I remember where I was in Second period my sophmore year in high school. It was my reading class and we had to test our local tv station for the city/school district and sure enough we saw that tower 1 had a huge hole in it and was fully involved on the upper floors. I was volunteering with my cities fd and sure enough as soon at the pentagon gets hit i was the only one allowed to leave i was paged for a meeting at station one.
I've always felt the United States' response to the devastating events of September 11th should have been peaceful and reflective of our humanity. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I created a video and posted it on my channel to honor those who lost their lives that morning and in the wars that followed. Peace is possible, but it has to start somewhere.
Excellent job on the video with such a sensitive and heart wrenching subject for all of us... The pictures you chose to post were in tune perfectly with the lyrics. I find myself wondering what you do for work and hope you're doing something that utilizes the sensitivity and creativity you've shown here. Thanks so much for posting.
As a firefighter, father, brother, husband, uncle, and son of so many that love me and I love, my heart goes out to every single person involved or directly related to what took place on this day. I remember it as if it were yesterday and I'll shed a tear tomorrow I'm sure... 10th years later.
@442mpd Do you know he survived. he had to take time off because of the fame of that Picture, & what had happened that day. I read it in an article. God Bless the USA
Oh my god I have so many mixed feelings about this I hardly remember when it happend I saw it on tv and thought it was a movie at least bin laden is dead now and when he died I was talking about it on the bus and my driver said I need to shut up because I might offend someone I told her well if they get offended they need to get the hell out of the country
I remember when the teacher showed us in third grade and I cry cas I had family member there and I still cry every year for them and ill never forget it
God Bless Each And Every Hero. we will stand at your side till the end. Shoulder to shoulder we will fight for every free man. Your job is done, we will carry you home and carry on the fight.
From 4 Army Co-operation/Fighter Squadron, Royal Air Force. God Bless and Thank You
I was in third grade on 9/11. I'll never forget going home and watching the news about what was going on a mere 60 miles down the road at the Pentagon. And it's hard to believe that we're approaching the 10 year anniversary of this event. God Bless The USA, never forget.
I was in Pre-School and my teacher was reading a book to us, when she stopped reading an announced something very bad had happened. I was too young to understand, but now I completely understand. I'll never forget that moment.
God bless the troops and bless the police, firefighters, and EMTs. They are all real american heros. I'm about the to graudate from high school, and I plan to join the military. God bless the troops. Amen.
fuck stupid terrorists i hope every single terrorist rots in hell and if i could create a place for it then hell would look like heaven compared to it. Evertime i see something about the twin towers i just want to hunt down a terrorist and shoot him in the knee caps and stab him in the face with saldering iron and beat him to death witha tire iron. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THE PPL WHO SERVE AND HAVE SERVED FOR AMERICA THANK YOU!!!!
I was in 2nd grade I was in my art class the principal came in and took us into the gym where they had the tv set up we saw the plane hit the 2nd tower I had no clue till I got home that my grandpa died in the twin towers I'm now a senior in high school and will be joining the army when I graduate
@Photosenior1 This is Midnight's grandmother & a US ARMY vet, though my service was during the Viet Nam war, I have the same respect for all our military fighting for us now as I did when I was serving this great country, THANKS TO ALL SERVICE MEMBERS, past, present & future!!!!!
I was sitting in a high school English class. It was my senior year and i was still unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. I had been offered a few athletic (football) and academic scholarships to mostly small schools. The biggest of them was the University of Iowa. I kind of wanted to join the military but I did not want to just give up these scholarships. My English teacher turned on the TV and let us watch the live footage on the news.
@GunnyHayes My father and brother were killed in the attacks. I had made my decision. Nine months later I was leaving for Boot Camp. Two years after that I did my part in the invasion of Baghdad. Today, eight years, two purple hearts and a silver star later I am sitting on youtube reminiscing on why i decided to join the Marine Corps. I don't care if you support the war. I don't care if you think 9/11 was an "inside job". I don't care if you think I am the biggest piece of shit on this planet.
@GunnyHayes What you think isn't going to make or break me. Fact is I lace up my boots every day and just try to make a difference. I fight for the guys I eat breakfast with. I fight for my mom and sister back home. I fight for my cheating ex girlfriend. I fight for each and every one of you. If a day goes by and not one soldier near me dies or not one innocent back home is killed it is a successful day.
Any imbecile can be a christian. It takes guts to stand up and say Im an atheist. Real balls to fight for logic and progression. 2 thousand years ago people believed the earth was flat, that women were property of their husbands. If Jesus was real he would be so angry at what his followers have become, a bunch of uppity mother fuckers that push their beliefs onto others and exploit his words to feel better about themselves. Religion is what keeps this world a brackish, stagnant one. PROGRESS!
@WEtranceLA I checked out ur channel and found out why ur so STUPID ur from LA. and I'd rather b a whacko redneck anyday than be a STUPID atheist. I mean who thinks that there isn't a God. How do you think this world got here. And people died on 9-11 so get your fat ass off this page cuz this is for those who understand it and you so DO NOT get it so SHUT THE HELL UP you hav no right to diss the ppl who died for your sorry ungraitful ass that would be the ppl who died 9-11 and JESUS he died 4 U.
@PeaceLoveAndBabyDuc Who thinks there isn't a god? 16% of Americans actually, as well as 87% of scholars and 94% of scientists. I never "dissed" 9-11 i dissed this redneck country garbage that exists for this asshole to sell more records and exploit Jesus and those who died on 9-11. Don't get into a word war with me man, I am way too smart for you. Go pray.
2. correction don't diss the redneck country or Alan Jackson.
3. I'll pray for you that maybe you'll become a little smarter. and I'm not starting any wars. hopefully this will be the last time I have to tell you shut up.
@PeaceLoveAndBabyDuc Im not dissing "this" redneck country, Im only dissing the rednecks in this country. Save your time and please don't. I don't need any one to pray for me, Im doing just fine. Maybe I'll pray that you and your kind will pick up a book for once that wasn't written by Ayn Rand or Glen Beck. Seek intellect, not god.
"im not sure i can tell the difference between iraq and iran. But i know jesus and i talk to god" oh my this is some redneck shit. Please keep this in Texas, i mean i was pissed about 9-11 too, but c'mon this is straight corny hillbilly shit. "Go to church and hold hand with strangers" Any talentless hack can make a song praising god and america and sell it to the right wing evangelical morons of this country. Damn IM PROUD TO BE CALIFORNIAN.
@WEtranceLA You're an idiot I know Jesus and I talk to God so diss 'em all you want but don't post it cause it's STUPID! oh yeah and I'm a redneck so just SHUT UP!!!!
@PeaceLoveAndBabyDuc Yeah, pretty much everything you replied with proves my point. Fucking whacko redneck. If you really think you speak directly to god, you should be evaluated for your mental health. Now please go back to the woods and have sex with your sister.
i was at my grandmothers while my mom was out i live in small town GA until i was 8 i never understood what 9/11 was when i heard i swore i would fight in the armed forces as soon as i could

I was in 5th grade. The art teacher came into the room and told us the WTC had been attacked. I remember looking at my teachers face and all the color drained out and she looked scared, and I became afraid but I didnt quite understand. Then we went on with art like it was nothing and we laughed and had fun, but then by lunch I understood what had happened.
I was in 10th grade home room when we turned the tv on and i had to leave and call family to make sure they were safe in NY. I will never forget this as long as i live.
I remember i was in 7th grade homeroom. I heard someone say that the world trade center was hit. we were told to turn on our tv in the classroom and we watched...
I will never forget thoese who died. I was in 3rd grade playing on the playground when i found out from my Grandma that The flown the first airplain in the first twin tower and than the second one. I feel sometimes that if i could i would give my life for that person with there baby there daughter there brother, mother, father, so they would still be here with there family. BIN LADEN NEEDS TO DIE!!! For putting all of us through this!
I will never forget,i was only in 1st grade when it happened, but i remeber and i always will.the people on flight 93 saved bush, and so many others 2day i will think of them & their bravery
I was in 6th grade, I was really dopey at that point in my life so I didn't really understand what happened until I got home and saw it on TV. I was in math class when it happened, but we weren't told until PE class 2 hours later. I went to a K-8 school, during lunch the principal came in and told us to not tell he younger kids about it.
I feel bad for not thinking it was a big deal back then :( Never Forget
I was in the 2nd grade, and my mom called me home. I wan't diagnosed with autism yet and it was circle time in mid-morning and my father picked me up while mom was doing 80 on the highway home. I finally came into the living room to see my mother on her knees. I couldn't understand what was going on, I remember seeing two towers exploding on TV. I drew a picture of a "BOMB" on paper for my mother to see and she cried.3 years later my brother went into war.
today i can only saw that 10 years ago was a real hard to to stand up. i can remember it all well........
i hope that you all remember and never forget, i hope you all salute those who began to try and the others who had to die. nobody can say it didnt happen, nobody can say that they wont remember.....where were you!?
this is such a hard thing to watch, especially if you were a witness and a survivo

I was at work. After the second plane hit the towers the owner closed up the shop and sent everyone home. On the ride back into the city I remember thinking where are all the planes??? That was one strange motorcycle ride home and I can remember it like it was yesterday.
I was at work listening to the radio.. thought the first plane was an accident.. sat in shock and confusion when the second plane hit.. Fear crept in as I heard about the Pentagon and the field in Ohio. Natural reaction to phone my dad in another state. He hadn't heard, I told him to turn on the tv, he cried out in shock, OMG! It was horrible. But for a while, Americans pulled together and the unity was nice. Too bad it took this to bring us together and too bad it didn't last. God Bless.
I was in fourth grade. My father was at the pentagon luckily he was on the other side. We didnt hear from him for the whole day, I dont remember it real well, we were stationed at Ft. Belvoir though. Ever since then I have wanted to form my country in some way or another. And this summer I turn 18 and will go to BCT Army 11Bravo (infantry) I signed when i was 17 but couldnt go to BCT due to my senior year. I will never forget. Father missed 4 years of my life in Iraq. I wont forget ever.
I think this is the best song to come out of the whole #2^78(&6 horror - A friend of mine sister was on one of those planes - its time to forgive - never forget - but forgive.
I was a sophomore in high school on 9/11/01. I remember the day very clearly, and was old enough to understand as well as I could now what was going on. We spent the whole school day watching the news. I'll never forget the shock. God bless.
i really dont remember all the details and didnt understand it at the time but what i do remember is that i was driving to school i was in kindergarten and i was too young to understand but i remember my mom saying" Jared, some people flew planes into the twin towers in new york" no idea what she was talking about but she started crying. i live in the Chicagoland area and whenever the sears tower or navy pier gets attacked ill be at the new ground zero. im 14 now. god bless.
i still get tears in my eyes when i think of this day. i remember waking up and i came out of my bedroom and my grandma said that america has been attacked. i skipped school that day and watched the news all day. i couldn't beleive that we actually got attacked. it just pisses me off when people sit there and say its a conspiracy and that bush did it, that just makes me want to just knock them out. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS! GOD BLESS THE VICTIMS OF THAT HORRIBLE DAY! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!
i love rap i die for rap but this kinda contrey i love and im sorry for all of the famlies lost in this we will never forget u :( we all love you no one will forget this sad day
I was in first grade during the attacks... I remember hearing it over the intercom not particularly comprehending, and I remember my mom picking my sibings and I up and I went home and saw the plane crashes on tv... That was the first time I ever invoked the name of god. but im pretty sure it wasnt in vain... God bless America...
i was in kindergarten and i feel bad because i didnt remember anything....but i remember stories from my friends a year later... i just feel confused because to me the war is stupid...if god has forgivness why the hell cant we...instead people are dying because no1 can get along....i wish i can say it will get easier has time gose on....but truley i think it'll get worse....

I was serving my country in South Korea when this happened. My roommate called me and said, "Turn on the TV we're under attack! They've hit New York and the Pentagon!" It is not a pleasant feeling being half away around the world from your own nation while it is under attack.
I was in fourth grade. Came to school and saw it on the tv in class. We didn't do any work that day. Just watched the towers fall... I will never forget that day.
i was asleep when my older sister came and woke me up and said that the twin towers had been attacked and i just realized that my best freind might be on one those palne and i just feel to my knees and cried my eyse out and praying to god that she is ok and than she came to school later that day and i just gave her the biggest hug and said than you god for making sure she was ok and that she is still alive

I was ten years old when this happened. We were in the middle of english class, when my teacher got a call about the attack. One of my best friends was crying because he lost his brother in the twin towers. He has gone on to join the Marines, and he will never forget. It is because of this that I will be joining the Army. GOD BLESS THE USA!
i was in 1rst grade i think and my teacher was crying and we were told to sit down on the floor. my dad picked me up and said "those fucking terriorists!" i didint know what actualy happened the next day

@TheTill12 i am with you all the way the hell with osama he is a bastard and remember God gave us and the greatest is love i cry for the victims and there and i will always remember that fatefull phone call when the man realised the plane was controled by osama' goons
i was in kidnergarten and i didnt have school tha day because i was gonna get my grandma from the airport. she was involved in the attacks, but she stayed in seattle for a couple days before the airports opened. she was flying during the north tower hit, and they said on the plane there was an international emergency, and they landed.
So typical of an American to think the whole WORLD stops turning when YOUR nation gets attacked -- losing a FRACTION of the # of civilians who die in wars everyday. The depressing part is that we HAD plenty of sympathy from the rest of the world -- for one thing, Muslim-Americans died in those horrible and morally indefensible terrorist attacks too. And we blew it all fighting against a country that had nothing at all to do with 9-11. And killing civilians in the process.
i was in 2nd grade and i remember some kids were being picked up early. but they never told us. when i got home from school that day my mom showed me and i cryed
I was in 5th grade! They didnt send us home early though! I didnt want to belive it! But we didnt do anything in school that day we just talked about what we thought!
Even being in Canada not being American this is so sad it should be sad for people on the other side of the world i was only about 8 when it happened but i remeber it was on the tv and i was watching it over and over again i didnt understand then but if i was the age i am not i wold have probly cryed
i was in1st grade .I WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR FUCKING BITCHES WHO KILLED ALL THOSE PEOPLE AND THANK YOU THE PEOPLE WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE PLANE IN THE PENSILVANIA FEILD!!!!WE LOVE AND MISS YOU
ok fins september 11 was an inside job.. I am a firefighter, and you are entitled to your opinion, but let me ask you this. Why would the us government want to kill its own people especially if we found out about it.. It was a terrorist attack, you can tell yourself what you need to to feel safe.
I was in 5th grade when it happened. It doesn't matter if it was an attack, a conspiracy, or any other crazy idea the people will think of, we need to come together and stop fighting each other. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!!

I remember coming in from recess and he was sitting at his desk crying...He wasn't a little man we was strong..seeing him cry was soo painful. The intercom came on and told us the news...you wouldn't think it'd be this way but a room full of 12, 2nd grader became quiet...These people will never be forgotten.
I was in the third grade. My family thought we had lost our Nana and Grandpa. Thankfully, they were on another plane. That was pretty sad day. I will never forget what those terrorists did to us. Each and everyone of them need to killed!!!

God bless the USA and all those families involved.

I wanted to be an astronaut up until the 4th grade, when I watched the events of 9/11 unfold. I watched bodies and debris fall, and dead person line the streets unmoving. Like I said, I wanted to be an astronaut until that day. That day I wanted to be at ground zero, helping as best as i could. Ever since that day I've longed to protect this country against all threats, foreign or domestic. My generation, our generation, will never be the same again. God bless America.

I was in second grade. My teacher didn't show us the news, but she was crying. I felt sad because she was crying and I felt bad for the people trapped in the towers. I didn't really care much about it when I was younger. But now whenever I see the towers, or whats left of them, I think about the lives lost and the people having to deal with the burden of sadness about those they lost. When I get older, I will serve in the Air Force and protect my country, and other countries, from this terror...

GunnyHayes 1 year ago

PROGRESS!

God Bless.

And killing civilians in the process.

ok fins september 11 was an inside job..

I was at home that morning, six months pregnant, just started graduate school. My father and one of my closest friends called me at almost the same time to tell me to turn on the television. I'll never forget it; I asked "What channel?" and he said, "It won't matter. Just turn it on."

I was in sixth grade. I was getting checked out of school because I was sick. I walked into the office and everyone was crowded around the tv watching it. I think it was that day that I realized I wanted to join the military and make a difference.

I was in 2nd..I don't remember much but I do remember the day. My teacher was going to be going to fight for our country soon.

God bless America.

i was in 2nd grade but during 9-11 i was in disney world and we were supposed to fly out that day we ended up driving all the way home and passing the twin towers on the way home on a bridge and saw the black smoke coming out it was so upseting i will never forget
