@starkweather444 Not really I thought that 10 months ago but now I am woken up and realize Rachel is a corporate shill like all the rest of them. If you want journalism check out Amy Goodman or John Pilger.
The collective buffoonery of Hannity, Beck and O'Reilley don't combine for a tenth of Rachel Maddow's skills as an interviewer. No matter where you are politically, you have to admit that the political dialogue on MSNBC, while not perfect by any means, is far superior to the yellow journalism of Fox News, and is based more on facts and discussion than on yelling and screaming and crying and showboating and calling our half-white president racist against white people.
I don't care if you're one of those folks who thinks the liberal media is out to get you, but Rachel Maddow is one of the sharpest, most intelligent, and thoughtful interviewers out there over ANYONE right, left or center. She treats her guests with respect, but is candid and straightforward. There is no "fix" in this interview - no entrapment or hostility. Just good solid questions on national security policy. Well done, Rachel.

...to protect the Kurds in the North and the Shiites in the South. It was just a question of time before there would be another military confrontation between the US/UK and Saddam. The US had no direct sources as to Saddam's WMD resources, but enough history.
Maddow is correct that the (illusory) promise of democracy in Iraq was not worth our loss of treasure. But Wolfowitz said that years ago.
Bush's intelligence sources were the CIA and the special agency in the Pentagon under Donald Feith (created by Wolfowitz). He had no other sources and they presented a clear (but false) picture of the danger of Saddam. What should have taken one year to complete, the disarmament of Saddam, was still not finished after 12 years because of Saddam's lying and intimidation of the UN weapons inspectors. The US and Great Britain had (justifiably) compromised the sovereignty of Irag...
Director4u2c is reading his own bias into the video when he says that "Maddow puts Tom Ridge on his ass." The central question for Bush & Co. after 9/11 - as incompetent as they've proven to be - was how to protect the US against another such attack. Maddow's claim that it was "proven" that Saddam didn't have WMDs and wasn't reconstituting his nuclear weapons programs is wrong. There were dissenting voices, but there are always dissenting voices, on every policy.
she conducts 'big boy' interviews and Glen Beck just weeps when things dont go his way.Its not abt name calling, but Maddow is an adult and the hannity's and becks are just in some weird state of regression..
Towards the end, where Ms. Maddow challenges Ridge on the right wing meme that our devastating losses in Iraq will prove worthwhile if and when a democracy is established in the Middle East, convinces me that Rachael Maddow would be a brilliant choice to replace Tim Russert on Meet the Press. David Gregory throwing softballs just doesnt cut it. Given the current condition of our Fourth Estate, I have no hope of realizing such aspiration.
Exactly she shows respect to people even she doesn't agree with them. That's unlike fox news who basically yells at anyone who doesn't agree with their political agenda
Tom Ridge is one of the few Republicans i actually have any respect for. And Rachel Maddow is a ridiculously intelligent broadcaster.

At least she doesn't treat him like an idiot as Foxers typically treat liberals.

OMG, Ridge is babbling so nonsensically, he sounds like Sarah Palin!

Fox News is more opinion network.
While MSNBC is a little more journalistic. But
Keith Oberman, does do his opinion rants (Worst person in the world).
