@MistyLuvifyify Skype is internet phone. You can't put it on your regular touch-tone phone. You can buy an internet phone, however. Skype has a few on their web site. Just note that it costs money to call a regular phone. Skype-to-Skype calls are free, though.

Obviously they charge for land line phones but do they also charge for cell phones? If so, then I don't understand the benefits of using this system as compared to yahoo messenger and some of the other protocols. Magic Jack cost $20 per year after you pay $40 for the system & to get it activated. I don't know if the Gizmo Project is cheaper but it's prepaid.
