Its also simple math. 160 mph= 240 fps, 1 mile= 5282 feet. 5282 divided by 240= 22.1 seconds. The OD is at 11885 for the first 8 seconds then goes to 11886 for the remaining 18 seconds. even if the speed was 160 for the entire video it still would not have changed. @TinyG Its a car not a fighter jet, the video is only 26 seconds long... Even if he had been going 160 mph for the entire duration of the video (which he wasn't) the maximum distance he could have covered would be 1.1438 miles.
The R/T can hit 165mph+ with roughly $500.00 in add-ons. Programmer,cold air intake,throttle body spacer makes mine go past 160mph and on into the black/buried zone.The car needs a lower rear end gear but with the upgrades it's a night and day difference.
I have a Superchips programmer that will add a minimum of 35HP and about 15% more torque to the 5.7 Hemi 05-08. With one other part/throttle body spacer another 10-15hp is added and the torque increase is noticeable.Close to 400HP for a few easy installs= 170 top end.
@eldiablo68 I have the superships and dyno tested it and you are not getting numbers like that. Mine was stock 310 and after tune was 320 or so at the tires. I have shorty headers, no cats and flowmater exhaust. I got about 20 hp more in the mid-range. I would say that mine is now about 370 with all the mods you listed.
Electronic limiters can be tweaked/shorted or removed is what I have been told.The 5.7 Hemi runs great shifting in the red-zone where the power comes on.

I have the R/t Daytona and mine didnt come with a speed limiter, i got mine to 145 stock before the engine was being pushed alot, slapped on an intake, throttle body, throttle body spacer, exhaust dumps, and a diablosport chip and now my car will go over 160, i can get to 160 at 4900 rpms and itll still climb with the speedomoter sitting at 160. DONT TRY THIS without performance tires, with stock ones it will be shaky as hell and you could possibly blow a tire then u go byebye at 160...
The Predator is the shit. I had a Superchips cortex on mine and changed to the diablo, it blows the cortex out of the water. These programmers really wake up the engine on the 5.7L Hemi and unlease its hidden power.
I can personally vouch for this car. Removing the governor from these cars unleashes the full potential of the 5.7.
As for the comments about the odometer, It does change from 5 to 6 and if the video were a couple of seconds longer you would see it change to 7. If you don't believe I can break it down with math, although I feel some of you wouldn't have a chance in hell of comprehending.

Actually it doesn't change that much. On the stock 5.7 litre Hemi, it adds only like 5-7 RWHP running on 98 octane. The best thing about 98 is that it expands engine life and the mileage gets better, which is a BIG issue here in Europe, because 1 gallon costs about 5 dollars... ;-(
But driving a big american V8 is certainly worth that!!!! I would even drive a V8 if that meant selling my house and living in a tent.... ;-))) (I hope my wife never gets across this page... Haha!)
You can adjust any of the tunes to remove the speed limiter. Let us know how that mopar does... Is it a short ram or a long ram?
