English Choruses are great and some of the best choirs around the world, and Rachmaninov´s music is marevelous, it is a great combination, Anglican and Russian Orthodox music are fantastic, magical, great!!!!, english composers of anglican music really they had a magical inspiration, the same is with rusian composers of Orthodox music.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Rachmaninov's score; as I feel that the women add a lot of I don't know, authenticity, to the piece. But this men's arrangement is absolutely breathtaking. The mixture of male voices combined with the lower tessitura just adds so much warmth and serenity to the piece.
Thanks for making my life more difficult Kingofsng...Now I have to go back and forth between which arrangement is my favorite : P
I dont like. The Rachmaninov's score request also the female voices ... and in this version you miss female voices. Am disagree with other versions that no respect original version. Just because if the piece was for a male choir, Rachmaninov wrote it differrent. Point.
also, more often than not, Her veil is blue, signifying her Ever Virginity. Interesting that the 'pillars' of Protestantism....none the less than Zwinglii, Calvin, Luther and Wesley, kept the Tradition of Mary's 'Ever Virginity', now, much disputed by the so-called Protestant 'West', of course, they all dispute each other anyway. But, that's for another time.

Unfortunately no Orthodox icons... This doesn`t belong together- Bogorodice Djevo and wrong western representations of our Bogorodica. No matter who sings...
very good,....as a 'technicality' the Ever Virgin is ALWAYS depicted as such by the Holy Church with 3 stars , one each shoulder, and one on Her headcovering...signifying the Status. If one studies such things...ALL...Eastern Orthodox ikons follow this ancient Tradition, and She ALWAYS except for the Annunciation ikon, is depicted with the Christ Child, for She ALWAYS points to Him, the First Born SON of the Most High GOD. Slava Isuzu Hristos, Slava Naviki..!
Beautiful...
