Wow all your comments are from one year ago! LOL. but no matter ill ask you a question because im confuse. i was doing a small quiz and in one question where i was suppose to divide 2.0X10^4 / 6X^-3 and the answer cam out as .33 with no power of ten just .33 at least thats how the answer sheet showed it. can you tell me if this is correct?
@juanlmesl The answer is 0.33x10^7 rounded to the nearest hundredth. Having the negative exponent in the denominator moves it to the numerator as a positive exponent. Therefore to get your exponent you add 3+4=7.
im in 7th grade to but we have to learn this in sience and use it to figure out how many kilometers are in a atronomical unit, lightyear and paralax second...hard stuff
That's because they were punished very bad if they didn't pay attention. Now students do whatever they can and the teacher can't do anything about it. They need punishments back and maybe students won't behave the way they do.
but this is upsetting. it means our ancestors were able to learn this in class with complicated explanations and other people had to looked it up online where it has been dumbed down.
DjPat6, Thanks for your comment. These videos target a specific group of community college students, many of which have been away from school for some time. My goal is to provide these students with a somewhat comfortable return to mathematics hoping to advance them on to the more rigorous classroom lecture environment. I realize that these videos are not liked by everyone, but they to seem benefit the students I am targeting. Thanks again, MuchoMath
