@sebaclublife The steering column broke as a result of the accident, not the cause of it. Many people think this but it is incorrect. It was a whole slew of problems that led up to his terrible fatal crash. Ayrton was indeed the greatest!
@goesfastandfar There's more than enough evidence the steering column caused the accident and very little evidence it broke after impact. Don't believe the brainwash NatGeo and Williams try to impose on the public...
F1 is boring these day's , none of the drivers have any real character , the glorly day's were the 1980's and 90's , RIP Senna , you were the best ever.

@TagPillay I'll finish for you... Williams were fortunate as Schumacher received numurous disqualifications and race bans as the Benneton team were trying to cut the FIA's regulations very fine in search for performance. As a result, Williams won the '94 constructor's championship with Schumacher winning both the '94 and '95 driver's championships for Benneton. F1 NERDS UNITE!
@AyrtonSennaFan97 'lousy' doesnt really reflect on what are some of the best mechanics in the world. I'm just glad they moved to renault engines rather than the lousy cosworths.
0:54 this was only the second or third time there'd ever been a safety car period (full course caution) in a Grand Prix...spectators clearly not sure what's going on.
Aside from the death of Gilles Villeneuve, the accident that killed the great Ayrton Senna was perhaps the saddest day EVER in motorsports history. They will both be remembered ALWAYS in our hearts!!!
I think and It's true: Senna was the best F1 champion of all time, but in that race he just didn,t have luck. Senna, you was the best, you are the best, and you will be the best :D
y la carrera continuó, escondiendo la FIA la muerte de Ayrton, lamentable para la formula 1 que amamos, pero no de esta forma..... Willimas: KILLER, todavía deben explicaciones TODA LA FORMULA 1, TODA
Just watched the Senna DVD (it's brilliant would recommend it to anyone) but it said when he got up he read a passage in the bible saying that god would give him the greatest gift if all... God himself. Now he read that passage on the same day he died... And I don't believe in coincidences and I also know what killed him but...
Maybe something that relieves the pain, he died in his greatest passion. I'm born in 1996, i've never seen Senna racing in real life but for me.. he's a real legend. After that crash, F1 changed.. It wil never be the same. I want I could turn the time.. Just only to see Senna racing... :'(
Sometimes I think he was assassinated. But if he was or wasn't, it doesn't matter, he didn't race the ammount he wanted, but still he is the greatest racer of all time. So if somebody wnted his death, yes you accomplished it, but he is still better than you dead than you alive.
@UweZero But then you have to think.By who?And why? There was no reason for him to be assassinated in the first place. There's simply no motive.Might as well say that Ratzenberger was murdered as well.
@FlyingBoxHead yes, WE had no reason to kill him. But some people did. Some people didn't like the way he questioned the rules of F1, and the way he wanted justice in and out of the tracks... many stories... many stories... just watch the Ayrton Senna documentary.
@UweZero Not enough to take a life, still. He questioned the the regulations as much as the other drivers,he was just the only one they would probably listen to,and did at times.
The thing i struggle to grasp with this video is that the person is watching the race, its a normal sunny day, and they dont know whats about to happen to the greatest driver ever, and theres nothing anyone can do to change what happened...mind blowing!
@polosports8462 You think Prof Sid Watkins didn't know what he was doing? If someone has a major accident you don't just scoop them up and shove them in an ambulance straight away.
@polosports8462 Their "fault"? How was it their fault? How disrespectful. They did everything they could to save Senna's life, but his injuries were not survivable. Prof Sid Watkins was his friend; are you even aware of his credentials?
i was a very yound kid during this crash havent said that after the death of senna there a lot of safty features in formula one now i would say legacy follows even after the death of formula ones greatest driver of all time thats Aretton senna from Brazil
@Olbaable Do you blame Imola? It was considered on of the safest tracks, if you want to know why 2 drivers died you should have a look at those cars, no suspension retaining system (what could have saved Senna), no HANS device (what could have saved Roland), cockpit open to the shoulders, flat bottom etc. Those crashes could have happened in so many other tracks: Sao Paulo (last curve), Motnreal (where Kubica crashed in 2007), Adelaide (where Hakkinen crashed in 1995)...
@DjDelli My cousin said the same thing about this day "That day Formula 1 died for me". And he passed away 2 years ago, he reminds me of Senna, and Senna reminds me of him.
@telefoonism i used to believe this too, but then i thought, why dont we see anything in his helmet from all the footage there is of the after math of the crash?? also have you seen the size of the hole in the helmet? its tiny
@wo0dy1 Senna had 3 different head injuries in this horrible crash. - one was the tire which hit him in the face, 2nd: the force of the snap of his head against the car cracked his skull behind from ear to ear 3rd : he was hit by the suspension from the wheel which went straight through his visor, in the temple/above eye area (like a bullet)..now any of these injuries ALONE would have killed him...together he had zero chance! - sad way to lose such a legend..must have been unbelievably painful.
@wendel88 im not doubting any of that, i remember seeing it live and it was just mental. i guess its one of those things, theres 2 reasons to 'accept' for the crash, 1 the steering arm or 2 the car bottomed out, both have been bounced about more times than anthing both dismissed and both seen plausible. its one of them things which in the end the result was the worst thing and that was the death of a great man. horrid weekend in total.
@DIONE821 No, it was not a guilt of the track, F1 back then was insanely unsafe. The same crash could have happened in many other tracks, San Paolo and Montreal just to mention some. In 1994 the drivers had cars with open cockpits, leaving the shoulders uncovered, no HANS device, no suspension retain system (what killed Senna was this in fact).
@DIONE821 That crash could have happened in almost all the other 1994 F1 tracks, even in your Sao Paulo at the last curve where a big wall was waiting for the cars coming at 220 km/h. Senna crashed at 186 km/h, many drivers escaped from worse crashes. I'd consider better the total lack of safety of those cars. We must not remember, in 1994 there were no driving aids with 3500cc engines, true rockets with bare control... sadly with those rules it was a matter of time...
@reading70 MEU AMIGO, EU SOU UM BRASILEIRO ENTRE 170 MILHÕES, QUE ATÉ NO DIA DE HOJE, NÃO ACEITA A MORTE DE AYRTON SENNA PORQUE TODOS NAQUELA EPOCA, FOMOS TESTEMUNHAS DAS PARTES RICAS DA FORMULA 1 QUERIAM QUE AYRTON CORRESSE NAQUELE DIA ONDE UM BARRICELLO SOFREU ACIDENTE E OUTRO MORREU NO SABADO. VENDO TUDO ISSO ACONTECER, NINGUEM TOMOU PROVIDENCIAS COMO ELE QUERIA. E SO PARA CORRIGIR AYRTON SENNA BATEU A 274 KM/H E A 186 KM/H. MALDITOS ITALIANOS QUE FIZERAM ISSO.
@DIONE821 You really must retire your last sentence, do you think we have killed Senna? Then I could say that Malaysia is guilty for the death of Simoncelli, this makes nonsense. Senna was a F1 Hero, absolutely the best and We still love him. But the true guilties are who allowed to repair in that way a steering wheel column, who allowed a F1 car of just 500 kg with 750 hp and no safety at all, no suspension retaining system and a widely open cockpit.
@shrapnelV Well that's great logic. Why exactly would "god" do that? And what evidence are you basing that on? Hitler was still fairly young when he died. Was that "god's" plan, too? Dunce.
@MrThreshold2009 haha you put a big smile in my face, how its so easy....just play the hook and some fish bite. But i can see cleary that you are a small one so i don't have motivation to waste time...but everyone understands what deserves to, you could never get the point a few people could. Man they just go away, god take for many reasons, some did what had to did early in life and some don't use the talent for the reason that should be used....
Responder a este vídeo... don't and never ll exists evidences for things like this. And you speaking like a fat black woman taking advantage shaking the head is another thing that ll never had a explication
I find that extremely offensive! Both to his family and the memory of A. Senna. There is no "god", and if had been one, why the fuck would he kill a young, nice man. I know that you know there is no "god", and that all religeous people just say it to get attention, what the fuck made early humans think it was som all mighty spirit, just that it was invisible?
Get you fucking shit together and show some RESPECT for a human 10 times better than you and your ridiculous religion!
@xXZikaXx i believe that life never finish, death for us is the end but i think it's only a change, nobody is here by any chance. The churchs tell a lot of historys and i don't belive them i only believe in soul evolution
@xXZikaXx to associate this talk with religion only show that the subject is beyond, by a long shot, from your capacity of ratiocination....religion is only human crap.... created by the man the biggest problem of humanity.
@xXZikaXx Ayrton was a deeply religious man, show some fukcing respect even if you dont give a shit about religion. Senna openly spoke about his religious expriences, so from your previous comment, you are saying that Senna talked about his religion to get attention, yet you say you are a fan? You are contradicting yourself.
Touching fact about this crash: They found a folded Austrian flag in Senna's cockpit when they inspected the crash scene. Senna predicted to win the race and wave the flag in honor of Roland Ratzenberger who also died two days prior
i dont know what people intend to say when they like or dislike a video like this. Plz dont use that button for such videos. if you want to say something plz comment.
Deus fez o domingo para ver o Senna correr, mas nao era suficiente, Senna morreu porque Deus o queria na sua equipa. Por isso no domingo quando chove e se ouve trovao é o Senna correndo no ceu, Força Senna!
God created sundays so he can watch Senna driving, not being enough, Senna died so he could be in His team, thats why when you hear a thunder on a Stormy Sunday its Senna racing in Heavens! Go Senna!
WEIRD 5 MINS JUST AFTER WATCHING THIS I WAS READING THE SUN AND ONE OF THE REPORTS WAS ABOUT DAN WHELDON THE BRIT DRIVER KILLED IN INDY CAR RACING YESTEDAY I THINK THAT PROVES WHAT A DANGEROUS GAME THIS IS AND SHOULD BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY PEOPLE ARE CALLING FOR BOXING TO BE BANNED ALL THE TIME BUT IT'S OK TO RISK YOUR LIFE DRIVING AT 200 MPH WITH OTHER CARS NEAR YOU BUT IT'S UNSAFE TO TAKE A FEW PUNCHES WITH SOFT GLOVES ON COMPLETE MADNESS WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A BOXER GOT KILLED IN THE RING
@DAJAZDJ1 Racing however is actually very safe. Senna was actually the last man to die in a Formula 1 race. Dan Wheldon was not wearing a piece of safety equipment when he crashed. In both cases, people thought the cars should not race on the track. Las Vegas because the speedway was to fast, and here because Senna's teamate got injured and another man was killed in qualifying.
@toupe454 First, if Wheldon had stayed low he would be alive today. He made a fatal error of driving towards the accident. Second, no piece of equipment could have saved him except possibly an enclosed canopy because he hit the catch fence head first.
Canopies have saved many lives in drag boat racing and Offshore racing. Maybe open wheel racing should take a look at canopies.
one thing to know about this motorsport god is the following :
At that time, formula 1 cars could reach about 1200 horsepower. every single driver tested it and asked for their car to be reduced to "only" 800 - 850 horsepower. every single one but senna, he keeped the 1200 HP and raced it a couple of times... that killed him
if only he knew this turn would be his last ... RIP Ayrton ... Rest In Peace
@loulimina You clearly know nothing about F1, the turbocharged F1 cars only operated with 1200hp in qualifying because they are only completing one lap at full speed, this means the engine wont burn out, If anyone used their car with a qualifying engine setup for a 60 lap race their engine would burn out after a few laps because the engine would not be able to cope with the stresses and the heat. They used around 800-850 hp in races. The car he died in wasn't turbocharged and had 790hp.
Fucking hell, people talking about the Williams team as if they INTENDED Senna's death. Because that was TOTALLY their intention! Lmao you dumb pricks!
Dear Senna, every time that I watch your videos I remember how the world misses you, specially in Brazil. Our country has changed so much since you left us. More than a exemple of an sportsman, you're still a exemple about being struggling in every areas of our lives. Thank you again.
@TsvNando Also Jackie Kennedy died, Rwandan genocide in full swing, Fred West hangs himself and Rosemary West jailed for 10 murderers. '94 was one hell of a year .
RIP Ayrton Senna. The charisma, the style, the passion, the love, the emotion, never to be seen before, and perhaps never to be seen again. RIP the greatest driver ever, we all miss you.
OK we get it!! No one stopped to help him!! Stop commenting on the same issue. They're in race cars listening to their teams on the radio. Not to mention you have track officials and a safety car leading them around. If you did research you would of known that a suspension piece went right through his skull, not a site for the weak.

@DIONE821 You really must retire your last sentence, do you think we have killed Senna? Then I could say that Malaysia is guilty for the death of Simoncelli, this makes nonsense. Senna was a F1 Hero, absolutely the best and We still love him. But the true guilties are who allowed to repair in that way a steering wheel column, who allowed a F1 car of just 500 kg with 750 hp and no safety at all, no suspension retaining system and a widely open cockpit.

if the world is so cruel, I don't want to believe in God. He's is worse than the 'devil'.
siddharthjoshi91 3 months ago
@shrapnelV Well that's great logic. Why exactly would "god" do that? And what evidence are you basing that on? Hitler was still fairly young when he died. Was that "god's" plan, too? Dunce.
MrThreshold2009 3 months ago
@MrThreshold2009 haha you put a big smile in my face, how its so easy....just play the hook and some fish bite. But i can see cleary that you are a small one so i don't have motivation to waste time...but everyone understands what deserves to, you could never get the point a few people could. Man they just go away, god take for many reasons, some did what had to did early in life and some don't use the talent for the reason that should be used....
shrapnelV 3 months ago
Responder a este vídeo... don't and never ll exists evidences for things like this. And you speaking like a fat black woman taking advantage shaking the head is another thing that ll never had a explication
shrapnelV 3 months ago
@shrapnelV Your response makes very little sense and only furthers your delusional qualities in my, and I'm sure the other's, eyes.
MrThreshold2009 3 months ago
@shrapnelV
Get you fucking shit together and show some RESPECT for a human 10 times better than you and your ridiculous religion!
xXZikaXx 3 months ago
@xXZikaXx i believe that life never finish, death for us is the end but i think it's only a change, nobody is here by any chance. The churchs tell a lot of historys and i don't belive them i only believe in soul evolution
shrapnelV 3 months ago
@xXZikaXx to associate this talk with religion only show that the subject is beyond, by a long shot, from your capacity of ratiocination....religion is only human crap.... created by the man the biggest problem of humanity.
shrapnelV 3 months ago
@xXZikaXx Ayrton was a deeply religious man, show some fukcing respect even if you dont give a shit about religion. Senna openly spoke about his religious expriences, so from your previous comment, you are saying that Senna talked about his religion to get attention, yet you say you are a fan? You are contradicting yourself.

Ratzenberger dies one day prior to Senna's crash

Touching fact about this crash: They found a folded Austrian flag in Senna's cockpit when they inspected the crash scene. Senna predicted to win the race and wave the flag in honor of Roland Ratzenberger who also died two days prior

what actually killed him? i'm assuming that it was internal injuries but i don't actually know. RIP

@daltonplaysthesax The front right tire violently impacted the helmet and, due to the speed, it caused a massive brain bleeding

DAJAZDJ1 4 months ago
@DAJAZDJ1 Racing however is actually very safe. Senna was actually the last man to die in a Formula 1 race. Dan Wheldon was not wearing a piece of safety equipment when he crashed. In both cases, people thought the cars should not race on the track. Las Vegas because the speedway was to fast, and here because Senna's teamate got injured and another man was killed in qualifying.
toupe454 4 months ago
@toupe454 First, if Wheldon had stayed low he would be alive today. He made a fatal error of driving towards the accident. Second, no piece of equipment could have saved him except possibly an enclosed canopy because he hit the catch fence head first.
Canopies have saved many lives in drag boat racing and Offshore racing. Maybe open wheel racing should take a look at canopies.
dieseldog00 4 months ago
one thing to know about this motorsport god is the following :
At that time, formula 1 cars could reach about 1200 horsepower. every single driver tested it and asked for their car to be reduced to "only" 800 - 850 horsepower. every single one but senna, he keeped the 1200 HP and raced it a couple of times... that killed him
if only he knew this turn would be his last ... RIP Ayrton ... Rest In Peace
loulimina 4 months ago
@loulimina You clearly know nothing about F1, the turbocharged F1 cars only operated with 1200hp in qualifying because they are only completing one lap at full speed, this means the engine wont burn out, If anyone used their car with a qualifying engine setup for a 60 lap race their engine would burn out after a few laps because the engine would not be able to cope with the stresses and the heat. They used around 800-850 hp in races. The car he died in wasn't turbocharged and had 790hp.

OK we get it!! No one stopped to help him!! Stop commenting on the same issue. They're in race cars listening to their teams on the radio. Not to mention you have track officials and a safety car leading them around. If you did research you would of known that a suspension piece went right through his skull, not a site for the weak.
