If you care about the state of this planet, or even if you're just a self-serving, self-interested ignoramus, you'll vote for the Green Party because they are the only political party with a comprehensive, sustainable plan to grow our economy while mitigating the environmental damage wrought by human activity.

@civicnation4two I don't believe a party that recieves anywhere from 5 to 10% of each province's population in votes is considered a niche party. Also the marijuana party is a joke... literally. They are a mock party just there to make a point... that politics here are garbage. Same with the Rhino party, and the work less party etc. The Green Party is a party that exists in most modernized industrial countries today. They have a very good platform and are a ligitimate party.
It's a shame that vote didn't make it through in British Columbia. I would have liked to see the alternative to FPTP in action. It does well in other countries, and most people's criticism to it is reinforced by the fact that there is no Canadian examples of its processes and successes.

Elizabeth May does not of what she speaks. CO2 is not the cause of global warming, it is the result of increased temperatures, it does not drive it.
We are currently at 385 ppm and during the jurasic period the levels were over 4000ppm and that is why plants grew so big and strong. The result of more and bigger plants is more O2 for us and it is a win win situation. The greens have it all wrong and the Al Gores of this world are just in this for the money.

Do you know that is enough methane trapped in the permafrost of Siberia, which released in the air could cause a climate catastrophe? She spoke in front of my school last year, and then came back to my class and had sort of a one-on-one.
I honestly had never really considered the Green party until I heard what she had to say.
