the reason that you got so much mistakes wasn't cause lack of experience(all though that contributed) but it was because your fingering was wrong (gotta use that pinky man :) gj though

yeah...I have always had terrible fingering when it comes to playing the bass. Weak secondary fingers (ring/pinkie), so I end up subconsciously trying to make up for that by using my index and middle fingers more often than I should.

i like this bass line, the guy below is right though, the beginning note is indeed wrong, its like 1 fret over or somethin probably. I just know its not the same note for the first 2, i want to pick up a bass just to play bass lines pce.

And "serves the music better" is an opinion, and also dependent on genre. Primus would not have been anywhere near as successful if it was primarily about the guitar and not the bass.

And if we're talking technically here, the bass is not a rhythm instrument, the drums are.

It's the first note of the phrase. The first two notes you are playing are the same when the first note should actually be a tone higher. It's the part where Eminem sings the "So you". It's an F# on the "So" and an E on the "you" whereas you are playing E on both. If you listen to the track, you should be able to hear that the notes are different.
