not to keen on things being cooked to red but give it a try..you will be shocked. Another way I cook Pigeons are in a slow cooker and make a Casserole. Yummy.

  • IM SO HUNGRY WATCHING THIS

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
