6m's actually redline lower than 5ms, thats why they have more low end, cause the were put into jap luxary cars overseas, like crowns and cresta's. Please, for everyone's sake, stop whipping the dog piss out of the 6m. Im not tryin to rag on anyone, but it makes me hurt a little on the inside to see them abused.
my brother is doing the same swap. hes putting the 6mgte with his w58. in an 83 celica supra. his first car was a 6m-ge 87 cressida. and im currently riding in a stock 7mge 88 supra. good luck on your build man, i wish you traction!

just so you know 5m and 6m's dont gain anymore power past 5600 rpm so theres no point in reving it out to 7k
