  • Great job. How do I get the sheet music for this song. I'd love to lead it at our congregation (Auburn Hills Church of Christ), but I can't find the sheet music for it anywhere. It's not in our hymn book. If you know where to find the sheet music for "sanctuary" that would be excellent. Thank you

Again you did an awesome job. You helped inspire me to use my gifts God gave me to lead singing at our congregation.

  • great singing

  • Sing it, Brother!

  • Brother Tim Gramling!! I remember growing up hearing him leading this song back when he was at Westchester CHurch of Christ. Brings back memories

  • I'm sure that there is at least one instance where a male member of the church has abused his wife BUT if in fact he did he must come before the chruch and ask for forgiveness for bringing shame to the church and he then must be restored into the body of Christ. And the Church of Christ does not take from nor add to the bible as it says you should not.

  • Avalon Church of Christ! Tim Grambling leading the songs, with Bro. Hubbard in the background!

  • what an excellent song leader!

  • no where is the New testement do we see an example of people using instruments during worship. Since the old testiment was nailed to the cross we are not under the old law. Even in the old law the instruments were limited and were used very seldom in worship and they were not the focus like many relgions use them for.

  • Just happened to be looking for great singing and ran across this video. This song is rarely sung anymore. It's great to see is being sung.

  • I have another question and in no way form or fashion am I trying to be rude...but how does the Church of Christ figure that it is "the" church? Jesus, Moses, Noah, Peter, Ruth, Esther...none of those figures were Church of Christ (hence it was just formed not too long ago). So are they going to hell?

  • Moses, Noah, Ruth and Esther were not Christians. If the church of Christ is so new why is it mentioned in Romans 16:16?

  • The Church of Christ as denomination or whatever yall call it just started "organized" in 1900 and something. Atleast that's what I read somewhere. I could be wrong. But that scripture you're talking about refers to the church of christ as in churches that follow christ. That's how I interpreted it. Once again, I could be wrong. But does it really matter? As long as you believe and live accordingly...don't you get to go to heaven? Also, you didn't have to get hostile...I was just asking. :)

  • Roman 16:16

The church was established through on the day of Pentecost Acts chapter 1,2 where when were first baptized for salvation. The 11 apostles and were told to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Holy Spirit. They chose another apostle among them to fulfill scripture regarding Judas. Acts 2:38 was the record of the first "conversion" to Christ and salvation by the Lord. . buildings and names and articles of incorporation are physical items...not the establishment of THE CHURCH

  • You are correct in saying churches that follow Jesus. Show me another church that sticks to the Bible as we do nothing added and nothing Taken away as most churches do you cannot show me a denomination that that doesn't take something away or add something that they like.

  • There are NO churches that follow the Bible word for word including y'all. We ALL fall short of the glory and no one is perfect. Anyway, I'm not that fluent with other denominations that's why I ask questions. And here's another one...Is it true that church of christ men abuse their wives?

  • I Dont Know Where You Got That From, If Men Abuse There Wives There Not Being Christians, I Go To A Church Of Christ, And I Never Heard Of Anyone Doing It At My Church

  • I was trying to find my original question/comment, but I guess it got deleted. Anyway...maybe you're right. Maybe the people that I know who are church of christ..maybe abuse men is a familial trait..not a religious thing. Sorry! :)

  • are you guys one of the churches originating from Joseph Smith, Jr.

  • Comment removed

  • @zakattack97 the only Church originating from Smith is the Mormons.. We are the Church of Christ the one true Church according to the scriptures

  • Calling oneself a member of the body of Christ is saying "i am a sinner who needs Jesus to get to heaven". Just because you attend worship at a building with a certain sign on the door does not a saved person make nor does it mean you are an abusive person. I am so hurt by your comment, sorry, as a member of the church I have never known anyone to accuse of this. And of course it is not true.

  • I'm sorry, but I didn't mean to offend you.

  • the Church or the flock or the body is not an organization but a spiritual entity made up of members all over the world. It is without boundaries and has but one head Jesus (Yeshua). Israel is the chosen people to YHWH. Because of sin, sacrifice was made to remind them and roll forward sin. Only through Yeshua was sin forgiven.. Yeshua, while he was in Hades preached unto them (Israel) salvation, himself the Messiah. So the church was not established until the day on Pentecost. circa 33AD,

  • The Church Services In The Old Testament Where Totally Different Than The New Testament... For Instances They Had To Scarifice Animals To Have Their Sins Forgiven,.... The New Testament We Have Christ As Are Scarifice, He Bore The Sins Of Man Upon Him

  • Listen "Church of Christ" doesn't make since to me. You don't play music but in Psalms it talked all about that. You also believe women should keep silent in church...well if they are suppose to keep quite; do you allow them to sing, read the announcements, say hallelujah or anything because SILENCE means-absence of any sound or noise. so yeah and they are more churches mentioned in the new testament too.

  • you speak of the book of Psalms. that book is in the old testament, we dont follow worship services in the old testament, we should follow the new testament, no the women dont do anything during worship, except for sing acapella like this video

  • First point, singing acapella still means they are not in silence. Second of all read Acts 2:17 and 1 Corinthians 11:5. where is says that women can pray and prophesy as long as they have their head covered. oh yeah thats in the new testament.

  • The whole object of the scriptures was to place emphasis on worshiping without confusion. A woman is equal in the kingdom of heaven but she does not have an authorized leadership role in the worship service over the men, but the older women is instructed to teach the younger woman her duty to Yah first and then her husband. Remember the woman is subject to her OWN husband, not the men of the church......

  • Everything in context of scripture. David also danced naked before the lord.....But the church does not, and should not teach a doctrine of itself. Only should it teach of Jesus and the examples left, and instruction from the apostles. Worship is known to have five elements recorded, singing, praying, preaching, giving and communion. The disciples gather for these thing upon the first day of the week which was their common meeting day according to what they had done when Christ was with them

  • You have a good voice love it.

  • I go to a "Church Of Christ" in Mishawaka, Indiana.... We started at my uncles house for worship and we were there for 2 years and we had enough money to get a loan for a church we wanted and we got one in mishawaka, indiana. We believe in singing and no instruments, we preach, teach, do communion every sunday, have opening prayer, closing prayer, scripture reading.. We are silent were the bible is silent and speak where the bible speaks. My church is very sound doctrine.

  • Please post more!

  • Excellent

  • There is only one true Church, the Church of Christ, the only one and true New Testament Church, its written in the bible.

  • Actually that's not true. In Revelations churches were named based on the location. And if you read 1 Thessalonians 2:14 it makes mention to another church. So read your word for yourself!!!

  • Hey, if y'all sing Lead me to Calvary, can you post it please? I think people call it different things so here are some of the lyrics:

King of my life, I crown thee now.

    Thine shall the glory be.

Lest I forget thy thorn-crowned brow,

    lead me to calvary.

    Lest I forget, Gethsemane.
