  • one dislike=lebron james

  • I loved both these teams! Nothing like it now

  • At the half, the vibe at the United Center was skittish. Some of the other posts hit the nail right on the head. It was beautiful, intense defensive teamwork (as well as Jud Buschler's timely contributions) that sparked the team.Of course, MJ kicked it in during crunch and when the chants started "MVP, MVP..." toward the end of the game...phew..it was a goose bumps moment that really resonated deep down. Thanks for the vid and the memories.

  • Thanks for posting this Great Game vid. At the time, this was viewed as the true NBA Championship matchup and the long awaited rematch. I was at this game, sec. 109 and saw Shaq tear it up in the first half after MJ rec'd the MVP. Bulls lose this game, they would lose home court and head to Orlando. Who knows what would have happened.

  • Incredible the difference between the Magics a team young and weak mentally, and the Bulls an experienced team with a strong mentally. The lesson against the Rockets wasn't enough for the Magics....

  • How beautiful were the blistering fast double team plays the Bulls used to stop Shaq! Also at 8:09 and 8:18 Rodman and Jordan OMG!

  • 6:39 That defense man!

  • 5:28 That defensive play man!

  • Hardaway was so good, why he faded away? 4:40 Time for the Bulls to raise the intensity level to where only them could reach!

  • Last words on the entire video...."For a win, I'll take it..." WHERE IS THIS IN THE NBA THESE DAYS!?!?!?!?

  • @BigCrockDawg Making adjustments at half-time to counter adjustments the other team made over two days of practice. THAT'S what's missing from the NBA today--even from its champions.

  • 5:19 Oh Hell no !

  • 1996 was the shit maaan

  • Chapter 29 - Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne

  • That Defense..smh.

  • Mike just accepted the MVP like it was nothing.

"Ah, I expected it. Let's move on."

  • @rangerthree sorry kareem is def an alltime great but if ur just looking at stats jordan is the most efficient player in nba history followed by shaq

  • u dont need to say that MJ > Kobe, everyones knows that but Scottie Pippen > Kobe as well

  • This Orlando team was a beast in the east, but even with Shaq couldnt get the job done against Jordan.

  • If memory serves, the Bulls have beaten the most number of 60 win teams on their way to 6 championships.

  • '96 Bulls, a team of ass kickers. '96 Magic, a team of asses.

  • I get chills every time they scored. What team can you think does that?

  • @SBXXChampions are you telling us that bulls basketball gave u multiple orgasms?

  • @MrYoyoma33 uhhhh. no? weird you would think of that.

  • @SBXXChampions ok. just weird how a game does that to you. and even weirder why youd be filling us in on that fun fact. Keep your erotic fantasies to yourself, scooter. p.s., your tagname even looks like SEXXX at first glance so dont blame me for buying into your overt sexual innuendo. If u want a piece of jordans big black cock in your mouth just say so.

  • @MrYoyoma33 chills doesnt necessarily mean orgasm. so everytime someone steps out in the cold they get an orgasm because the cold weather gives them chills? i dont think so. i didnt mean any sexual reference so you can shut up. childish thing u brought up sex on bulls video. if u interpreted as a sexual reference, im sorry, but thats not what i meant. and my name means Super bowl 20 Champions. not sex...

  • @SBXXChampions chills caused by atmospheric weather conditions is totally different than the physiological reactions (chills, boner) you have to seeing hot sweaty black men bump and grind on a wooden floor in the heat of competition. so dont even try to defend urself by comparing it to cold weather you closet homosexual.

  • @MrYoyoma33 Think what u want. God knows I'm not. So, if He knows, I wouldn't doubt Him. But once again, believe what you want.

  • @SBXXChampions great, use the religion card to justify your wicked fantasies. The world only believes what you will advertise to it. Thumbsup if you think SBXX is dying to come out fo the closet right here on Youtube Nation

  • @MrYoyoma33 once again, believe what u want. if u think im gay, cool. but im not. i wont try to affect your opinion. and 8 hours ago..... shudnt u b at school or work instead of picking on me?

  • @MrYoyoma33

    Lol

  • WAs dat One of the Nasty Boys from WWF/E at 5:19?

  • MJ made a bunch of bench role players into champions!!!!!

Kobe would rather score 50 and lose than 49 and win...selfish player

  • @ugotpimp And you're one stupid person.

  • Sadly, this series was over when Horace Grant got injured in game 1. :(

  • @magnumcornetto PLEASE..........this series was over at the tip-off in Game 1.

  • @deadmansgulf Not really. Orlando was playing very strong until Horace Grant went down with an injury in Game 2. They were never the same after that. If not for that injury to Grant, the series would've been a lot closer.

  • @deadmansgulf AGREE LMAO!

  • 7:38 LOL I LAUGHED HARD WHEN I SAW THIS PART XD look at his face, wtf we were up by 15 now we losing XD!!!

  • No lead was safe against that Bulls team because once they clamped down on defense the other team couldn't score enough points to keep the lead.

  • I would put Chicago's defense against any of the great teams of the 80s Lakers, Boston, or Philly. When they wanted to they would just shut a team down.

  • Rodman's putback at 8:09 was obviously goaltending. And by the way Jordan didn't play that good in this game. He was 9 for 21 from the field. The only reason the Bulls won this game was because the refs bailed him out and put him on the line 16 times.

  • @kennygriff24 um i watched this game live and have the full thing on tape...and your wrong about the refs bailing them out, its called team defense and not giving up, something you wont see in today's NBA

  • @kennygriff24 sour grapes get over it!!!!

  • @kennygriff24 LOL.....keep telling yourself that....grasp at those straws

  • @deadmansgulf In all seriousness I'm just trying to make up an excuse for the Magic. I know the Bulls were better and I know that MJ is hands down the greatest of all-time, but at the end of the day I can't deny my love for Penny. And in a situation like this I can't help but make excuses him and his team.

  • killer move at 8:18 !!

  • 5:19 that can't be real hair.

  • @jaronious89 the sad thing is that is probably is

  • Shaq disliked this video

  • Huge steal by Pippen at 5:30 !

  • Shame that these games can't be had in HDTV.

  • it is so great watching MJ every time..he scored 35 points and you would say "ok another day in the office.". He made outstanding games look like routine games.

  • 8:17

on of the 2 most unstoppable fade aways in the history of basketball. and the difference is Jordan can go both ways while Olajuwon is unstoppable going to his right shoulder especially towards the baseline

  • Comment removed

  • Love & miss the way Da Bulls would suffocated & take the other teams heart away. Teams nowadays lack this killer instinct they resort to this weak ass flopping and cry at every possible minute to the refs to bail them out it's pathetic to watch.

  • BULLS' HELP DEFENSE IS SICK!!

  • Comment removed

  • The best part of this video is only a second long at 5:19.

  • "Nasty Boy" Brian Knobbs 5:20. I thought he was a magic fan,

  • Stan Van Gundy sighting at 6:54.

  • i kno i might get bashed for it but kobe n jordan are mirror images when its komes to how they pay right even down to how they walk after a foul...fade away the whole 9 ..i hate kobe but respect his game,,,,and as far a jo i was a pip fan lol but jo n kobe straight beast they kan be havin a horrible shootin game 2 mins eft they turn it up krazy

p.s pippen is da man too lol had to add dat

  • kOrOne79, I love playing basketball. I'm simply 5'9 and I am able to dunk! I simply took this special jump training program at 50 inch vertical (dot) com - you can probably do it too

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID# blah man, this vid is why I watch NBA perhaps even with its flaws. I'm following this workout course that's used by NBA players - 50inch vertical[dot]com - I'm already jumping higher and leading my team on the court!

Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls | 1996 Playoffs | ECF Game 2: The great escape

  • kOrOne79, yo that is sick. That's spurting from a 5 6 PG who finish alley dunks. I used the nba training program at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and increased past 14 inches on my leap.

Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls | 1996 Playoffs | ECF Game 2: The great escape

  • get rodman to hof damn the guy deserves it

  • Tony Kukoc :)

  • Horace Grant was such a sell out back then. Where is that bum now ?

  • without scottie pippen mj would've never won those championships and vise versa...

  • @teeoak Yes, he would because he is the greatest!

  • I love MJ...but Scottie earned the MVP just as much as MJ did. Michael needed him more in the second 3-peat.

  • @cornrow2 Haul ass...MJ avg the most points and he got the highest scoring avg in NBA playoff history...MJ does not need Scottie!

  • @Domini478 How many did he win without Scottie again? I forget. Didn't Scottie get within 1 quarter of the NBA Finals without Mike in 2000? Oh..wait he did? Oh.

  • @cornrow2 Everybody need help! Magic had Kareem, Isiah had Dumars, and Larry had Mckale....Scottie had plenty of help on the Blazers, ole dumb bitch! He had veterean players like Detlef and Rasheed Wallace! MJ didn't have no help in Washington and your dumb ass know that!! btw, Scottie avg 12 points without Mike because he wasn't good enough! MJ is the greatest!

  • @Domini478 Let's refrain from insulting please. Thank you. In 1995 Scottie Pippen was a legitimate MVP candidate. All I'm saying is that Scottie doesn't get enough credit.

  • @cornrow2 in 1995 pippen missed a couple games due to suspension for throwing a chair in the middle of the court. the bulls for the most part that year were barely over .500. Until March when MJ came back bulls went 14-3 after his return, before his return the bulls were fighting to make the playoffs, bulls finished in 4th place in the east. Pip needed MJ more than MJ needed pip

  • @sopa71479 That's the season after they lost Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright. 93-94 season was proof Pip was a true superstar on his own. The two needed each other.

  • @cornrow2 the did need each other, MJ would never have had the team successed that he enjoyed if it wasnt for Pip and Pip in return would never have been the player that he came to be if it wasnt for MJ's influence

  • I don't agree with the first part i do think MJ would of made it because of his fierce desire. MJ could of forced any player that was put next to him 2b what pippen was made in2 granted pippen in himself was good it was MJ that took that great out of him every year MJ nurtured him & u could see him get better every year then his heart caught up. He finally got tired of players & MJ beating him up so he let it out in his game & all the other teammates didn't matter they were interchangeable.

  • One thing that separates MJ from today's pretenders is that he can destroy you offensively and he can destroy you defensively.

  • any1 notice shaqs for on the freethrows 3:24?

  • damn..... Jordan, Pippen, Harper and Rodman enjoys palming the ball, we dont see that as much in the NBA now.

  • Jordan and Pippen were defensive monsters. That even impress me more than their offense.

Two greatest perimeter defenders ever! Dobermans:-)

  • Jordan never looks small

  • What a dandy game the Chicago Bulls played..........lol

  • Jordan is a beast. Kobe has great moves but Jordan is a beast. He just gets the job done. Greatest ever. Who can argue this?

  • Aside from STATS and ACCOMPLISHMENTS...another thing that MJ has that Kobe doesn't have is. The Paybacks and the Proofs..what's this? Paybacks--- The BULLS swept Orlando in this series. Proofs-- MJ and the Bulls had beaten teams with proven HOFamers and Beat Utah 2x in a finals. So far Kobe can't really claim that he had beaten a Who's who in basketball. Who can argue this?

  • @hoovinc: well,Phila had iverson and mutombo, indiana was good overall and nj had kidd....these are hall of famers but these teams compared to 97&98 utah or the mid 90s knicks are a joke.

  • That's a ridiculous statement. You know how many future hall of famers are in today's league?

  • @hoovinc well he got payback this year against the celtics.. has to count for something

  • @hoovinc Didnt he beat a Celtics team with 3 future hall of famers, a Thunder Team that has Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan a future hall of famer, Steve Nash a future hall of famer, Dwight Howard...etc.. Im not saying he is better than jordan but do not dimnish Kobe's accomplishments

  • @hoovinc Kobe beat a team in the finals with 3 HOF with Allen, Garnett, and Pierce. And that was ALSO a payback from 2008. Another payback was the 2010 WCF when they beat Phoenix. It was a payback from the '06 and '07s 1st round matchups. 2004 was another payback year. The Lakers defeated the Spurs after they beat them the prior year. 2001 against the Spurs from 1999 was another example. So Kobe has Paybacks and proofs.

  • @clutchcity25 first lakers had just lost shaq and this phoenix team was way different weak as for boston well the refs stole game 7 but the bulls swept detroit orlando in payback match ups and they were very good teams not like phoenix and jordan would never be swept like kobe this year vs mavs and la was supposed to win another title for mj and pip thats all they did is win titles kobe has lost 2 finals the whole kobe argument is weak he is nowhere close to the goat

  • @JayT98

What are you talking about kobe has great moves? All of kobe's moves are from jordan.

  • @iishyxvietxboyii

thats 100% the truth. Kobe has ripped michaels game and mannerisms every which way. he wants to be Michael in every way

  • @JayT98 I can. Kareem was the greatest player ever. He had more points AND assists than Jordan over his career. Yes... a Center had more assists than Jordan in the NBA. I n fact the only category in which Jordan led Kareem was steals. Kareem won as many rings as Jordan against tougher competition. Sure, things would have been different if Jordan hadn't taken time off, but since when does being a quitter make a guy the greatest. Sorry fanboys, but it's easy to argue.

  • @rangerthree agreed with rangerthree. In other news, Rangerthree's girlfriend was raped and impregnated by a rabid pack of stampeding bulls while touring the streets of Pamplona.

  • @JayT98 no one. jordan was also a cultural phenomenon who changed the face of sports forever. also, michael became quite a trash talker after being harassed by detroit and nyc. kobe is not.

  • @JayT98 simple and straight to the point.

  • @JayT98 I can argue this! But I won't cuz Jordan IS the greatest of his era and in recent history. GOAT-in recent history. Who knows? Maybe b-ball was played by adam and his sons and they were even more beast than jordan... and then the game was lost and re-invented by Naismith... who knows? :) Subscribe!

  • Thia game was painful in the 2nd half.

  • Defence wins championships.

  • they held them to 21pts in the 2nd half mj had more pts then the magic did. lol in the 2nd half.

  • super man went in at half time and put his cape on and took off and took over mj the best...

  • pay backs!!!!!!!

  • 8:20 wow

  • I felt bad for anyone who had the unpleasant task of guarding MJ cause he destroyed every shooting guard and small forward on the Magic at one time or another in this game.

  • Classic Shit! I Was Around When This Was Goin On.

  • Check out the mullet at 5:19

  • LOL that thing is nasty

  • Anybody who wants to teach their kids how to play D just needs to show them the 2nd half of this game. Pip and MJ just DESTROYED the magic defensively.

This is why Pip is one of the greatest ever - he was a floor general, always doing what was necessary.

  • 72-10...no one could stop the Bulls that season. Wonder if that record wil ever be broken?

  • ndnsoldierboy: the more the years go by, the more I doubt it will ever be broken. the 07-08 Celtics came closest to breaking it with a 66-16 record but good thing it wasn't enough to break it!

  • The 2000 L.A. Lakers and the 2007 Dallas Mavericks both went 67-15 but only one of them won an NBA Championship.

  • That's because only one of them played defense, The Lakers. The Mavericks don't play defense. Once they go cold offensively, that's a rap.

  • Thanks for the videos. These are great!

  • bulls showed no mercy w/ their defense

  • wow, they just choked...

  • some great ass defense.....

    wow

  • hard to watch them collapse like that

  • God after seeing this I remembered how much Nick Anderson sucks.

  • That defense that the Bulls had was just amazing. The Magic were beat and man the thing is when you have weakness at point guard it shows because there is no offensive sets that are run and usually as a end result you see a lot of turnovers. man I miss the days of that Pippen-Jordan trap that was so great against a lot of pick and rolls back in the day. People say that they were a one man team that is a lie.

  • Who's that little annoying man standing next to Michael?

  • Craig Sager? the interviewer? hes almost 6'4 :D

  • oh how i miss this so freaking much

  • That Chicago press was stifling. They weren't as good at it as the first 3-peat team. But when they had to turn to it, well, you can see in this vid how lethal it was. Orlando just didn't have enough ballhandlers outside of Penny. The Bulls realized that and feasted on it.

  • derrick rose might be the next big thing for chicago Since JORDAN

  • penny hardaway, easily would be top 50 greatest right now. those who watch this series saw him not only school pippen at times but also mj! M FREAKING J got punk'd by penny on more then one occasion. oh what could have been...

  • one of the best games i have ever seen in the nba

  • **Giving me goosebumps**

  • got tears in my eyes

  • miss the old nba..sighs!!

  • he's simply the BEST, EVER !!!!

Kobe, Lebron, etc ... hahaha let me laugh.

NBA is definately dead after MJ's retirement !!

  • Ah, the league's not dead, man... come on. =)

Far and away the best, though. Light years away.

  • 爱国热额

  • Noone has ever said that better!!

  • sic mullet at 5:19

  • Jordan's mental toughness seperates him from any other all-time greats. he simply refuses to lose.

  • The Bulls were men among boys.

  • i liked the old chicago stadium more

  • ofcourse he was better in first free peat.... but he still was the best .... 1984-93 32.6 at about 52% and in 1995-98 29.3 at 48 % ...

  • mj vs bird=mj

    mj vs magic=mj

    mj vs isahah=mj

    mj vs drexler=mj

    mj vs barkley=mj

    mj vs oneal=mj

    mj vs malone=mj

sheaat. and the list goes on

  • this was all pippen the defense he pulled today awesome

  • HAHA Orlando having a lead at half time and they still lost the game

  • A Team of Destiny.

  • Holy crap! Thanks for putting this one up. I like how you edited it to show the amazing defense of MJ and Pippen. Goddamn. That reminded me of what it felt like to be playing against the college kids when I was in eighth grade.

  • WTF! shaq hitting free throws!

  • has there ever been a player so completely under control of everything he does as Michael Jordan? unreal

  • "emily"--No one worked harder. Notice also, though, that he also got many questionable calls, particularly down the stretch in his career. He didn't win his sixth title with exclamation points, as Jalen Rose's suspension was completely unfair.

Also, Dominique got ripped off by the judges in Chicago in '88. Dominique was about even with Jordan offensively.

  • Our basketball talent is far superior than anyone else's; we just need players to play the right way. Many players from other countries just try harder on and off the court than some of the guys we've sent over there.

Dominique Wilkins should've been on the first Dream Team.

By the way, I love how the NBA is getting drilled now by this ref. The league has had credibility issues for two-plus decades now. Remember the 'Nique-Bird game from '88? Kevin McHale was going to the line WAY too much

  • dominique was too busy rehabbing from a season ending injury in 1992

  • "sopa"--I think he could've played by that point. He deserved to make it, anyway, just from a commemoration standpoint.

Your tone almost makes light of the situation, which isn't good, and "rehabbing" isn't a word.

  • I have a few of MJ's games from the 1996 playoffs...check 'em out if you'd like...more to come in the future

  • Hi-- Do you have Game 2 between Chicago and Orlando from 1996? I love the third-quarter comeback the Bulls showed, as they trailed by 18 at halftime. Did you watch Game 6 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Bulls and Magic? That game was one of the greatest ever. Are you from Chicago? Many will disagree, but I think the Bulls were better in their first three-peat.

  • You do realize the video on this very page is the Game 2 against Orlando you're asking about, right?

  • "foremily23"--Yes, I do, but I was wondering if you had the entire game.

I watched parts of this video last night and was pleased to see the key parts I was looking for--particularly Jordan's three early in the third quarter.

That night, I had just gotten home and had turned the TV on right on that play. When Chicago got the rebound, I could tell from the crowd reaction that they were losing. When Jordan drilled the shot, I LOVED the crowd/Jack Haley reaction and the in-the-present-feel.

  • yeah, I have the entire game, but I don't like putting whole games up on YouTube...sorry dude

  • I'll take Grant and Paxson over Rodman and Harper. MJ was better during the first 3-peat also.

  • One thing in common: They all won at least three championships. I think that what they did in the second three-peat was incredible as well (most of the starters in the mid-to-late 90's were past 30).

  • where that gm 3? lol. this is just one of my favoite series and i cant find these games on youtube. do u have the full games recorded and just cut it urself? if so why not post the entire gms?

  • Game 3 & 4 will be posted as well. I got the full games but have no intention to built a library ala NBAclassics. Editing is fun and as long as my edits appeal to you guys, I will proceed with them.

  • will appreciate it if u do upload the full games.

I was still very young den and din get to catch MJ's perfomances as much as I would like to.

Perhaps it'l be a great opportunity for young chaps to catch a few more glimpse of His Airness? :)

  • And as far as Euro influences. You wanna take a guess who James Naismith is? There wouldn't be the NBA without him who is the son of Scottish immigrants. Most of the players in the NBA without him would be gang bangers or criminals. Like Carmelo of Lebron. BTW, Americans arent' even the best at basketball anymore. Just check out recent international competition where the US team got it's ass kicked so bad and had to use lame ass excuses.

  • There are some valid reasons why the USA lost on the international stage. First of all, they didn't even send their best squad to the tournament. Partly, because some of the superstars decided to recover from the NBA season over the summer months. And then there's the arrogance that comes with constant domination over decades. The US team didn't take their opponents seriously and tried to win at idle speed, which reminds me a lot of the Brazilian soccer team during the World Cup 2006 in Germany.

  • Last but not least, the way refs call the game internationally. The NBA pampers it's superstars, they get used to it and fail to adjust when they're confronted with internatinal rules. Now that they got embarrassed, I expect them to play a lot better in upcoming tournaments.

  • About the euro influences, to each of his own I guess. I don't care if the end results are in the low 80s or 70s as long as the game is competitive and fair officiated. No free throw parades. It's no coincidence that, with the increasing amount of international players, there's more and more flopping, acting and whining around the league. I know these guys are fundamentally sound and whatnot, but the negative aspects outweighs the positive by far in my opinion.
