My cat Marshall does the same thing... if I make the same hand motions it's "game on"! Never hurtful biting, just gentle mouthing. Marsh also has a kink at the end of her tail too - broke it herself as a tiny kitten, she came to us as a 5 week old kitten with a little hook tail :P

this play-fighting is good for 2 reasons: it teaches the cat how to fight if they get caught outside and have to deal with another cat; AND it helps them blow off steam, especially if they get mad at you, for being gone all day, for example. Best to use a GLOVE that they can't bite or scratch through...mine knew she could SERIOUSLY fight if the glove was on, but otherwise, she was careful not to bite or scratch my bare hand.

@erniewilson1 that cat wanted to be fussed after the playing lowdope did there...and the meowing through the video was because lowdope stopped playing with her....i have had cats all my life, and that cat is just playing, there is no menace or victitious intent form either the cat or lowdope....i mean, moire isnt even usin claws for godsake. so instead of gettin all up tight because you dont do this with your animals, relax. cats crave human interaction and and play sometimes, just how cats are.
