I for one always enjoy your videos retro goop, and having the small logo on the film, doesnt ruin anything of the viewing enjoyment as far as i can tell.
i love seeing old tv ads however I wish people would not F-them up with watermarks logos and things not originally with the ad.. this ruins future history and takes credit for something you didn't create or own.It would be nice for people to know there once was a time that you could see the whole tv screen...
@loxleymendoza Sorry, I am one of the guys who actually buys the original 16mm commercials and spends the money to transfer them, then i spend 15mins to up load each commercial, and you want them without my email on them? Be glad you get to watch them for free on youtube and please come over and build paint my house for free, cuz i hate to pay for the work, everything should be free
I agree Mr Mendosa, very well said. As for the Retro Goop, perhaps your efforts would be more productive printing baseball caps with your business logo for so many homeless and jobless persons. You see, that's the beauty of music, pictures, movies, and what makes people happy. Nobody asked you to contribute, in fact many of us who do contribute without a selfish breath of air or expecting anything in return but knowing that others will smile because of us. For shame!
@only1greaserjoe Thanks for your comments, but this is a business for me, It's not a free service for those that want to watch old tv commercials without my logo that i bought and paid for expensive transfers. I have 10's of $1000s wrapped up in my films, That you just happen to get to see cuz i have many on youtube, Feel free to crop the logos off with your computer by scrolling down. I'm sure modern tv drives you crazy too with all the logos, You get what you pay for.
One of those ads that just screams "1960s". I remember seeing this series for my entire childhood. This ad is one of those iconic ads from that decade, along with the Jolly Green Giant, Josephine the Plumber, the Little Old Winemaker, the Man from Glad, and the giant in the washer (Action laundry detergent). Proof positive that advertising people were doing heavy drugs in that era.
In The Man from UNCLE episode "The Round Table Affair" a knight rides in and a character says "What is this, a commercial?" Haven't seen these ads since the 60s but still remember them well.
@vegas823 Thank you for identifying the White Knight. Now I'd like to know what the name of the white horse...I wonder if it had been in any movies. Also, I would like to know the name of the actress playing the housewife. I have a friend who was an actress in commercials and TV in the Sixties, and I know it is not here. Love her expressions as if that was the important job in her life....getting her family's c lothes clean...How retro can you get?
One of the famous Colgate-Palmolive Ajax "White Knight" detergent ads, originally seen between 1964 and '67 [this one is from early '65]. Dick Tufeld is the announcer in the middle.
