0:18 through 0:24 what is that called cause that is way diferent from what i do is there a way you could make a video to show me how to do that plz and thank you
soxjohnny the bottle shape is just about the toughest thing you can throw. For this shape it would be really imperative to bring up a good deal of clay to form the top. A lot of it has to do with the efficiency of your pulls, I also noticed the demo here was with the wheel at a very fast speed for forming the top, so easy to have your finger snag and it's all over. Cutting the top off with a knife seems amazingly hard, but just practice. The "P" word applies to all skills.
ive made 9 or 10 of these in the past 2 0r 3 days and i cant seem to get it right.... the shape looks fine in all mine but wen i cut in the clay is so thick and wen i pull it the clay is just as thin as i want it do u no wut im doing wrong? im thinking it may have to do with me closing it up cause sometimes the middle starts to fall in and i push on the outside to bring it back up.... any tips? by the way great videos ur really gifted

can you make a video showing, in greater detail, of the creation of these kinds of pots? one that doesn't have the time lapses.
Wonderfully done, excellent design and creation!

@MasterlessGamer1 Hi I did a video overhead of my pulling and lifting.
Try typing in "Pulling and Lifting " into the search box and you might find it.
Cheers.

Make sure you let the pot dry out quite a bit before you trim it.
Use bats if you can..
Then if the clay is too thick you can trim it down to as thin as you like before you make the cuts.
Try to leave too much clay at the top before you close it in then you don't need to make it too thin and it won't collapse.
Just keep on practicing and you'll get there in the end.

Is that colored slip you are using? I see you use it in a couple vessels. The design is very interesting!
