@mbyrd001 Hi Love! Feel free to go here (public dot fotki dot com slash kamikak) to review my different styles at different links. Hopefully one of them will inspire you. But generally at 3 inches I wore my hair in a curly/fluffy twist outs done on wet hair and worn with a head band. Or I did palm rolls. HTH.
I used to wear my hear like this in college, but I used setting lotion which dried my hair n led to breakage. I like the idea of castor oil and twisting before setting. How do you keep it over the week.
i tried this and i loveeeee it!!! I was afraid to try different styles because i have extra thick hair but it worked!I love the way your curls turned out, i keep my hair twisted and it lasts for like a week. great video!
I have to say that I never thought I could actually do something with my hair. After, i seen your video, I was glad to be able to finally be able to do something with my natural hair. I do have one question.... I have very short hair. I have trouble with the two strands and I am unable to do it well enough so they cannot unravel. Do you have any suggestions?
May I say your hair is the off the chain. I love it, I like it and I thank you for sharing how you style and care for your hair. My hair is around the same texture and length and I am going to rock this style. Keep doing what you do
because it helps sistas come up with new and amazing styles to rock and feel beautiful with their natural hair. Many Thanks! mdhill1@yahoo.com
I love your hairstyle, can't wait until I start the transition of my relaxed hair to natural hair, I know it's got to be more healthy for us black women!!!
Beautiful! SO shiny! The sponge rollers dont suck out your moisture do they?? I always feared spong rollers for that reason lol but they curl so well! I figure since they are a sponge they absorb moisture.
that is a really cute style I will have 2 try your hair is so bouncy and shiny i will hav to try castor oil with styling...i usually use shea butter but it doesnt hold my hair as well as yours
I love this style. I am in the process of transitioning and that is the style I have been going with. It's really nice and easy to wear. I like it because it gives me the feeling I'm already wearing natural hair but I still have my relaxed ends haha. Love the style on you! It looks great!
I just discovered you and I think you are simply AWESOME!!! I tried this last night. I didn't have sponge rollers so I had to roll my twists up on plastic bone rollers. And I did achieve a curl of course not as tight and locked as yours... which is what I wanted. I think I'm going to purchase some sponge rollers because I LOVE THIS LOOK!!!! I didn't untwist my two-strand twists because I want this to last all throughtout the week. I think on Friday I will finally untwist.. THANKS 4 the TUTORIAL!
your hair is soo cute in this pic, i like the style.. im going to have to give it a try.. but im working on not using minimal to no heat at the moment so its going to be added as a future look
I love and appreciate ur video but I'm not sure if it was just me but the music in the background kinda drowned you out and it irritated me to the point where I had to mute it. I know you were probably saying some really valuable things... But thank you for demonstrating that! You're gorgeous and it came out so pretty! =)
Hi, I love your site, Please stop by my blog and shed some of your ideas, it's for all my girls caught in the tug of war b/t being natural & the 1B, 22in, this blog is for you:
I really like ur video As long as I've been trying to find something for my hair other then heat you did it, now I'm going to try it hopefully it works for my I'll let you know . My hair Is very fine and sot and it never holds a style . Wish me luck
@InspiredCoils I've tried this twice but my hair is just not setting. I leave it in over night but it just doesn't come out like a curl, just twisted...do you have any suggestions?
I love that you said you used castor oil. I am still in TWA stage I have a lot of growth in the the top, middle and sides.....I have tried about three different products but I haven't found one that keep my hair moisturized and soft. So products flake on my hair and/or scalp or smell bad....pls help any suggestions.
@flatlanderdot Do you know me? Exactly, so i suggest you accept the fact that I know my hair, and you don't. If i didn't like my hair I would relax it straight.
will this style make it since i prefer to be active...or can you recommend a styke that will? i am natural and find that my hair spends most of the time wrapped in scarves. i am looking for a fast hairdo on the fly that will after i run. thanks for your help.
I really hate that black women have to go through so much trouble with their hair. No way black women can jump in a pool, swim a few laps and get back to work in 30 minutes. High maintenance hair is what black is and always will be. A Pain.

your hair is sooo pretty! i have a question. i'm natural and my hair is short.. probably about half the length of yours.. can i still do that style on my hair?
hey i have a question i wanted to buy caster oil but am not sure which product to buy yet..i saw castor oil at the store today and i looked at the ingredients and it contained petroleum and mineral iil..so i didnt think it was good..advice?
@Sweetheartbabez You can get pure Castor Oil in the pharmacy section of a store or you can go to a health food store and get it. I wouldn't try the one with petro in it. That's not pure.
my hair is about 3 inches long can you suggest some styles you did at this stage....thanks
