The stove top brewing could be informative if it isn't filled with a lot of the nonsense his other brewing videos are filled with. Watch the yeast starter series for a good example.

Brewing an AG IPA tomorrow with all Nelson Sauvin hops that my local shop just got in the day I popped in. They smell incredible.

@jturie Both Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka are amazing hops. The Summer Ale I did recently with just 80% 2-row and 20% Rye is INCREDIBLE!! Someone is getting a whole pint bottle of it.

@78recordrepair Use 100% lager malt. If you can get the Bohemian variety, get it.

I take the first half gallon of the first runnings and boil the shit out of it. Get it down to 1/2 cup from a half gallon. There's your faux decoction mash. Use a lager yeast. Either WLP-838, or a Czech variety. Hop heavily with Saaz and be sure to ferment COOL. I pitch warm and buy the time fermented starts it's 59F, and I then drop it to 50F. Yeast starter, lotsa yeast, beneficial. I'll be brewing one soon.
