  • Back in the late 70's to the early 80's, Hip Hop wasn't just about the Melle Mels, Grandmaster fLASH, The SugarHill Gang, Kurtis Blow and Afrika Bambatta, I just realized that there were a lot of obscure talented hiphoppers at the time. Youtube is very informative, thank God for that.

  • @afroblack1000 I know, I KNOW! Those genius pioneers are CRUCIAL, but my God, it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G to find so many unknown and forgotten obscure gems here!!!

  • What about Jocko Henderson back in the '50's? Jocko Jocko where've you been? Around the world & back again.. The Mr. Wiggles Rap by George Clinton was bit from Jocko who had a whole rap he used to say back then..

Or how about Dr. Perry Johnson?

  • THIS!, is the FIRST rap on wax. Willie wood & duke booty. It wasn't the fat back band as every body seem to believe. These cats were down with kool herc & those cats from the boogie down if memory serves correct.

Kool Herc says: king tim was first !
