It really depends on how you look at or define the word "credit" in this case. I think Skip is defining credit as who is responsible for turning this franchaise into a winner again, and that's 100% Jim Harbaugh, various coaches with relatively the same players had done a mediocre job while Harbaugh excelled with just a few key additions. If you define "credit" here, as who's responsible for their record and postseason success, then no it's not 100%, Harbaugh isn't a one man team...
I totally agree with Skip Bayless. This is why Jim gets all the credit. Without Jim the 49ers are 6-10 this year, for sure. If you give Jim ANY combination of players--he will make them contenders. He proved it in College and he's proved it in the NFL. Put Jim ANYWHERE with ANY player combo and they will be winners. You can't teach that type of leadership--it's just born in him.
The team was extremely talented, and played well for the two years prior. They lost many close games (5 games by 3 points or fewer) in 2010. I think the Harbaugh helped them succeed, by making the players believe in themselves, and providing a system that was more effective than singletary's. Kudos to everyone doing their job heroicly. The 49ers players deserve credit for believing in themselves and trusting the system.
Harbaugh deserves a lot. I have been a fan of Alex since 2003, and the family atmosphere he brought is the same atmosphere the Utes use. Just watch out for these Niners in the next few years.
Rob Parker doesn't know shit!!! He predicted that the Saints will win against the 49ers, but that nigga was wrong. ESPN should kick him off of the set.
Take a look at what Jim did at Stanford. Took a horrible dead last team and made them into a BCS team. Yes Andrew Luck helped out a lot, but he recruited someone like him. The 49ers with the same players who went 6-10 turned it around because of Harbaugh. I don't know what he does during practice, but this guy gets results. As a player he got the mediocre Colts one play away from the Super Bowl in 1995. Just like brother John they take mediocre teams and make them good.
jim harbaugh gets mad kudos for inspiring and showing alex smith how to be a man in this game of men...that pretty boy college shit dont work in nfl...alex ballin like a beast this year
I died a little Saturday..........but that's how we play on the road. One W away from a superdome but I can say their defense is great but we beat ourselves...........congrats to the 49ers. They will probably win it all
see the way i figure it is...if u can take the 49ers to the championship with alex smith as QB, thats hella impressive! i say 85% credit, there D was always tough, he just uses alex smith to do what he is allowed to do. and what his skill level can do.
I'm going 95% because Skip is right with any other coach they would have went 6-10 again Jim Harbaugh did a fucking great job wish he coached the Titans.......
God loves me!!!
Jim Harbaugh was one of my favorite quarterback and now he's taking over my favorite team!!!
