Lee was Good but he was doing what he does best anyway. All of Roger Moore's Films were Crap Accept Live & Let Die. But only coz he didn't do the brow.

Its the vocal additions at 1:27 secs until 2:00 that sounds like a bad horror sitcom from the late 60's. That was probably the time that the MGM/EON guys looked at each other and began shaking their heads.
My daughter is a major Alice Cooper fan. She was annoyed that this didn't get used. I said to her; "No James Bond film, starring Roger Moore could possibly live up to a title by Alice Cooper!"

Im 47 and have followed bond since 5 yrs of age, always followed music as well, big alice fan but I feel that lulu version combined with music content, horns sounding like bullets etc, is by far a stronger choice. Of course Id rather go see alice then lulu.

This is a very good song, and I would definitely buy it now if it came out again. In terms of the whole Alice Cooper vs Lulu argument I would actually prefer the Lulu song, although the lyrics are atrocious. Why? The main theme by John Barry - it's superb - it's not his fault they wrote so badly to it. But the theme works, and is classic Bond, and sounds much more better and original than Alice Cooper's effort.
