It is amazing how closely the camera, path of jumping, distance/speed you move when you lose rings or hit a spring, etc., match the original. Replicating that seems like it would have been tedious. This must be a labor of love! And that's not even getting into the awesome graphics and detailed animation! Very nice work!

The details are great, but at the same time it kinda serves as the problem. The textures of the background and the enemies are blending in too much that, not only do they seem non existent, it makes progression of the stage as if you were running blind. One second you get off a loop, then the next you find out you got hit by who knows what.

Likewise the textures in general are rather hard on the eyes. Not to an extreme, but it can really hard to look at within minutes of play
